Han
Erniang and Chai Jianhua chatted at home about the "suspension of classes
to start the revolution" during the Cultural Revolution. She believed that
Mao Zedong's motivation for launching the Cultural Revolution was to eliminate
opponents in the party, promote his revolutionary model to the world, and act
as the leader of the world revolution. However, because he had already made
many mistakes on the issues of "General Line", "Great Leap
Forward", and "People's Commune", which led to three consecutive
years of famine and tens of millions of people starved to death, it was
difficult for him to follow the normal path. Eliminate a large number of
objects of his suspicion in the party. Therefore, he did not hesitate to use
methods to create chaos in order to win in the chaos. That is what he called
"Great Chaos Governing the World". For this reason, he intentionally
created chaos across the country and frantically encouraged young students to
"rebel for reason."
Mao
Zedong was unusually held on August 18, August 31, September 15, October 1,
October 18, November 3, November 10, and November 26, 1966. A total of 8 The
first time, I received Red Guards from all over the country on the Tiananmen
Gate.
Once,
Mao Zedong put on the armbands of the Red Guards, regardless of the dissuasion
of the people around him, he just walked down from the Tiananmen Gate and sat
on the ground in the square, showing that he and the young Red Guards
"united, fought together, and won together" will.
Instigated
by Mao Zedong, students in Beijing first started to rebel. They established the
Red Guards organization, and first set off a frenzy of persecuting the
principal and teachers in the school. Immediately afterwards, the beating Red
Guards rushed to the society, beating anyone they wanted in institutions,
factories, mines, and streets. According to statistics publicly disclosed after
the "Cultural Revolution" ended, during the 40 days from August to
September 1966, the Red Guards killed 1,772 people in Beijing alone, 13 of whom
were school principals. Those days were called "Bloody Red August".
Those who did not experience the catastrophe could hardly imagine the madness
and cruelty of the bloody storm at that time.
At that
time, a large slogan "Long live the red terror" was painted on
Chang'an Avenue, and a cloud of terror enveloped the whole city of Beijing.
The
situation was already so dire that instead of stopping it, Mao Zedong further
provoked the students to rebel. On September 5, 1966, the Central Committee of
the Communist Party of China issued a "Notice", expressing its
support for the large-scale connection of students, encouraging students from
all over the country to come to Beijing to learn Buddhist scriptures, and also
mobilizing Beijing students to go to various places to carry out revolutionary
connections, to "fan the wind of revolution, point Revolutionary
fire".
Mao
Zedong also used economic means to "gain benefits" from the Red
Guards, announcing that all expenses needed in the series, such as travel
expenses, accommodation expenses, and food expenses, would all be paid by the
state.
As soon
as the "Notice" was issued, a tsunami-like frenzy of tandems was set
off across the country. Tens of millions of tandem students were honored as
"Chairman Mao's guests" and ran to all parts of the country,
impacting in all directions.
In the
big series, some students established liaison stations in various places,
attacked government agencies, factories, mines, and scientific research
institutes, fought against "capitalist roaders", and destroyed places
of interest in the name of "destroying the four olds".
The
large-scale series caused the national traffic to fall into extreme chaos,
seriously disrupted the social order, hindered the normal production and living
order, and the whole country was paralyzed and semi-paralyzed.
Among
the innumerable evil results of the grand series, the biggest evil result is
that the Beijing Red Guards pushed the violence of beating people to all parts
of the country. The students from other places were amazed to see the Red
Guards from Beijing who went to the local area to beat people with their belts
at every turn. Only then did they know that the Red Guards around Chairman Mao
turned out to be rebellious like this! They also learned at once.
On
August 18, 1966, Lin Biao delivered a speech at the "Cultural Revolution
Celebration Conference", calling on the Red Guards to "destroy all
the old ideas, old culture, old customs, and old habits of the exploiting
classes", which is the so-called "destroying the four olds".
Due to
the issuance of the "Notice" by the Central Committee of the
Communist Party of China on September 5, the number of people in series has
increased sharply, and the train has been overloaded several times.
"Chairman Mao's guests" couldn't eat, drink or go to the toilet at
all, because the toilet was also full of people.
In the
extreme crowding, some students "stand" for a long time without their
feet touching the ground. Quite a few students couldn't squeeze into the
carriages at all, and couldn't stay in place indefinitely. In desperation, they
organized a "Long March Team" to connect on foot.
Mao
Zedong ignored the safety of these young people and stepped up incitement. On
October 22, the "People's Daily" published an editorial "Red
Guards Are Not Afraid of Difficulties in Expeditions", praising the Red
Guards walking in series as a very meaningful "innovation".
