Pan Guangfu handed the material "Memories of
Stopping Fighting in Anhui" collected from Hefei to Chai Jianmin: Mr.
Chai, take a look at this material. You have been to Huainan. Here are the
events in Huainan during the Cultural Revolution. .
The author Liu Jiaju's recollection is very
detailed:
At the same time as the "August 8th"
incident in Hefei, the two major factions in Huainan, with hundreds of
thousands of troops, marched at Bagong Mountain, preparing to fight a
"Little Huaihai". The Battle of Feishui between Xie An and Fu Jian
was fought here.
When I arrived in Huainan, the fighting had
stopped, and the lush Bagong Mountain could not see "the grass and trees
are all soldiers", and the vast Huaihe River could not see the "blood
flowing and floating pestle". The green water and green mountains are
still here, but there is dead silence everywhere.
The headquarters of the 34th Division lived in
Dongshan Town, and I was received by Chief Li, Director of Zhizuo Office, and
Officer Zhang, who introduced me to the situation in Huainan.
Huainan Coal Mine has 10 mining areas, which are
distributed on a 150-square-kilometer alluvial plain of the Huaihe River. At
the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, 500,000 miners were divided into two
factions due to the seizure of power. Before the 34th Division arrived in
Huainan, the two factions were already at odds. There had been more than ten
battles, big and small. Just three days before I came to Huainan, the two
factions were concentrating on themselves. The entire force of the army dug
trenches and built fortifications on a section of more than ten kilometers from
Dongshan to Tianjiaan, preparing for a decisive battle of life and death.
Persuasion by division leaders did not work
anymore. Division commander Zhang Jilun gathered 4,000 commanders and fighters,
and personally led the team to the front of the positions where hundreds of
thousands of people were waiting to fight, forming a human wall. While shouting
slogans: "Stop fighting, negotiate peacefully!" This scene is very
deterrent, who dares to shoot and kill the PLA? Under our powerful peace
offensive, the two factions withdrew from the battlefield. This move was also
praised by the Central Cultural Revolution.
Section Chief Li praised the teacher's perseverance
and courage. He admired the armed forces of the two factions even more. The
organizational system is organized into squads, platoons, companies,
battalions, regiments... The combat members are workers, the backbone is
demobilized veterans, and the orders are unified. In unison, it really seems to
be fighting a "people's war".
He asked me to meet Zhang Jiaxiang, the leader of
the P faction. This man was originally the reconnaissance platoon leader of our
army during the Liberation War. He was demobilized and returned to Huainan to
open a big car shop. At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, he was the
first to stand up against the Municipal Party Committee. The Public Security Bureau
arrested him, released him, went to Beijing to appeal, and rushed across
Zhongnanhai. He used the banner of the Red Guards to gather hundreds of
thousands of horses, surrounded by four elite combat regiments, relying on the
countryside as a base, ready to attack Huainan at any time.
Director Zhang’s opinion of Zhang Jiaxiang is
completely different from that of the section chief. He said: “Zhang Jiaxiang
is full of gangster spirit. They beat, smash, rob, burn, prostitution, and
looting. bitter."
Section Chief Li notified the P faction by phone,
asking them to treat me safely, and then sent me to Changfeng County (Shuijia
Lake) in his work car, which is the railway crossing from Hefei in the south
and Bengbu in the east , The headquarters of the P faction is located in a
tractor factory on the outskirts of the county. The person who received me was
Chief of Staff Li of the P Faction Headquarters. He was very thin and had a
gunshot wound on his face. He was about 50 years old.
What surprised me was the interior layout, which
was almost exactly the same as the combat command post of one of our divisions:
there was a huge military map on the wall, and the red and blue paper strips
pasted on the map distinguished the military demarcation line of the two factions,
and the defense areas of both sides were also marked. There are numbers and
strength, and the markings are clear and detailed. There are five phones on one
side of the room leading to the outside world, and several girls on guard are
recording. In the sand table of seven or eight square meters in the center of
the room, the miniature land features and landforms are exquisite and lifelike.
