Little bodhisattva
The Dawa girl accompanied Mr. Agudemba to the border between Bangladesh and Myanmar. They broke up with Mr. Rajiz, whom they met by chance on the way. Mr. Rajiz said to them: There is a small hotel here, next to the grove. , you can find Mr. Amon, Mr. Amon is the owner of this hotel. He is also my friend.
After Mr. Agudemba
and the Dawa girl thanked Mr. Ragiz, they walked towards the grove. Sure
enough, they saw a small hotel. Mr. Amon heard that they were introduced by Mr.
Ragiz and received them very warmly.
What surprised Mr.
Agudenba was that the name of this small hotel was "Little
Bodhisattva", and there was also a statue of a child enshrined in the
hotel.
Mr. Amon smiled
and said: This child is the little Bodhisattva.
Mr. Amon told the
story of the little Bodhisattva:
A long time ago,
this was the jurisdiction of the country of Parana. The Bodhisattva of Wisdom
was reborn as the son of King Paranai. Because of his superhuman intelligence,
he learned magic under the teachings of the priest Bodo Seymour when he was
young, and mastered a kind of magic that could understand the languages of all
animals. So people call him "Little Bodhisattva". When the little
Bodhisattva was twenty years old, the little Bodhisattva returned to the
country of Parana.
Although the king
made him a prince, he found that his son was soft-hearted and a
Bodhisattva-hearted person. If he took over the throne in the future, he might
not be qualified. Let him exercise his ability to live independently, and let
him learn how to live alone in nature first.
The little prince
then went to the grove alone. That night, he stayed in an inn not far from the
grove. Legend has it that this inn is the current inn.
Mr Amon said:
That night, the
little prince took off his shoes and put them on the floor, getting ready to go
to bed. At this moment, a mother jackal and two little jackals crawled into the
inn from the river in the grove. The two little jackals were howling with
hunger. The mother jackal said to them: "Stop barking, children."
There was a newly arrived traveler in this inn. He took off his leather boots
and put them on the floor. He had just gone to sleep. When he falls asleep, I
will get those cowhide boots for you to eat.
Because of his
magic skills, the little prince listened to the mother jackal's words. He stood
up, opened the window, and deliberately asked in an old man's voice: Who lives
in the inn?
"It's me, I'm
a traveler." The little prince answered in a boy's voice.
"Where do you
put your shoes?" The old man's voice.
"Put it on
the floor." The boy's voice.
"Pick it up
and hang it!" It was still the old man's voice.
The mother jackal
heard what the little prince said and was very angry with him.
Another night, the
mother jackal sneaked into the inn with two little jackals.
At this time, the
two little jackals screamed again: Mom, we are hungry!
The mother jackal
said: My child, don’t talk! Just now a drunk fell into the lotus pond and
drowned. The drunkard had a ring on his finger and a thousand dollars in his
clothes. Let's take a rest here first. Don't run around for a while. I'll go to
the lotus pond and pick up the drowned drunkard for you to eat. Not only did we
have food, he also had a ring and a thousand dollars!
The little prince
heard what the mother jackal said. He opened the window again and shouted to
the guest room: Is there anyone in the store?
The shopkeeper
replied: Yes, I am here.
The little prince
shouted loudly: A man has just drowned in the lotus pond. Go and take off the
thousand yuan and ring from his body, sink the body to the bottom of the water,
and don't let it float up.
The mother jackal
heard the cry of the little prince, and she was furious and said through
gritted teeth: Last time, he prevented my children from eating cowhide boots,
and this time he prevented them from eating human flesh. This little prince
actually dares to go against me. I will eat his flesh and drink his blood. In
two days, the enemy's army will come to surround the city of Paranai. The king
will send him to fight, and the enemy will chop off his head. I want to see
what happens to him then.
The mother jackal
cursed the little prince and left with the two little jackals.
Mr. Amon
continued:
Within a few days,
the enemy's army really surrounded the city of Paranai.
The king said to
the little prince who had lived independently for a while: My child, you have
been able to live independently, now you go and kill the enemy!
The little prince
said: Father, I have a sign. If I go to war, my life may be in danger.
The king was
angry: Why did I let you live alone for a while? It’s just to let you learn
skills so that you can protect your home and country in the future. Now that
the army is approaching, you are a prince. You should not be afraid of life and
death, but you should fight for the country and kill the enemy bravely. Go for
it!
The little prince
said: "Okay, my child will obey."
The little prince
set off with his troops, but he did not go to fight the enemy directly.
Instead, he went out through another city gate where there were no enemy
garrison, and set up camp in a suitable place. Since he took most of the army
away, the city of Parana seemed to be an empty city.
The king thought
that the prince had fled with his army, and Polonaise had become an empty city.
I am now surrounded by enemies, and if I don't leave quickly, I will definitely
die. So he took the queen, the priest and an attendant, disguised himself, and
fled out of the city overnight while it was dark and hid in the forest.
The little prince
was stunned when he heard the news that the king had escaped. The reason why he
did not engage the enemy directly was because he wanted to lure the enemy out
of the city. This move was indeed successful. The little prince led the troops
to fight with the enemy in the suburbs. He defeated the enemy and recovered the
city of Polonaise. More importantly, he did not let the people in the city fall
into the flames of war.
Mr. Amon said to
Mr. Agudenba and Miss Dawa: Because the little prince defeated the enemy army
and took measures to lure the enemy army out of the city and fight with the
enemy army outside the suburbs, it prevented the people in the city from
falling into the flames of war. Therefore, the local people call him
"Little Bodhisattva". There is a "Little Bodhisattva
Temple" here, and my hotel is also named "Little Bodhisattva".
People here believe that he can bless us with good luck and peace.
Mr. Amon sang a
local prayer song "I Love My Country":
There is no our motherland
There is no home for me
I deeply love my country
If you want to ask
What has the country done for us?
I'll be very proud to tell you
The country is a rooster with its head held
high
Awaken us to abandon darkness and move
towards light
The country is a majestic lion
Never allow the invasion of jackals
If you want to ask
what have we done for our country
I will tell you with great confidence
A strong country and a prosperous people are
the aspirations of the people
People do not accept the rule of powerful
people
We demand that the country be clean and
honest
Only the people are the masters of the
country
There is no happiness for the people
There would be no country for me
I deeply love my people
