Wake up(92)

92

He Jiafu and his grandson Nanshanyun went to visit old comrade Chai Jianhua together, and met Li Daode on the way. When they were about to arrive in Gaoling Town, He Jiafu and Nanshanyun broke up with Li Daode.

Nan Shanyun said to He Jiafu: "Grandpa, this Li Dao said a lot about political movements along the way. I was very surprised to hear that why so many things happened in China, but these discussions were not seen in newspapers and magazines. Why did you go along the way?" Without saying a word?"

He Jiafu hesitated for a moment: "The things Li Dao said did exist, but some people are destined to play insignificant roles in the lives of others, and no matter how hard they try, they can't surpass them. The dreams they pursue are always in vain. What happened. The more you give, the more you lose. The long years are peaceful, and nothing is wasted..."

Li Daodao believes: "Dream", believe in the power of the heart, and follow the twilight to pursue the long-standing desire. Singing softly, with fiery eyes facing the oncoming pain, in the long river of gurgling time, I have no regrets just because I have tried my best to chase after it.

He Jiafu looked at his grandson Nanshan Yun, and said: "Li Dao said that not many young people would know that such things happened in China. This is true. Why didn't I tell you these things? Because these are very hurtful. It's a heartfelt thing. I just hope you live in happiness, what's the point of entanglement in the pain of the past."

He Jiafu pointed to the rest pavilion not far away, and said to Nanshan Yun: "Let's take a rest in this small pavilion."

Nan Shanyun helped He Jiafu to the rest pavilion. After He Jiafu sat down on the chair in the gazebo, he looked around the surrounding environment and said to Nan Shanyun: "I have spent almost all my life wandering. When I was young, I was a poor child. The strong men were taken away. I was angry and annoyed at the time. But soon I accepted the brainwashing education of the Kuomintang, let us serve as soldiers to resist the Japanese invaders, this is for the country, but also for myself and my family. When the country is in danger At present, a good man should take on the responsibility of defending the country. I participated in the face-to-face fight with the Japanese devils, I killed the Japanese soldiers, and my legs were blown up by the Japanese. I am not a coward, I am for the country and the people , I sacrificed my own leg and my youth, I am worthy of this country."

He Jiafu beat the concrete floor with his crutches in the pavilion. He also said: "Civil war broke out. You and I, Uncle Chai Jianhua, did not want the Chinese to fight the Chinese. We became deserters of the national army. When the new China was established, we were both excited and happy. But the subsequent suppression of counter-revolutionaries The movement and the famine frightened us. The Communist Party wants to investigate the secret agents left behind by the Kuomintang on the mainland. You, Uncle Chai Jianhua, and I have become the remnants of the Kuomintang, struggling to survive every day in fear. Wandering, wandering, this is the only way we can The choice to live on."

Nan Shanyun said again: "I am poor and disabled. I have not been able to get married and have children. But I believe that good intentions will be rewarded. I adopted your adoptive mother, He Zhonglan, and you, Nanyangsheng and Nanliwa with her. Poor child. I finally have a family and you are with me. You make me no longer alone, and let me fulfill my duty.”

Nanshan Yun's eye sockets were moist, but he didn't let his tears flow down.

He Jiafu said to Nanshan: "Yunshan, you have grown up, there are some things I should tell you. I am old, and the rest of my life will be gone. I should tell you some things about the past. Remember the past and live well in the present."

He Jiafu told Nanshan Yun: "I don't completely agree with what Li Dao said. Everyone's experience is different, so they have different views on society and life. I once knew a man named Han Suo, who was enthusiastic and active. He signed up to join the Volunteer Army, but he became a prisoner of the Yankees shortly after he went to the battlefield. After returning to China, he was stared at by people and depressed all his life. He told me about the events of the Korean War, which was obviously different from what Li Dao said. Of course, I do not object to what Mr. Li Dao said."

He Jiafu began to tell Nan Shanyun about Han Suo's memories of the Korean War:

Han Suo joined the Volunteer Army with enthusiasm, that is, in 1952, the "Three Antis and Five Antis" movement began amidst the rumble of guns to resist US aggression and aid Korea. Han Suo's father was a company-level cadre in a subordinate unit of the Logistics Department of the East China Military Command. Han Suo's father told him that the temperature at the beginning of the "Three Antis and Five Antis" movement was not high, only 80 degrees, and it was basically mild wind and light rain. One day, the "People's Front" newspaper published Commander Chen Yi's report to Chairman Mao Zedong, as well as Chairman Mao's instructions. Commander Chen said: "The mountains are high, the forests are dense, and there are many tigers." Chairman Mao criticized: "Fight tigers, clean up corruption"! "People's Daily" published that Zhang Qingshan, secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, and Liu Zishan, mayor of Tianjin, were sentenced to death for corruption and bribery.