The chief of staff asked me to sit down at the
conference table, and a man who looked like a staff officer came over to make
tea for me. The chief of staff reported his family name as Li. He was
originally from the Seventh Column of the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Military
Region. It was 1947. The 66th Division of Song Ruike of the Kuomintang stood
firm on Yangshan Mountain. The Sixth Column attacked for three days and
suffered 3,000 casualties. The chief of staff was the company commander at the
time, and half of the company was destroyed. He described it as stepping on
corpses all over the mountain to reach the sheep's head. The heads of dead
people on the ground are like watermelons growing in the ground, which will let
you step on them if you are not careful.
In 1954, he changed jobs and came to Huainan. He
sincerely said to me: "Yesterday I survived the cause of the party, and
today I will dedicate myself to Chairman Mao's revolutionary line." I
admire people who climbed from the battlefield. The inheritance of culture
allowed him to retain a loyal heart to Mao Zedong and a firm fighting spirit.
While talking, someone came to report:
"Commander Zhang is here!" Out of politeness, I followed Chief of
Staff Li to the hall and waited.
Looking around, there is a neatly paced team
running towards the gate of the factory. They are all in military uniform, with
automatic guns on their shoulders, and miners' caps that look like steel
helmets.
Zhang Jiaxiang appeared, striding over from the
ranks of guards, followed by a squad of female soldiers, each with Type 59
pistols on their waists, dressed in gray military uniforms, like a red
detachment of women.
Zhang Jiaxiang came to me, and the chief of staff
greeted me and introduced: "This is the head of Unit 6408. He is from
Hefei. Director Li Desheng sent him to visit you." A smile appeared on
Zhang Jiaxiang's majestic face. Only two fingers were exposed on his right
hand. His arrogance shocked me a bit, and I quickly returned to normal. I
stretched out my hand and shook his middle finger and index finger. He entered
the house without humility. After I was seated, Chief of Staff Li probably saw
that I was a little unhappy, so he hurriedly added Zhang Jiaxiang:
"Comrade Liu is a senior staff officer next to Director Li Desheng, and he
came to understand the situation of the two factions."
I need not argue that this false identity had a special
effect on the rebels. I immediately said: "I bring Commander Li Desheng's
greetings to Commander Zhang." I intentionally juxtaposed the titles of
the two disproportionate "commanders" to give each other a sense of
satisfaction.
Zhang Jiaxiang stood up slightly and said,
"Don't you dare, I wish Commander Li good health."
I began to introduce the situation in Hefei to stop
the fighting, and in a persuasive tone, I hope that the two major factions in
Huainan will lay down their weapons, follow the central government's
deployment, and make a great alliance. Zhang Jiaxiang did not answer me
directly. He talked about the ins and outs of the life-and-death struggle in
Huainan, saying that the P faction had suffered hundreds of casualties. Send
out of Huainan and across the Huaihe River.
I came here only to observe some interested people,
and did not bring official tasks to solve the faction. Facing this P-style
leader who is nostalgic for the battlefield, I just talked about it on the
spot.
I asked, "How will you implement the central
government's instruction to stop fighting?"
Zhang Jiaxiang said: "Comrade Jiang Qing
recently gave a speech, advocating civil attack and military defense. Jiang
Qing's words represent Chairman Mao. Now there is no distinction between
classes and unclear fronts. How can we unite?"
I said, "If you keep fighting like this, no
one will be able to eliminate anyone. What will be the consequences?"
Zhang Jiaxiang raised his voice and said:
"Didn't we fight the war for 22 years? Fighting Chiang Kai-shek inside and
Little Japan outside, the result is the victory of the revolutionaries. I ask
you to tell Director Li that the Huainan bombardment faction (G faction) If you
surrender, I will hand over my weapon." A murderous look flashed in his
red eyes.
I asked again: "You want to invade Huainan,
how many people are you going to dispatch?"
"Four regiments, one million people!"
I know that Zhang Jiaxiang is bragging about his
military strength, and it is meaningless for me to talk to him again. When I
was leaving, I joked, "There is Emperor Zhu in Fengyang, Anhui. If you are
like your fellow countrymen, China will belong to you."
"How can you say that?" He didn't
understand my teasing, but said humbly, "The world will always belong to
Chairman Mao, and I am his pawn."
