Liberate yourself Chapter 29

1

The national campaign to eradicate mice, sparrows, flies, and mosquitoes that occurred when we were young was actually not perfect, because in our lives, apart from mice, sparrows, flies, and mosquitoes, cockroaches and bed bugs are us. The enemies lurking around me, I don't know the leaders and experts who launched the "Four Pests" movement, why not include cockroaches and bed bugs in the pests?
In my childhood, all families had such troubles. Cockroaches always haunted the house. Although I was a kid, I did think of many ways. I also applied a lot of poison to kill cockroaches. Cockroaches But it is always inexhaustible and inexhaustible, there is a kind of helplessness that "wildfires are endless and spring breeze blows again."
Cockroaches are commonly known as oil-stealers and robbers. This vulgar guy, in science, has a gentle and feminine name, called cockroach, belonging to the class Insecta, Orthoptera, and cockroach. It has been living on the earth with taste for 300 million years, which is 100 times the history of human existence.
Fortunately, with the development of science today, scientists have finally found a "new weapon" to deal with cockroaches, which can completely and completely eliminate cockroaches. This is called "biological cockroach extermination". Maybe one day, the oil-stealing wife will cut off her son.
Cockroach is an insect that is used to seeking survival in the dark and damp cracks. The reason why it has survived and prospered after such a long time is that its secret lies in its amazing fertility, tenacious vitality and extremely strong Resilience.
Cockroaches can not only carry more than 40 viruses and pathogens such as Mycobacterium leprae, Yersinia pestis, Shigella, Hepatitis virus, and respiratory viruses, but also an important vector for parasitic diseases; this omnivorous insect can not only eat animals and plants And all kinds of decay, even books, soaps, wires, and clothing can be their food, and it also has the habit of eating, vomiting, and excreting. Its harm is great and the poison is wide. It is almost indescribable.

In order to eliminate cockroaches, I have to take care of hygiene. I clean the cockroaches in the stove, kitchen, drawer, etc. at home, and burn their sacs with boiling water or burn them with fire. This was a cockroach killing method often used in everyone's home at that time.
Adults say that as long as they do this repeatedly, they can reduce the density of cockroaches and reduce their harm. The solution is right, but it has pained me, and I have to do more of these chores.
I tried to use the trap method instead: I used a wooden box as a trap, with small holes on both sides of the wooden box, each equipped with a flood funnel made of cardboard. Put a little pasta like cockroaches in the wooden box, such as fresh baked bread, freshly steamed buns, etc., as a bait. Place the wooden box in a place where cockroaches are often active, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the next day. To those greedy cockroaches.
Another way is to kill with drugs. Use dichlorvos aerosol for fumigation. Before fumigation, be sure to close the doors and windows and seal the environment to obtain certain effects. There is also the use of 20% trichlorfon powder, which is scattered in places where cockroaches often move, and the killing effect is also good.
Sometimes the bait method is also used. 2% Trichlorfon or Dichlorvos will be used in a 1:3 ratio and mixed in crumbed buns and other foods. Sprinkled on cockroaches at the event site at night, you can also get a certain killing effect. To kill cockroaches with drugs, pay attention to the kitchen bowls, cutting boards, sinks, the roots of the four walls, and the indoor bookcases, cabinets, drawers, floor gaps, etc. When applying pesticides, special care should be taken to prevent contamination of food and cooking utensils, and to prevent poisoning.

