We went to visit our old
comrade-in-arms, Chai Jianhua, and met Li Dao on the way. When we were about to
arrive in Gaoling Town, Nan Shanyun said to He Jiafu: "Grandpa, this Li
Dao talked a lot about political movements along the way. So many things have
happened, but they are not discussed in the newspapers and magazines. Why did
you not say a word all the way?"
He Jiafu didn't answer
Nanshanyun's question directly, but he told Nanshanyun about the meeting of
seven thousand people, saying that Han Suo told him.
The 7,000-member meeting
issued a series of guidelines and policies to correct "Left" mistakes
and adjust and restore the national economy. Mao Zedong said, "Excret your
anger during the day, watch a theater at night, do two things and one thing, it
depends on whether you are satisfied or not." There were also two
unsatisfactory points in the meeting: first, Peng Dehuai was not rehabilitated;
second, he was dissatisfied with Lin Biao's speech. The spirit of the
7,000-member meeting was only generally conveyed among ordinary cadres in the
army. Those who were designated as "Center-Right" were quietly
screened and removed from their hats.
On October 1, 1959, the
10th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. From
February to July 1959, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China
held several enlarged Politburo meetings and plenary sessions of the Central
Committee in Zhengzhou, Shanghai, Lushan and other places. Except for the
anti-"rightist" plenary session of the Central Committee in July, the
rest are rectifying the "left". Although Chairman Mao Zedong did not
talk about "rectifying the left", in essence he sang a low-key one.
", he criticized "some people are a little too hot". He
emphasized the need for investigation and research, "planting experimental
fields" and "settling down". Its intention is to correct blind
command and pompous style.
Mao Zedong could not
tolerate Peng Dehuai's criticism of the "Great Leap Forward" and the
commune movement. In his speech at the enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau
of the Central Committee, he did not mention Peng Dehuai's letter in a single
word, but pointed directly at Peng Dehuai. He said: "Vabilizers, I don't
agree with wearing hats. It's a matter of thinking methods. If we talk about
petty bourgeois fanaticism, but on the other hand, anti-rash advancement at
that time is the desolation of the petty bourgeoisie. Depressed,
pessimistic." He put the hat of "petty bourgeois discouragement"
on Boss Peng. He also said, "Some people are vacillating at critical
moments, unsteady in the turmoil of history. There are four lines in the history
of the party: Chen Duxiu's line, Li San's line, Wang Ming's line, and Gao-Rao's
line. Now it is a general line, standing Unsteady, twist Yangko." Lao Mao
contacted Peng Dehuai's history and traced back to the source. The meaning is
very clear: you, Lao Peng, took the wrong route and stood in the wrong team,
and the correct route was unstable. "Shaking" is not accidental.
Comrade Mao also said:
"The one who started the evil has no descendants. I have no descendants. I
have two charges: one is 10.7 million tons of steel, which is my determination.
Secondly, I have no right to invent the people's commune, but I have the right
to promote it. right".
At the Lushan meeting,
except for Mr. Zhu and Xi Zhongxun who remained silent and did not criticize
Peng Dehuai, the rest of the party and state leaders made "sharp"
speeches. Liu Shaoqi said: "It is better for me to usurp the party than
you, Peng Dehuai". Li Fuchun said: "You Peng Dehuai is Wei Yan with a
rebellious bone in the back of his head." Lao Mao said: "The struggle
that occurred in Lushan Mountain is a class struggle."
The meeting decided to
carry out the "struggle against right opportunism" in the whole
party. Convey the spirit of the meeting to the whole party and eliminate the
"poisonous". The People's Liberation Army has conveyed that cadres
above the platoon must completely eliminate Peng Dehuai's influence. Mao Zedong
said: "If you deal with things, you must also deal with people." Peng
Dehuai has been criticized enough, thoroughly, and badly. It is wrong to say
that he organized and commanded the "Hundred Regiments War" during
the War of Resistance Against Japan, and it is against the Central Committee.
It is said that he disrespected Kim Il Sung in North Korea, just like Lao Tzu
to his son, engaging in great power chauvinism. Said that his original name was
Peng Dehua, and "Dehua" wanted to get "China", so he was an
ambitious, conspirator and so on. Almost nonsense!
After the Lushan
meeting, before going down the mountain, Peng Dehuai took the initiative to
talk to Mao Zedong many times with grief and guilt, and wanted to have a
heart-to-heart talk with him, but he was rejected all the time, and Mao Zedong
did not see him. It wasn't until I asked him to go to the "Big Third
Front" to become the commander-in-chief that I talked to him once and said
a few words of comfort. Boss Peng was very disappointed and sad.