Some commentators said that most of the military
cadres that the Communist Party can kill are from the homeless class, and Zhang
Jiaxiang is indeed this type. In the life-and-death struggle of the three-year
liberation war, he became the reconnaissance platoon leader, rebelled for half
a year, and became the commander-in-chief of a 100,000 rebel army. He was
desperate for his own best interests.
I stayed in Huainan for two days, visiting various
mines. The bombardment faction paid great attention to political influence, and
their banner was "Grasp the revolution, promote production, and obey the
arrangements of the troops", and thus won the favor of the officers and
soldiers of the 34th Division. I saw that the mechanical repair workshop on the
well, the power plant, the transportation of the underground roadway, and the
coal digging on the mine face were all in production, and the soldiers were on
duty, ensuring the production of 20,000 tons of coal per day.
On the third day, Staff Officer Liu came to Huainan
suddenly, and he was the real representative of Li Desheng. Li Desheng learned
of the new trend of the fighting in Huainan: Zhang Jiaxiang had mobilized his
troops and was about to attack Huainan. Zhang Jiaxiang led his troops to attack
Huainan last year and ransacked the municipal party committee building. The
loss was relatively small. If they entered Huainan this time, not to mention
many deaths, coal mines would not be able to produce coal, and the consequences
of industrial suspension in the three eastern provinces would be disastrous.
Li Desheng sent Staff Officer Liu to persuade Zhang
Jiaxiang, and at the same time asked the 34th Division to take precautions.
Master Zhang was very vigilant, and immediately mobilized two regiments to
deploy a line of defense to block the attack of the P faction on the front line
of the Datong Mine entering Huainan.
I paid attention to Staff Liu's preparations before
the war, and followed him to Shuijia Lake.
Here is already a scene of hectic marching: on the
various parking lanes of the railway station, seven or eight coal wagons are
already packed with fighters ready to go, about 20,000 people.
When the fighters in the wagon saw the soldiers
coming, they immediately raised their guns and fired into the air. The guns
were like a forest, as if they were showing us their strength.
Staff Officer Liu ordered the car to stop in front
of the track of the first train that was about to depart. He jumped off the
train and shouted to the people on the train: "I am Staff Officer Liu of
Unit 6408. I implore you all to get off the train. Enter Huainan!"
Zhang Jiaxiang, who was sitting in the front of the
car, jumped out of the car and pointed at Staff Liu: "Who are you? Dare to
block my car?" Seeing me standing behind Staff Liu, he breathed a sigh of
relief and said, "We are going back to our hometown to make trouble.
Revolution, guaranteed not to fire the first shot."
Staff Officer Liu said, "You can go back. It
won't be too late to go back after all the rebels in the province have handed
over their guns."
"You can say that our soldiers will not agree.
We were driven out by the bombardment faction, and we want to go back and
restore our homeland."
"If you don't agree, you have to implement it.
This is an order from the central government!"
"The Central Committee you mentioned is not
Chairman Mao's, but Liu Shaoqi's!" Zhang Jiaxiang's attitude turned tough,
and he turned around and waved his hand: "Come here, drive to
Huainan!"
A puff of white smoke spewed out from the front of
the car, two chugs and a few sharp whistles sounded, the wheels started, and
slowly rolled over the rails, resisting our small car. Staff Liu became anxious
and shouted: "Zhang Jiaxiang, you have the ability to run over me!"
He walked to the middle of the track behind the trolley and lay down.
Zhang Jiaxiang was stunned for a moment, and
suddenly, he became angry and shouted: "Go! Press it! My life is worth his
life!"
Staff Liu lay horizontally on the track with his
eyes closed, the locomotive squeezed the trolley twice and then stopped. At
this moment, their Chief of Staff Li appeared, and he whispered to Zhang
Jiaxiang. Zhang Jiaxiang walked away angrily. Chief of Staff Li came over and
knelt down and said to Chief of Staff Liu: "Please, please, let's stop the
train." Come down, if you have something to say to our command post, you
are a soldier, and it will not affect you if you lie down."
