Confession and
Regret
Can you
be forgiven after making a mistake? Those who are ungrateful will regret it
sooner or later.
Agudengba
said to the coachman Azhuo:
One of
the most profound and precious things we can do when we make a mistake is the
ability to be forgiven. However, forgiveness is not something we should take
for granted, but a selfless gift from the heart of others. It is a precious
gift given by its possessor that not only finds comfort in our past mistakes,
but also paves the way for our future. However, for those who have
inadvertently ignored or abused this tolerance, the pain of regret may be
inevitable. In the face of our own mistakes, we should deeply understand the
loss and regret. This is such a regrettable confession.

Emperor
Yan, the sun god, knew clearly that his grandson had taken over Wu Gang's wife.
Instead of teaching and punishing his grandson, he used his supreme power to
send Wu Gang to the moon to cut down the tree of immortality. Emperor Yan
knowingly took advantage of his supreme authority and abused his power.
Throughout the dynasties, no emperor would admit his mistakes to the people
under his rule. Even if he made mistakes, he would always blame his ministers
for their disloyalty and incompetence.
Boling
relied on the fact that he was the grandson of Emperor Yan and took advantage
of the power of his family and ancestors. He would not admit his fault for his
adultery. The descendants of monarchs, emperors, powerful ministers and
generals considered themselves relatives of the emperor, and the country was
their father's generation. What they have laid down, they will inherit as a
matter of course. So the country belongs to them, the wealth belongs to them,
the merits belong to them, and what does not belong to them is sin and fault.
The same
is true for Chang'e. She ruthlessly took away Hou Yi's love for Luo Shen, and
ruthlessly stole the elixir that the Queen Mother of the West gave to Hou Yi.
She ascended to heaven, but she lived in the Guanghan Palace on the moon,
accompanying her Just loneliness and isolation. Because Chang'e did not repent
or reflect on her actions.

The key
to being forgiven after making a mistake is sincere repentance and a sincere
apology. Sincere repentance is the first step to forgiveness. Repentance means
we recognize our mistakes and feel a deep sense of remorse and shame. This kind
of regret is not a negative emotion, but a positive experience. It makes us
understand the consequences of our mistakes and want to take the initiative to
express our apology to the injured person. The core of repentance is reflection
and self-blame on past wrongdoings. Only by realizing the seriousness of
mistakes can we find the motivation to correct them.
There is
no doubt that those emperors and powerful officials do not need forgiveness
because they never admit their mistakes. Chang'e didn't need forgiveness, and
she never admitted her fault to Hou Yi.
A sincere
apology is an important step in rebuilding a damaged relationship. Apology is
not just a simple verbal expression of apology, but requires practical actions
to prove our determination and sincerity. First, we need to choose the right
time and place to ensure that our apology is truly accepted and understood by
the other party.
Then, we
should be honest about our mistakes and take corresponding responsibility. We
should avoid any excuses or explanations that undermine the sincerity of our
apology. Finally, we can propose remedies that demonstrate our willingness to
take positive action to repair the harm caused. Actions speak louder than
words, compensate the injured person through practical actions, let the other
party see our changes and efforts, thus opening the door to rebuild the
relationship.
Agudengba
sighed to the coachman Azhuo: The history of China is actually a history of
myths. The stories in myths have gradually become the beliefs of the people.
Unfortunately, these beliefs do not have the word "fair". Many people
claim to be descendants of Yan and Huang. Apart from praising the Emperors of
Yan and Huang, no one would accuse them of making mistakes. Even if they made
mistakes, they were all due to the disloyalty and unfilial piety of the people
in the world. Does anyone know the story of Boling's adultery? In order to protect
the reputation of the Holy Spirit, such stories have long been obliterated.
Agudemba
sang a folk song "Repentance and Regret":
If you want to gain forgiveness from
others,
That didn't happen overnight.
It takes a while for an injured person to
Come digest and accept your apology.
This requires the person who made the
mistake to be patient,
Be able to understand how the victim feels.
Sincere remorse and sincere apology,
It’s not just about making mistakes.
You should improve your behavior,
Avoid making the same mistake again.
Show respect and care for others,
Only then can we rebuild wounded
relationships.
A dictator never knows how to correct his
mistakes;
Powerful officials and subordinates always
avoid mistakes.
Shifting responsibility for mistakes to
others,
This is an ugly trick of human nature.
No one learns from their mistakes;
It is only a matter of time before the
country is destroyed and the family is destroyed.
The value of time is far more valuable than
money,
It is wealth that will never come again.
Not cherishing time will leave regrets,
Learn to find inner peace.
Confession is a journey of inner growth;
Daring to apologize can change your life.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fableskes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s di masease.