It is said that Peng
Dehuai also had a bad temper and did not respect Mao Zedong. He never called
out the word "Chairman", but said "Old Mao" and closed
"Old Mao". At the Lushan Conference, he also resisted. He said,
"You scolded my mother for 50 days, but I can't do it for 20 days." I
don't know whose mother he scolded. Mao Zedong said that he and I only agree
about three to seven times, and disagree about 70% of the time.
In October 1959, just
after the National Day, Chairman Mao Zedong went south by car to inspect.
Contrary to the jubilant scene in Tiananmen Square, what he saw along the way
was depression. When the train arrived in Shandong Province, what caught Mao
Zedong's eyes was not the "New Paradise" but the "Picture of
Suffering". It was night when the car arrived in Hefei, and the whole city
was dark, with no lights or laughter. Mao Zedong stared at the dark city,
smoking endlessly. After he returned to Beijing, he announced to the staff
around him that he would not eat meat or eggs, and would not exceed the grain
ration.
In December 1959,
several Zhongnanhai guards who went home to visit their relatives returned to
Chairman Mao Zedong. They brought back the rotten bran vegetable steamed buns
eaten by farmers, and Chairman Mao once again burst into tears. He still
refused to eat meat and eggs, insisted that the food should not exceed the
ration, and resolutely refused to let the children eat Xiaozao with him.
Children are not allowed to use the official car when they go out to take the
bus. The same is true for other leaders of the Party Central Committee, Shaoqi,
Prime Minister, Boss Zhu, Chen Yun, and Xiaoping. It is said that Zhongnanhai
is also engaged in production, and the guards are all experts. He hopes that
Chairman Mao can eat his favorite braised pork sooner.
The best thing is that
after time has passed, your cherished old people, old things and even old
feelings are still there; something that can last must have weight, and it must
stand the repeated washing and washing of time. Going around in a turbulent
life, those few people are always by my side, and those original thoughts are
buried in my heart, which is a rare blessing. On the way to visit old
comrade-in-arms Chai Jianhua together, He Jiafu told his grandson Nan Shanyun
what Han Suo told him about the anti-revisionist and anti-revisionist.
Han Suo once said to He
Jiafu: In 1959, the total agricultural output value of the country fell by 13.6%
compared with the previous year, and the actual grain output was only 340
billion catties, a decrease of 60 billion catties from the previous year. The
national annual average consumption level dropped from 83 yuan in the previous
year to 63 yuan, a drop of 20%. By the end of 1959, reality had shown a
"yellow card" to people, and the national economy had fallen into
serious difficulties. Difficulties have brought "challenges" to
Chairman Mao Zedong and the entire party and people, and this
"challenge" comes from home and abroad. The country is an
"offensive" of "right opportunism". Abroad, some countries
in the West and Eastern Europe criticized and attacked the "Great Leap
Forward" and the People's Commune. Especially the accusations and
criticisms from the Soviet Union.
Han Suo also said: As we
all know, after the 20th National Congress of the CPSU, the Chinese and Soviet
parties had serious ideological differences on issues such as evaluating Stalin
and the International Communist Movement. The Communist Party of China
published many articles such as "On the Historical Experience of the
Dictatorship of the Proletariat" and "Re-discussion on the Historical
Experience of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat". To give a correct
evaluation of Stalin's merits and demerits, the Communist Party of the Soviet
Union has made positive contributions to the Soviet Union in the international
communist movement, to the socialist camp, and to the proletarians of the world
seeking their own liberation. Stalin deserves credit. The Chinese Communist
Party believes that Khrushchev's secret report at the 20th Congress of the
Communist Party of the Soviet Union made a brave breakthrough in eliminating
Stalin's personality cult, and has positive significance for the Communist Party
of the Soviet Union and the world communist movement. The Chinese Communist
Party affirmed Khrushchev's choice in criticizing Stalin's cult of personality.
However, the Chinese Communist Party disagreed with Khrushchev's total negation
of Stalin.
In fact, the ideological
differences between the two parties in China and the Soviet Union began as
early as 1956. Thinking of the Soviet Union, Mao Zedong felt very unhappy. He
believes that since Stalin, the Soviet Party has made the mistake of "the
old son's party against the son's party" against the Chinese party. Lao
Mao was not born with this kind of thing, and he didn't buy into the chauvinism
of the Soviet Union at all. Lao Mao is not afraid of pressure, not afraid of
challenges. When he was a teenager, he "inspired writing, the middle
current hits the water, the waves suppressed the flying boat, and the dung and
dirt were thousands of households back then". During the Long March,
"the Red Army is not afraid of the difficulties of the expedition, and the
thousands of rivers and mountains are just waiting for nothing." In the
predicament of "the sound of horseshoes breaking and the sound of horns
choking", we insisted that "the road of Xiongguan is as long as iron,
and now we are going to start from the beginning." In the stormy battle
against Japanese militarism, the majestic, earth-shattering, shocking world.