Staff Officer Liu sat up and said, "Then
please get off the train, all of you militant corps. The train will go to the
attached line. We won't enter your command post. We will talk here." Staff
Officer Liu was very scheming. Dealing with accumulated experience.
Under the leadership of Chief of Staff Li, more
than 20,000 combat members got off the train cursing, and Zhang Jiaxiang never
appeared again.
Staff Liu told Chief of Staff Li: "We have
deployed two regiments in the Datong Mine. Whoever uses force first, we will
fight back."
These words have an absolute deterrent force. Chief
of Staff Li, who was born in the military, knows that it is impossible for a
mob to fight against the regular army.
This large-scale fighting was finally stopped in
time, and Li Desheng made further arrangements: while handing over the guns,
clean up the bad leaders of the two factions. Zhang Jiaxiang in Huainan was the
first to be cleared out. When the military control committee decided to shoot
him the next year, I rushed to Huainan to see him and "see him off".
Zhang Jiaxiang was imprisoned in the backyard of
the headquarters of our 100th regiment in Tianjiaan. Officer Jin of the
regiment accompanied me to see him. Jin asked the squad leader of the guard
platoon of the regiment to take Zhang Jiaxiang out of the hut without wearing
him. Restraining tools, I stood in the middle of the courtyard and talked to
him.
I observed that his body was still very strong, and
he didn't seem to feel the threat of the death penalty. I asked him, "Do
you remember me?"
Zhang Jiaxiang nodded.
"Do you know what's going on with you?"
"I know, I've been sentenced to death, and
I've reported it to the Central Committee, waiting to be shot." He replied
calmly, with no regrets about his ending.
"What do you have to say?"
"I did not commit a crime. I rebelled to
defend Chairman Mao's revolutionary line. The crime was imposed by them."
"I saw that your crime stated that you robbed
20 kilograms of platinum at the Luqiao Tractor Factory and shot and killed six
people."
"The robbing of the platinum was done by the
people below, and it has been returned in full. The murders were ordinary
people who were killed in the gun battle between the two sides. I don't know
who killed it. It's all on my head."
"Your subordinates raped hundreds of women, is
it true?"
"Bragging is not a capital crime. The banner
of a hero in Liangshanbo is 'walking for the sky'. My banner is to defend
Chairman Mao's revolutionary line. I, Zhang Jiaxiang, am a veteran who
participated in the revolution during the Anti-Japanese War. I will never let
my soldiers do this kind of outrage. things."
"You are the commander-in-chief, and you have
to bear the primary responsibility."
"Whatever you say makes sense, it's just to
kill me. Let me tell you, on the day I was shot, I would shout Long Live
Chairman Mao."
He has regarded death as home, and Lao Mao's
"revolutionary line" pushed him to the top of the wave, and now he
has thrown him to the bottom. Tomorrow, he will disappear from this world. I
waved him off as farewell.
The next day, the Municipal Military Control
Committee held a denunciation meeting of ten thousand people before the
execution in Datong Mine. Amid deafening slogans, Zhang Jiaxiang was brought to
a gangue hill by a squad from the 34th Division's security company. He still
held his head up and did not kneel down. One of our security platoon leaders
held him back with a gun. the back of the head. During the War of Liberation,
most of his comrades fell on the battlefield in the Central Plains. In the
struggle of the Cultural Revolution, he was also bathed in blood. What he won
was not victory, but a platoon leader of the People's Liberation Army who
pulled the trigger on him. When the gunshot sounded, his brains burst out , He
fell headlong into the gangue pile.
Huainan became calm, the great coalition was
established, power was concentrated in the hands of the soldiers, and the
rebels all returned to the mines and factories. The power they got was to work
hard to produce coal at a high rate.
How will history judge Zhang Jiaxiang? 40 years
later, Staff Officer Liu told me that we killed him as an example for the
social stability of Huainan.
Chai Jianmin closed the material "Memories of
Stopping Fighting in Anhui", and he plastically closed his eyes. Regarding
the events that happened in Huainan during the Cultural Revolution, he fell
into deep contemplation.
Group psychological exploration novel (Shenyang)

Today, you can mix together, and will run counter to the benefit tomorrow. I explore the novels of group psychology, hoping that more people in the world can wake up from nightmares.