Han Suo's father said that in 1953 the Korean War was fought while talking, and the domestic suppression of bandits was still going on. The Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission attach great importance to the regularization and modernization of the People's Liberation Army. The army must change from "millet plus rifles" to "planes and cannons". Logistics construction was brought up on the agenda. During the War of Liberation, the method of taking weapons, ammunition and other military supplies from the enemy during the War of Liberation has come to an end. The "captain of Chiang Kai-shek's transport brigade" was "laid off" and he went to Taiwan to "re-employ". went. Our army must build its own modern logistics support system. Without modern logistics, there will be no modern warfare.

In 1954, the whole army followed the example of the Soviet army. The East China Military Region Headquarters, the Political Department, and the Logistics Department all have Soviet Army Advisory Groups. They come and go to and from get off work on time, and they are equipped with interpreters when they come and go.

At that time Chairman Mao called on us to "leave to one side". He said, we learn from the Soviet Union and copy everything. "Leaning to one side" becomes metaphysics if you study it too far, and it does a lot of damage. Chairman Mao Zedong got angry, and in the late 1950s, he decided to criticize dogmatism in the military. The representative named Xiao Ke, who was the Deputy Minister of Defense at the time. There were still people behind Xiao Ke, Liu Shuai was criticized, but the names were not publicly called. After criticizing dogmatism, Marshal Liu Bocheng rarely showed up. After criticizing dogmatism, the situation has changed a lot. The traditions of our army have been carried forward, and the practice of copying the Soviet army mechanically has been curbed. In the mid-1960s, the ideological differences between the two parties in China and the Soviet Union developed to the deterioration of state relations. The "one-sided" study of the Soviet Union's Big Brother is not mentioned. Chairman Mao of the Party Central Committee issued a call for "self-reliance and self-improvement".

The smoke of the Korean War was extinguished, and the volunteers returned home one after another. However, Han Suo's father was not happy when he saw his son returned to the country. Because Han Suo was a prisoner of the Yankees and returned to China after exchanging with American prisoners. What the Chinese respect is that they would rather die than submit. The son did not make any meritorious service in the Korean War.

After the Korean War ended, the Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission attached great importance to the modernization and regularization of the People's Liberation Army. Chairman Mao Zedong issued a call to build a strong national defense force to defend the motherland and peace. Our army is about to stop the supply system and implement a military rank system and a salary system. Large-scale reorganization work, review of cadre work, officer education and training work, and full-scale training of troops will soon be fully launched. The construction of various services and arms is carried out at the same time, and our People's Liberation Army is facing a historic stage of major changes, major construction and major adjustments. After the policy and line are determined, it is the cadres who play the decisive role. The policy of reviewing cadres is based on the theory of components and not only the theory of components, and the emphasis is on performance. The composition is important to the person, and the history depends on the performance. The policy of "suppressing counter-revolutionaries" is that all counter-revolutionaries must be suppressed and mistakes must be corrected. If one is not killed, most are not captured. Evidence must be emphasized, and coerced confessions are prohibited. Confessions are lenient, resistance is strict, the culprit must be dealt with, the threat is not punished, and meritorious deeds are rewarded.

Because Han Suo was a prisoner of the Yankees, it actually affected his father's political career. Han Suo's father received a cold reception when he examined the cadres. After the anti-revolutionary movement ended in 1955, although there was no political impact, it was no longer reused by default.

In 1955, the People's Liberation Army implemented a military rank system and a salary system. The Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission have formulated a meticulous policy for awarding titles. Chairman Mao Zedong once said, "A man does not cry when he has tears, but it is not time for the awarding of titles."