Regarding
the "big connection", the authorities repeatedly emphasized that it
was "Chairman Mao's great care and love for the Red Guards" and
"seeing the world through wind and rain."
Han
Erniang said to Chai Jianhua: I was a middle school teacher at the time, many
teachers were criticized, and the principal and secretary were also criticized.
In retrospect, I think this was trading diamonds for bedbugs in exchange for a
crowded and hungry tandem at the cost of students being out of school for life!
Han
Erniang said that after more than half a year of the Red Guard rebellion, Mao
Zedong saw that his greatest opponent Liu Shaoqi and his wings had clearly lost
power in the chaos he specially created. This made him feel that the Red Guards
were no longer worth using. He played the trick of "indulging in me"
again, canceling his promise to the Red Guards to set off a new climax in the
spring of the following year, and clearly no longer supported the Red Guards
going out.
In
November 1966, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the
State Council issued the "Notice on the Issue of Revolutionary Connections
between Revolutionary Teachers and Students", which decided that starting
from November 21, before the warm spring season of the coming year, all visits
to Beijing and other places for connection will be suspended.
On
December 1, a supplementary notice was issued, announcing that starting from
December 21, free food and lodging would no longer be implemented, and the Red
Guard reception stations that provided free board and lodging in various places
were quickly withdrawn.
Now
that transportation, board and lodging have all been lost, the "big
series" has become the end of the battle.
On
March 19, 1967, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued
the "Notice on Stopping the National Mass Collusion".
Although
the large-scale series has gradually stopped, schools across the country are
still in a state of "suspension of classes and revolution". Tens of
millions of "rebel young generals" who had just exited the
all-powerful rebellion stage were suddenly unemployed, bored, with nothing to
do, and nowhere to vent their energy.
Since
"suspension of classes" means "making a revolution", of
course the word "making trouble" should be used first. The classroom
doors, windows, glass, blackboards, desks, and chairs were all smashed.
Since
the principal and teachers can beat them, what's the point of smashing tables,
chairs and benches?
After
the big tandem was over, the teachers and principals of each school hid
themselves and did not dare to show their faces, and I did not dare to go to
school at that time.
As a
result, the doors, windows, tables and chairs without hiding skills became
scapegoats, and various school facilities were mainly destroyed at that time.
Elementary schools suffered less damage, followed by universities, and middle
schools were the worst.
Han
Erniang said to Chai Jianhua: When "classes resume to cause
revolution", if anyone can find three complete pieces of glass in a middle
school, it will be a miracle. Today's students have difficulty understanding
what the generation of students whose thinking was poisoned at that time did.
At that time, fanatical political superstition was like a plague, sweeping the
public through various media, making people lose their basic rationality. No wonder
people often sigh: "It seems that students are indeed the easiest group to
be used."
Destruction
is everywhere. During the period of "suspension of classes for
revolution", my school was also severely damaged. The original order
inside and outside the campus has long since disappeared. The east and west
teaching buildings, office buildings, libraries, and laboratories are all
broken doors and windows. The teaching instruments, office equipment, books,
electrical appliances, etc. inside have been demolished and taken away, leaving
very little left.
During
the period of "suspension of classes for revolution", the noblest and
most civilized action is probably stealing books. The students smashed open the
doors and windows of the library, and took all the books in the library for
their own. Or the library has long been smashed, and the door is open, and
people can come and go as they please. Some people actually become small
bibliophiles by stealing books from the library. These students nourished
themselves by reading stolen books and survived the era of cultural famine, and
some even became talented by reading these "stolen books".
The
laissez-faire "suspension of classes to start a revolution" continues
sadly. For nearly a year and a half, the enrollment and course operation of all
schools came to a standstill. Probably Mao Zedong was too busy "struggling
with others" to take care of it. If he didn't speak, no one dared to
mention the resumption of classes for students, including Zhou Enlai, who was
in a high position.
In this
way, from the 6 or 7-year-old primary school students to the 26- or 27-year-old
university graduating students, all their studies were ruthlessly abandoned in
the farce of "suspending classes for revolution" just because Mao
Zedong launched the Cultural Revolution.
Han
Erniang said to Chai Jianhua with great emotion: "The first act of the
farce of "suspending classes to cause revolution" is over. The second
act of the farce of "resuming classes and making revolution", which
exists in name only, has begun again.
Group psychological exploration novel (Shenyang)
回复删除Today is like a crow gathering, and tomorrow will disappear like a beast. This is the case for hooligans, politicians, and ignorance people. Today, you can mix together, and will run counter to the benefit tomorrow. I explore the novels of group psychology, hoping that more people in the world can wake up from nightmares.
