When Chai Jianhua was
joking with two young people, Fangfei and Nanshanyun, Hu Zhijia and He Jiafu
were talking about the Wuhan coronavirus epidemic and its prevention and
control.
Hu Zhijia's husband is a
reporter from Wuhan News, so he can get some relevant information.
Hu Zhijia told He Jiafu:
On January 7, 2020,
after the release of important experimental evidence to identify the "true
culprit" of the new coronavirus, the number of outpatients in the fever
clinic of Wuhan Tongji Hospital increased from an average of 40 to 50 per day,
and the peak suddenly increased to over 1,000. On January 7, when General
Secretary Xi Jinping presided over a meeting of the Standing Committee of the
Political Bureau of the Central Committee, he put forward requirements for the
prevention and control of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.
On January 8, the second
group of experts from the National Health and Medical Commission arrived in
Wuhan, and revised and improved the methods of diagnosis and treatment,
monitoring, epidemiological investigation and disposal, sampling and testing of
new coronary pneumonia. On January 13, the World Health Organization issued a
statement saying that it had received a report of a Chinese traveler confirmed
to be infected with the new coronavirus in Thailand. This means that the
existing social control measures in Wuhan are no longer able to prevent the
spread of the epidemic.
On January 18,
84-year-old Academician Zhong Nanshan boarded the train bound for Wuhan from
Guangzhou. Zhong Nanshan is the leader of the National High-level Expert Group
on Medical and Prevention and Control. The other members are 6 academicians
including Li Lanjuan, the leader of the National Key Discipline of Infectious
Diseases. On January 19, after attending the epidemic seminar in the morning,
the high-level expert group immediately went to Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital and
Wuhan CDC for field investigation. There was no time to rest at noon, and the
meeting lasted until 5 o'clock in the afternoon, and then boarded the flight to
Beijing. Arriving in Beijing, the group immediately rushed to the National
Health Commission for a meeting.
After obtaining
first-hand investigation data in Wuhan, the members of the expert team became
more and more convinced that the novel coronavirus was transmitted from person
to person.
In the early morning of
January 20, six high-level experts walked into Zhongnanhai, directly faced the
decision-making level, and reported their analysis opinions on the epidemic.
The executive meeting of the State Council that day also added an agenda for
the deployment of epidemic prevention and control. Zhong Nanshan and Li Lanjuan
were invited to attend and put forward specific suggestions on epidemic
prevention and control and treatment. Members of the expert group appealed:
people from Wuhan should not go out, and people from other places should not
come in.
This is a turning point
in the fundamental changes in the war against the "epidemic"——
On January 20, Xi
Jinping made important instructions on the pneumonia epidemic caused by the new
coronavirus, emphasizing that people's life safety and health should be put
first, and resolutely curb the spread of the epidemic.
In the afternoon of the
same day, the National Health and Medical Commission organized a high-level
expert group to hold a press conference. The leader of the group, Zhong
Nanshan, looked solemn: "It can be said now, for sure, that there is a
phenomenon of human-to-human transmission."
During the Spring
Festival, people flow intensively on a large scale. Wuhan, just at the hub of
the Spring Festival travel, is the thoroughfare of nine provinces and the place
where people gather and disperse.
On January 20, the
National Health and Medical Commission issued an announcement to include
COVID-19 as a Class B infectious disease stipulated in the Law on the
Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases and implement Class A management.
Led by the National Health and Medical Commission, a joint prevention and
control working mechanism including more than 30 departments was established.
The severity of the new
crown pneumonia epidemic has exceeded everyone's expectations. The ICU of
Jinyintan Hospital is full of critically ill patients with respiratory failure.
Due to the surge in patients and the shortage of test kits, many suspected
patients cannot be tested. The hospital couldn't make a diagnosis, and they
were afraid of infecting their family members when they went home. They were
running around and suffering, and they became a huge mobile source of
infection.
Hubei and Wuhan, which
are at the center of the storm, have begun to enter a "wartime"
state——
On January 22, Hubei
Province launched a Level II emergency response to major public health
emergencies, which was upgraded to Level I two days later.
On January 23, Wuhan
implemented the decision and deployment of the Party Central Committee and
closed the Li-Han channel.
This is a difficult and
important decision. It coincides with the Chinese Spring Festival travel, the
largest human population migration, and the "closure" of a modern
metropolis with a population of over 10 million, the decision-makers are facing
unprecedented pressure.
Xi Jinping said:
"Making this decision requires great political courage, but it must be
acted when it is time to act, otherwise it will continue and be
disrupted."
Caught off guard, a
China with a population of 1.4 billion is facing a new war between humans and
the virus world. Starting from January 23, 30 provinces, autonomous regions and
municipalities have successively launched the "Level I Response to Major
Public Health Emergencies", formulated and implemented community
prevention and control measures, and implemented grid-based and carpet-style
management; extended the Spring Festival holiday in 2020, college Schools,
primary and secondary schools have postponed the start of school, and the two
sessions of the country have been postponed... All localities have adopted
measures of "foreign prevention of importation and internal prevention of
proliferation", and the most comprehensive, strictest and most thorough
national epidemic prevention and control has officially launched. China adopted
the largest quarantine law in history, and the "mobile China"
decisively pressed the "pause button".
"The epidemic is the
devil, and we cannot let the devil hide." On January 28, President Xi
Jinping said when meeting with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
in Beijing.
Chinese official media
claimed that by March 20, local cases had gradually disappeared, and the
cumulative number of confirmed cases reported in China had risen from more than
800 to more than 80,000 in 57 days, effectively delaying the spread of the
virus.
Faced with China's
unprecedented prevention and control measures, the world is highly concerned.
Reuters and The Times believe that the closure of the Lihan passage is the
first attempt in the history of modern medicine. However, some media quoted
experts as saying that there is no evidence to show the effectiveness of the
"closed city", and the isolation may cause panic and exacerbate the
strain on medical resources.
Hu Zhijia said:
"The national and provincial public health measures implemented by China
are so fast and large-scale that they are rarely seen in the world."
He Jiafu asked:
"Can these measures effectively curb the spread of the virus?"
At this time, Chai
Jianhua said with a smile: "Only time will tell."
Group psychological exploration novel (Shenyang)
回复删除Today is like a crow gathering, and tomorrow will disappear like a beast. This is the case for hooligans, politicians, and ignorance people. Today, you can mix together, and will run counter to the benefit tomorrow. I explore the novels of group psychology, hoping that more people in the world can wake up from nightmares.
