The fate of the unintentional person

The fate of the unintentional person

When Agudengba was chatting with Chu Sanxing, Xiao Siniang asked the two gentlemen, what should you do if you encounter an old man who owes you money? Chu Sanxing told a story about collecting debt from a rogue.

Xiao Siniang said: I don't have the ability to forcefully collect debts, but I believe in karma, and people with unfaithful intentions will not end well.

Xiao Siniang said: There is a dyeing shop in our small village in Myanmar. The dyeing master is from Yunnan. He has been a dyer in the shop for many years and his monthly salary is two strings of copper coins. At that time, wars in Myanmar continued, mutinies often occurred, soldiers looted, and there was no one on the ground to maintain order. Hooligans and thugs also took advantage of the situation to rob.

The dyeing master became greedy and thought it was an opportunity to make a fortune. He also went with the crowd to rob and stole twenty silver coins. Since he had no one close to him, he had to give the silver to his boss to keep for him.

At the end of a year later, the dyeing master quit his job. He thought in his mind, I have these twenty ingots of silver, totaling more than one thousand taels. I can go home and buy land, buy a house, marry a wife and have children, and I will be happy. Spend your old age.

This was a calculation in his own mind. As the saying goes, there is no limit to what people can do, but God does not bless evil people. This master, after making the calculation, settled the score with the boss. The boss calculated the account and gave the dyer ten strings of money. He said that you spent fourteen strings of four hundred money throughout the year. You should give you nine strings of six hundred money in change. I will give you ten strings of money.

The master said, please give me the twenty pieces of silver I saved, boss. When the boss heard this, he was furious and said, "Are you crazy? When will you give me money? Are you ripping me off? You are crazy because you have made money. In my store, you make twenty-four strings of money a year and make your own clothes." All your pocket expenses come from inside, and you have no relatives or friends in Burma. The twenty ingots of silver you got from Burmese people never use silver. If you say this again, I will sue you for blackmail.

When the master heard this, he had nothing to say. If he told the truth that he had stolen it, wouldn't it mean that his life was lost before he could make a fortune? This is really a dumb man eating coptis. His heart is bitter, he can't say anything in his mouth, and he has no choice but to endure the pain and say goodbye. When I returned home, my family was poor. The more I thought about it, the angrier and sadder I became. There was no work to do. I couldn't think about it for a moment and hung myself to death.

Xiao Siniang continued: Put this master aside, let me talk about the boss. Ever since he secretly cheated on the master's money, he has been happy in his heart. He got this much money without any effort, and his business is good again.

Three years later, the boss got up in the morning to go to the toilet. Because the toilet there was on a slightly secluded street or in a side alley, it was made of reed fence, with the door facing the pedestrian street, and a large tank underneath. There is a wooden board across the top, and people sitting on it can see the people walking on the street very clearly. All the country people who pass by here know it.

While the owner of the dyeing shop was going to the pit to defecate, because it was still dark, he suddenly saw a man walking past in a hurry. This man seemed to be the dyeing master he had resigned from. He thought he was looking at flowers. He was stunned, and then he picked up his clothes and chased after him, wanting to see what happened. The boss was chasing after him, and the master was running in front, and he actually ran into his shop.

The boss chased him into the store, which was not yet open. When he entered the store, he saw no one was there and asked other workers, had they seen anyone come in? No answer.

The boss is about to tell everyone what he saw when he went to the pit. Everyone thinks that the boss is dazzled because at this time, everyone does not know that the dyer has hanged himself.

While everyone was working, the proprietress of the back house gave birth to a son, which made everyone suspicious. The boss also knew that it must be the dyeing master who hanged himself to collect debts.

Besides, the little boss was very smart when he was four or five years old. The boss had to have this son when he was in his forties. The son was so smart that he liked him very much and loved him like his darling.

This little boss was able to gamble with others when he was eight or nine years old. He was really smart. When he was eleven or twelve years old, he didn't like studying and only loved gambling. At first he would gamble a little and then gamble a lot. If he had no money, he would steal. If he couldn't steal any money, he would steal cloth from the store. When he was 17 or 18 years old, he slept in flowers and willows, sucked white powder, and did everything, but the boss couldn't control it. The little boss beat his father and scolded his mother, and he did everything he could.

The landlady was so angry that she fell ill and died because of her son's bad health. She felt hurt, loved and hated him at the same time.

After the death of his wife, the boss also suffered from paralysis. The young boss was unscrupulous and did whatever he wanted. Within a few years, he completely sold out the store and later became a beggar, begging for small money from others.

Someone asked the little boss to be happy and asked, "Are you a dyer to collect debts?"

The little boss answered: Yes.

After several more years of this, the young boss finally became addicted to flour and died of cold and hunger. The boss couldn't live, and he crawled on the streets every day, begging from people, and eventually died of cold and exhaustion. This is the fate of unscrupulous people.

Xiao Siniang sang a song "The Unfaithful Man":

People's hearts are always separated from the belly,

Who doesn’t live for themselves?

For personal gain,

It is not surprising that it is harmful to nature.

Since ancient times, emperors have been bullies;

Conquer cities and seize territory to fight for power and position.

Traitors and warriors are all accomplices,

Help Jie to torture ghosts.

The rogue Zhanshan King,

Unconsciously greedy for money and rely on robbery.

Deceiving, abducting and taking lives,

Set up a trap to hunt for dirty money.

Calling himself the official of the parents of the common people,

Officials protect each other and bully the common people.

The yamen always opens with eight characters.

You can't get in without money.

There is always a time for karma and retribution,

Heaven and earth must be different.

With a normal heart,

Laughing at the hereditary court drama.

Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fableskes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s di masease.
