In 1957, Xiang
dissatisfied with his hard work in the first few years after graduating from
college and working, became the department head of the North China Geological
Exploration Team directly under the central government when he was only 22 or 3
years old. At the beginning of the year, he participated in the enlarged
meeting of the party committee of the brigade, and heard Mao Zedong's
"Speech at the Supreme State Council" report on February 27, the
central content of which was "on the correct handling of contradictions
among the people." He said: These basic contents are still fresh in my
memory.
Encouraged by this
spirit, Xiang dissatisfied with his political studies for the next two months
mobilized more than 110 staff members of his unit to put forward various
opinions to the leaders according to the arrangement of his superiors to help
the party organization carry out the rectification movement.
At that time, among the
large geological team consisting of thousands of people, the department chaired
by Xiang dissatisfaction raised the most and sharpest opinions, especially
those young intellectuals who were the most active. In the process of
organizing the seminar, Xiang dissatisfied took the initiative to speak frankly
and boldly, and also played a certain leading role.
Just as the
dissatisfaction was explained to the unit that the rectification of the party
group and the suggestion to the party were at their climax, the trend of
opposing bureaucracy and personality superstition was also quite prevalent in
society, and some college students in Beijing went to Shanghai and other places
to organize and promote activities. Unexpectedly, in late May, the
"People's Daily" began to highlight and publish certain "extreme
remarks" dissatisfied with the party during the Mingfang movement. Some
people expressed their opposition to these remarks, and some people believed
that "there is no need to make a fuss, and everyone expresses their own
opinions, and there is nothing serious about it."
On June 8, 1957, "People's Daily"
published an editorial entitled "Why?" When studying politics,
everyone was surprised and seemed a little nervous when they heard and read
this editorial. Within a few days, the secretary of the party committee
publicly conveyed Chairman Mao's report "On Correctly Handling
Contradictions Among the People" at the meeting. Among them, many of the
formulations are quite different from the content and spirit conveyed at the
mid-March meeting of cadres above the middle level of party members.
Conspiracy" and the like. Obviously, the June 8 editorial in People's
Daily was an order issued by the central government to party organizations at
all levels to "organize forces and counter the rampant attacks of
rightists."
Since then, the anti-rightist movement
officially began. Fortunately, Xiang was dissatisfied with the restructuring of
his unit, so he no longer held an administrative position, but was changed to
be the technical director of the provincial geological team. The party
secretary and superior leaders were tolerant of him, and he was not designated
as a "rightist."
However, several
relatives and friends who were dissatisfied with him and had similar
personalities have all become "rightists".
One is a fellow
countryman, classmate and friend, a high-achieving student in elementary and
middle school. On the eve of the founding of New China, he participated in the
activities led by the underground party, and then went to work in Xiangxi with
the army. Minority cadres with different opinions offended the secretary of the
party committee of their unit. Instead, they were slandered as provoking ethnic
relations. Based on this, they were designated as "rightists" and put
into farm labor reform. In the early 1960s, due to hunger, fatigue, The other
was a relative who was dissatisfied with Xiang. After graduating from
university in 1956, he voluntarily asked to go to the Xinjiang branch, and soon
became a member of the Youth League branch of a department in a university in
Urumqi. At that time, he raised two opinions, one was "Marxism-Leninism
should be done in light of China's own characteristics", and the other was
"Some viewpoints of Zhang Bojun and Luo Longji can be used for reference
if they are objectively valuable". There is also an "extreme
rightist" who supports the "Zhang and Luo alliance"; there is
also a graduate of a famous domestic university in 1949 who is dissatisfied
with the unit's subordinates. "Blacklist", but immediately after the
founding of New China, it was confessed to the CCP organization that the
anti-revolutionary movement in 1955 was verified to be true. From the very beginning,
he was designated as a "rightist" by default.
Chai Jianhua and He
Jiafu looked at the down-and-out Xiang dissatisfied in front of them, and could
only persuade them.
Chai Jianhua said to
Xiang dissatisfaction: For history, personal destiny may be hidden in a small
decimal point, but for individuals, it is a 100% life. There are only two
things crowds can do—adding to the cake or making it worse. You should rethink
the distinction between individuals and groups.
He Jiafu sighed and
said: Ordinary people have never really longed for the truth, because they
don't know what the truth is. They will only receive brainwashing education,
convinced that their poverty comes from the exploitation and oppression of the
rich, and in the face of class struggle, anyone who can provide them with
illusions can easily become their master. Whatever disillusioned them became
their victim. Dissatisfaction can only be kept in my heart. In the face of
power,
It is difficult for the
weak to find their own home. We are all lost losers, but I believe we always
have the illusion that our feelings come from within ourselves. As long as our
hearts are pure, I believe God will give a fair statement.
Where there is life,
there will be memories. You can't resist it, and there's nowhere to escape it.
You are a person in the world, and memories are your shadow. What is worth
remembering is always unforgettable, especially the pain in the past. No one
will easily forget those bitterness, sadness, and helplessness.
What you can relax and
savor quietly in life will definitely not be your own banknotes with the heads
of leaders printed on them, but often wisps of wispy memories like wisps of
green smoke. There is no pain more painful than remembering the past in misery.
If one day this society betrays you, at least there are people who betray this
society with you. Don’t frown when you are sad and wronged, because you should
know that society is made up of groups, and individual misfortunes are often
group misfortunes. When misfortune always befalls a group, the group will never
be silent forever. Once the roar of the group breaks out, the society will be
shaken and turned upside down. There is no need to shed tears and sing sadly
for the past.