Between August and September 1955, the troops carried out intense and regularized military training to welcome the awarding of ranks. People's Liberation Army officers who wear big hats, military rank badges on their shoulders, armed belts around their waists, and big leather shoes can no longer engage in guerrilla habits! The new "Internal Affairs Regulations" and "Queuing Regulations" set a series of regulations on the behavior and attire of soldiers. When walking, two people form a team, and three people form a trip. Move your legs and wave your hands to obey the rules. When you see your superiors, you have to salute, you have to report when you speak, and you have to give up your seat in a car. Many old Red Army, old Eighth Route, and old revolutionaries have encountered "new problems" and can no longer "wear new shoes and walk the old road". Disheveled clothes, hats crooked, and sloppy looks must be thoroughly eliminated. When conferring titles, many comrades were postponed. The main reason was that some problems in the "elimination of counter-revolutionaries" were not cleared up. What made Han Suo's father feel extremely disappointed was that he was also included in the list of deferred military ranks. In fact, he lost his rank for a lifetime.

In 1956, the socialist transformation of industry and commerce was basically completed. At that time, most of the topics that officers talked about were clothing, food, housing, and transportation. Serge, gabardine, and melton are required for plain clothes in winter, and varnitine and silk satin are required in summer. To watch Beijing opera, you have to watch "Jade Hall Spring", "Dragon and Phoenix Showing Prosperity" and "Borrowing the East Wind" and so on. Mei Lanfang and Ma Lianliang also appeared at the Great Hall of the People in Nanjing from time to time. Some battalion and regiment cadres seldom participate in these activities, and they have other "tasks". What "task"? They are busy "divorcing their wives" and striving to become Chen Shimei. They want to "destroy the old and establish the new".

But at this time, Han Suo and his son could no longer hold their heads up.

In Han Suo's memory, his father was amiable, simple and generous, and deeply loved by his comrades. His father gave him infinite love, and he was like a lamp, illuminating his future. Father and son forged a deep relationship.

But all this was in the past tense, and my father started drinking and cursing.

After my father was drunk, he once said that on the eve of the national liberation, the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee of the Party sent a wake-up call to the whole party. Chairman Mao said in "Entering Beijing to Catch the Exam" that the enemy cannot defeat us, and we should prevent ourselves from defeating ourselves!

In order to establish the idea that the People's Liberation Army will always be a combat team and work team, keep the troops on standby and prevent separation from the masses. In 1956, Chairman Mao Zedong entrusted He Long, Ye Jianying, Nie Rongzhen, and Xu Qianqian, the vice-chairmen of the Central Military Commission, to inspect the troops in various regions. After the inspection, the four old commanders reported to Chairman Mao that there were "five excesses" in the army from the military region organs to the regiment organs. The "five excesses" are more meetings, more documents, more forms, more telegrams and telephone calls, and more halls and halls. Lack of face-to-face leadership, lack of on-site office, serious extravagance and waste. When encountering problems, push each other and play football with each other. The idea of serving the army and serving the grassroots has not been seriously established.

These "five more" pressed down layer by layer, eventually causing all the small rivers to return to the sea, and the company was overwhelmed. No matter which job a company is famous for, it will invite a "disaster".

For example, if the shooting is sharp, the military training department will come to ask for materials, take photos, conduct interviews, and make reports. Documents, phone calls, telegrams, and meetings continued. The company leader should accompany the "Miss" to study and accompany the "Master" to dance swords. And dare not neglect. Also add a scrambled egg to each meal. Others such as: cultural and sports activities, canteen meals, labor production, advanced learning, etc., all those who stand out must be "sanctioned in three sessions."

Company commanders and instructors are busy all day long with the welcome and dispatch brought by the "five more", and there is still energy and time to consider and solve the actual problems of the company. It seriously affected company building.

Han Suo's father told him that the combat effectiveness of our army is formed in the company. The construction of the company's party branch, political and ideological education, various training work, construction, etc., all need the company's grassroots cadres to take care of it. The impact of "more than five" destroyed the basic construction of the company. Chairman Mao proposed to overthrow bureaucracy, overthrow officials and masters, and eliminate cumbersome philosophy.

Han Suo's father was very annoyed when he said this. He said that the General Political Department requires leading agencies at all levels to establish the idea of being responsible to both the superior and the subordinate. It also stipulates that government officials should spend 3/2 of their time in the army at the grassroots level every year. In the autumn of 1956, the Party Committee of the Nanjing Military Region held an enlarged meeting and working conference of 800 members of the Party Committee to comprehensively examine bureaucracy, formalism, and cumbersome philosophy. As a result, I became the object of admonishment. I have always conscientiously implemented Chairman Mao Zedong's call. How could I become a negative example of the "more than five"?

Han Suo was very guilty, always feeling that it was his disappointment that hurt his father's future.