"With the past, count the romantic figures and look at the present."
During the difficult
period of building socialism, Lao Mao called on the whole party, the army and
the people of the whole country to "unite the army and the people as one,
let's see who is the enemy in the world", and called on "the whole
army and the people to stand on their own feet." Encourage the people to "be
born a fairy cave, with infinite scenery on the dangerous peak". He
denounced the anti-China arrogance in the world as "a few flies hit the
wall in the small world, buzzing, screaming, and sobbing." He raised his
arms and shouted, "Only heroes drive tigers and leopards away, and no
heroes are afraid of bears." "The cold current is rolling high in the
sky, and the warm wind is blowing slightly on the earth." "ten
thousand years is too long, fight for now". In the end, the old man was
even more motivated. He was full of confidence and was bound to win. "Wind
and thunder stimulate, flying and singing dysprosium, all invincible."
In June 1959, the Soviet
Union unilaterally tore up the agreement on new national defense technologies
signed by China and the Soviet Union and refused to provide China with
technical assistance in the nuclear industry. On July 16, the Soviet government
did not negotiate with the Chinese government, and suddenly unilaterally
withdrew all 1,390 experts in China within a month, tore up 343 expert
contracts, and abolished 257 scientific and technological cooperation projects.
On July 21, 1959, which
was the seventh day after Peng Dehuai wrote to Mao Zedong, Pravda published
Khrushchev’s speech on July 18 at the Polagov Production Cooperative in Poznan,
Poland. He said: "The transformation of an individual economy into a
collective economy is a complicated process. We have encountered many
difficulties on this road. Immediately after the Civil War, what we began to
build was not an agricultural labor association, but a Commune. Someone once
made a general conclusion like this, 'Since we are fighting for communism, let
us build a commune'. It seems that many people at that time did not quite
understand what communism was and how to build communism." . Khrushchev added:
"The commune was established, although there were neither material
conditions nor political conditions at that time-I mean the consciousness of
the peasants. Less labor. As the saying goes: 'do as much as you can, take as
much as you need'. Many of these communes have achieved little."
Sensitive Western
journalists immediately realized that this was Khrushchev's "anti-China
message", and quickly spread it to the world to create anti-China public
opinion. Not only that, Khrushchev expressed dissatisfaction with the
Sino-Indian border conflict and the shelling of Quemoy and Matsu, accusing
China of making mistakes on the Tibet issue. Demand that China renounce the use
of force against Taiwan.
Beginning in November
1959, the Soviet Union published hundreds of articles criticizing China's
domestic and foreign policies. More than 40 Communist Workers' Parties followed
suit, accusing the Chinese Communist Party.
Although Han Suo has
opinions on Lao Mao, he is still a pink. He said: The disaster brought to the
Chinese people by the "three red flags" is tragic, but Khrushchev and
the Soviet Union took advantage of the danger, betrayed their trust, fueled the
flames, and added fuel to the fire. Sprinkle salt on the painful sores of the
Chinese people. The Chinese people will never forget this tragic pain. After
the Soviet experts of the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge withdrew, three old
bridge piers designed by the Soviet experts were left behind, which are still
soaked in the Yangtze River water, as the eternal memory of the Chinese people.
As early as 1969, the Yangtze River Bridge designed and built by our country
"one bridge flies north and south, and the natural moat becomes a
thoroughfare". Khrushchev, the vicious polar bear, and the Huns and Turks from
the north, they have been going south to invade China's territory since the
Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Killing and arson to
plunder property, people and livestock have been going on for thousands of
years. Qin Shihuang, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Emperor Taizong of Tang
Dynasty and Emperor Kangxi launched many large-scale anti-aggression wars.
Heroes such as Meng Tian, Wei Qing, Huo Qubing and Li Guang emerged to frighten
the enemy. "In the Qin Dynasty, the moon was bright and the Han Dynasty
was at the pass. The people who marched for thousands of miles had not yet
returned, but the flying generals of the dragon city were here, and they were
not called Humadu Yinshan." The "flying general" of the
Communist Party of China will never teach Huma Du Yinshan again!
He Jiafu said with a wry
smile to his grandson Nan Shanyun: "Can I fully agree with Han Suo's point
of view? I am definitely not pink."
He Jiafu said to Nan
Shanyun again: "We are ordinary people, it is impossible for us to know
the truth of history, even if we know something, we can't talk nonsense."
He Jiafu said:
"Although I don't care about politics, I still hear some friends talk
about those things. Chai Jianhua knows far more than me, and I just listen to
it."
