He added to Chu Sanxing: However, in the American case, both parties acknowledged the fact that the injured person was pulled out of the car by the person being helped. The dispute was whether the help caused further injuries to the person being rescued due to negligence. Injury, ethics and responsibility all become questions of how the law is applied.

In order to protect the virtues and behaviors of good Samaritans who help others, and to prevent them from getting into trouble or being sued in court if they do good deeds, there is a law in the United States specifically designed to protect good Samaritans.
