Satyabhati
After listening to
the love story told by Agudenba, the Dawa girl also told a wonderful love story.
Once upon a time,
there was a monk named Balashala. When he saw the beautiful woman Satyabhati
who was born from the belly of a fish and was raised by a fisherman, he
couldn't help falling in love with her and wanted to marry her wholeheartedly.
Wife, although this girl promised to marry him, she had to agree to a
condition, that is, when they gave birth to their first son after marriage, she
must return to her original form, and she also agreed to get rid of the fishy
smell on her body.
After negotiating
the terms, the two got married and soon gave birth to a son. This son is said
to be Vyasa who wrote this story.
Although Vyasa
became a monk after a long period of ascetic training, when he was about to
leave his mother Satyabhati to practice, he made an appointment with her that
he would come back at any time as long as her mother wanted to see him.
At that time,
there was a Kingdom of Bharat located in the upper reaches of the Ganges and
Yamuna rivers. Among the descendants of the King of Bharat there was a king
named Kru. The descendants of this king were called the Kru tribe and they
ruled the Kingdom of Bharat for a long time. , so that later the Kru tribe
actually became the representative of the Bharata tribe, and its kingdom was
called Krulu Shetra, which is the land of Kru.
King Shandanu of
the Kingdom of Kru married the goddess Ganges as his concubine and gave birth
to the prince Bishma.
But one day,
Shandanu, the king of Kru, saw Satyabhati and was immediately shocked that she
was a heavenly being and wanted to marry her as his concubine.
The fishermen told
the king that if the king married Satyabhati as his concubine, their son would
inherit the throne. The king was greatly troubled after hearing this.
However, after
knowing this, Prince Vishu voluntarily gave up his right to inherit the throne
and vowed not to marry for the rest of his life.
The king therefore
married Satyabhati as his concubine, and later gave birth to two princes,
Kirtrangada and Vichidravilia.
After the death of
King Shandanu, the king's son Kirtrangadapur also died in battle soon. As a
result, Prince Vichidravilia ascended the throne, but he also died leaving
behind two princesses.
Vichidravilia's
mother, Satyabhati, was afraid that her incense would be cut off, so she wanted
her son Bishma, who had voluntarily given up the throne to inherit the throne,
to marry these two young and newly widowed princesses in order to have
descendants.
But Bishudama
refused this arrangement on the grounds that he had vowed not to marry.
Then Satyabhati
thought of Vyasa, her son by Parasha. While she was thinking, Vyasa immediately
appeared before her eyes. Because when Vyasa was about to leave his mother
Satyabhati to practice spiritual practice, he made an appointment with his
mother that he would come back at any time as long as her mother wanted to see
him. Now it has come true.
Satyabhati's son
Vyasa was born very ugly, and due to the torture of asceticism, his appearance
was simply unsightly, and his whole body exuded a foul odor.
When Vyasa
approached the first princess, the princess couldn't help but close her eyes.
Because of this, the son she gave birth to was completely blind. This child was
named Dridharasutra.
When the second
princess saw Vyasa's appearance, she immediately became pale and bloodless, so
her son was named Bondo, which means "pale".
But there was
constant fighting between the two sons born to the two princesses.
After the blind
Dridharasutra grew up, he married Gandhari as his concubine and gave birth to a
hundred princes including Dayudhana. These princes were very eccentric in
character. They were called Gaulaba, which means "Kru's".
Descendants".
Bondo married two
wives, Gendi and Modly. Gendi gave birth to three princes, Yudishutila, Arjuna
and Bhima, and Modli gave birth to twins Nakhara and Sahadaba.
These five princes
later became known as Bondaba, meaning "Sons of Bondo". They are all
warriors active in Indian mythology.
After the Dawa
girl finished telling this story, Agudenba said nothing. He didn't know what he
should say.
However, the Dawa
girl sang a song called "Where is the True Love?" 》:
Is there true love in the world?
when you fall in love with someone
Maybe you are blind
Love is not all honey
sometimes become pale
Because on the road of love,
Always overgrown with thorns
Is there true love in the world?
The emperors had many wives and concubines
Love is just a game
Queens and concubines compete for favor
I only hope that my children and
grandchildren will inherit the throne
True love does not belong to the royal family
often hidden among the people