Although cockroaches are annoying, they have not directly harassed the human body. The most disgusting thing is the bug.
Bed bugs, commonly known as stinky old deflated.
The indications of bed bug infestation include feces, bed blood stains, live bed bugs, etc. The suspicious habitats, such as palm sheds, bed frames, mirror lines, wall gaps, tables and chairs, sofas, etc., are inspected by needle picking combined with visual inspection. Signs of bed bug infestation can often be found, and the smell of bed bugs can also be smelled in places of serious infestation.
Environmental control is the most important way to eliminate bed bugs. The purpose of environmental prevention and control is to eradicate breeding conditions, that is, to rectify indoor hygiene, remove debris, and block bed, walls, palm sheds and other gaps that are prone to bed bugs. Use lime or putty to block the embedding. Wallpapers with bed bugs must be removed and burned .
Eliminating bed bugs is an important housework in my youth and a public welfare activity to protect the living environment of human beings.
Bed bugs are also called wood fleas, and belong to the insects of the Hemiptera (Cimicidae) family, with about 75 species. Bed bugs were also known as bed bugs and ticks in ancient my country. Bed bugs have a pair of smelly glands that can secrete an abnormal smelly liquid. This kind of smelly liquid has the functions of defending against natural enemies and promoting mating. Wherever the bugs crawl, they leave an unpleasant odor, so they are called bed bugs.
Bed bugs are parasites that suck human blood and feed on blood from animals such as chickens and rabbits. Bed bugs can spread a variety of diseases, such as relapsing fever, leprosy, plague, polio, tuberculosis, trypanosomiasis, oriental furuncle, kala-azar, and so on. There are a pair of half-moon-shaped odorous glands on the back of the bed bug's abdomen or the chest ventral face of the adult worm, which can secrete a substance with a special smell, making it notorious.
The body of the bed bug is flat and wide, 4 to 5 mm long (less than 0.2 inches), reddish-brown, the wings degenerate and scaly, there are smelly glands, and the secretion has a special smell. Females lay more than 200 eggs in each breeding season and breed three or more generations a year. Bed bugs generally live in groups, so a large number of bed bugs are often found in places suitable for hiding. Whether it is a nymph or a male or female adult, they come out day and night and crawl out secretly at night. With the piercing-sucking mouthparts, they suck blood, and the bed bug cannot hide after sucking blood. The blood sucking takes several days to digest. . Usually the most active period of bed bugs is at dawn, which is at the peak of sexual assault one hour before dawn.
When bugs cannot find human blood, bed bugs also suck blood from rabbits, mice and chickens. The bed bug sucks blood quickly, and it will be full in 5-10 minutes. After being bitten by a bedbug, it often causes itchy skin. Allergic people have obvious irritant reactions after being bitten. The wound often appears red and swollen, and itchy. If it is broken, it often causes bacterial infection.

When I was young, I knew that after mating bed bugs in hidden places, they laid their eggs in gaps such as walls and bed boards. Usually one to several eggs are laid each time, and the total number can reach 100-200. In winter, bed bugs usually stop sucking blood and laying eggs. Nymphs can live for more than 30 days if they don't get blood, and adults can live for six or seven months if they don't get blood. Some adults can tolerate hunger for more than a year.
I also know that bed bugs are afraid of light, so they are more active at night. The bug activity is very agile and alert. When blood sucking, if the human body moves a little, it stops blood sucking, crawls away and hides, the bug can crawl 1-1.25m per minute. Bed bugs like to live in groups, and can lie in a period of time with clothing and luggage. Bed bugs mainly inhabit the gaps of bed frames, four corners of tents, walls, ceilings, tables, chairs, bookshelves, quilt mattresses, straw mats, bed mats, etc. and lay wallpaper behind. There are many brown dung tracks in the habitat.
The sexual intercourse of bed bugs is called "traumatic insemination", which means that males do not take into account the feelings of females, and even cause physical harm to females. Males use their sword-like reproductive organs to pierce any part of the female body to achieve insemination. This type of mating is considered to be a form of males fighting females' resistance to mating.

In order to catch bed bugs, my mother and I had to constantly hit the bed frame, bed board, kang mat, grass mat, etc. with hard tools to shock and kill the bed bugs, or use needles and wires to pick out the bed bugs and kill them.
Another method is to use boiling water to scald. I carried a pot of boiling water and used boiling water to pour the eggs and adult insects together, and burn them all to death. Because bed bugs are not resistant to high temperatures.
I also often move bed frames, bed boards and other utensils with bed bugs to my downstairs alley with my mother. I use the mouth of a kettle with boiling water to align the gap, and slowly move the iron to make the gap reach high temperature to burn the bed bugs. And its eggs. Put the clothes with bugs in the basin, or soak them in boiling water.
For clothes that cannot be scalded in boiling water, the mother exposes them to strong sunlight for 1 to 4 hours and flips them, causing the bed bugs to be killed by sunburn or crawling out.
In order to prevent the spread of bed bugs, newly purchased old furniture and other items will be strictly inspected and treated to prevent the spread of bed bugs.
I remember that when I was a child, I used bugs such as 223, 666, trichlorfon and dichlorvos to control bed bugs. Dichlorvos and trichlorfon have short-lived effects, and because these organochlorine and organophosphorus pesticides tend to make palm sheds brittle and break, not only are the masses unwilling to accept, but also difficult to achieve the purpose of eliminating bed bugs, so these drugs are currently No longer used for bed bug control. However, for today's people, perhaps many people have never seen bed bugs.
