Pan Guangfu chatted with Chai Jianmin, He Jiafu and
Li Tiandao, these 90-year-olds, about the old stories of the "puppies".
Mai Changhong is a veteran cadre of the Red Army,
but was hit during the Anti-Rightist Movement and the Cultural Revolution. Mai
Changhong's eldest son, Mai Mang, is very radical. In order to draw a line with
his reactionary father, he severed his father-son relationship with his father.
Mai Mang's younger sister, Mai Shu, is Pan
Guangfu's mother. Pan Guangfu follows Mai Mang's example and ruthlessly never
interacts with Mai Shu again.
Mai Shu was Li Tiandao's first love. He paid close
attention to Mai Shu's life back then.
Li Tiandao asked Pan Guangfu, "How did your
mother treat her father?"
Pan Guangfu did not know that his mother, Mai Shu,
had a relationship with Li Tiandao. He said without hesitation: "My mother
is gentle and a filial daughter. Not only did she not sever ties with his
politically impacted father, but I have been taking care of him, but I was
implicated by this, I was also criticized, and I was fined to clean the
toilet."
Li Tiandao asked again: "How are they doing
now?"
Pan Guangfu replied: "My grandfather Mai
Changhong passed away long ago. My mother Mai Shu and father Pan Renshu are now
residing in Hong Kong. Her brother, my uncle Mai Mang is now the manager of a
medical company in Hong Kong."
Pan Guangfu turned to Chai Jianmin and said,
"I went to the Mainland this time to accompany Chai Lao to Hong Kong
according to their instructions. Chai Lao, you are my father's old
comrade-in-arms."
Pan Guangfu said to He Jiafu again: "Mr. He,
if you want, you can also go to Hong Kong. You are also my father's old
comrade-in-arms."
Pan Guangfu sighed: I used to be a reporter for the
Hong Kong media, but I will never forget the puppies in our generation. They
are a special group. In the past, I often interviewed the puppies of the
Cultural Revolution. An anti-rightist movement not only brought down hundreds
of thousands or millions of rightists, but also implicated millions of their
family members and relatives. Call it "Puppy". Not long ago, Voice of
America broadcast a Washington report by Li Su: After 1949, the rightist
bastards talked about the year. This report brought me back to that year.
Pan Guangfu began to tell the story about the
"dog boy" Huang Xiaolu in Li Su's report:
Huang Xiaolu, a retired teacher, now lives in the
United States. His father, Huang Wanli, is an expert in water conservancy in
China and a professor at the Department of Water Conservancy of Tsinghua
University. He is the son of Huang Yanpei, a famous Chinese educator in the
early 20th century. Huang Wanli received a doctorate in engineering in the
United States in 1937. In 1955, the Sanmenxia Dam project on the Yellow River
started, and Huang Wanli firmly opposed it. But he was single and weak, so he
had no choice but to publish the prose "Little Words in the Flower
Cong" in the Tsinghua University Journal in June 1957 to vent his
dissatisfaction.
After Mao Zedong saw this prose, he commented
dissatisfiedly: "What is this?" The "People's Daily" also
published this prose under the title of "What to say" as a target for
future criticism. Huang Wanli thus became one of the biggest rightists in
Tsinghua University. Huang Wanli later spoke out against the construction of
the Three Gorges Water Conservancy Project on the Yangtze River. But like his
opposition to the Sanmenxia project, policymakers did not take his advice into
consideration.
Huang Xiaolu was born in 1946. When his father
Huang Wanli was labeled as a rightist, Huang Xiaolu was still a primary school
student in Beijing.
Huang Xiaolu said: "As soon as my father was
labeled as a rightist, I was immediately nicknamed 'little rightist' by a
classmate in the primary school attached to Tsinghua University. For my little
girl in her teens, it was a great psychological stimulation. In the 6th grade
of elementary school, I remember very clearly, that is, on June 1st in 1958,
the children in our class had to choose two people to go to Jingshan Park in
Beijing. A classmate said: Huang Xiaolu is a 'little rightist', she should not
be chosen. Let's coax me together, and then I will not be allowed to go."
Huang Xiaolu and her elder brother were both
influenced by the rightist father when they were admitted to university.
Huang Xiaolu said: "My second brother was not
admitted to the university in 60 years because of my father. It was very
stimulating to me. Because of the great famine that year, there were these
professors. Those who wore the hat of the rightist were all so-called
'immortals'. Yes', let them talk about what is wrong in their hearts. My father
said, if I make a political mistake, it doesn't matter what kind of punishment
I receive. You send me to prison or labor reform. But if it affects my children
When I was in college, I couldn’t figure it out at all. That’s also because at
that time, in 1961, it seemed that the Communist Party had already starved to
death a lot of people, so it also seemed to be a little softer on these
so-called bourgeois rightists in some respects. Later, in 1961, when the
college entrance examination was about to take place, the United Front Work Department
of Tsinghua University registered my second brother again. So he was admitted
to Tsinghua University in 1961. So, when I took the college entrance
examination in 1965, my parents thought it was completely No problem, so I
didn’t tell the person sent by the Communist Party to work for my father about
my admission to university. At that time, my father took a look at the
admission notice, and if he didn’t admit it, he took it .Later, he took it out
and said: 'You are not admitted.' My heart sank immediately."
After the start of the Cultural Revolution in 1966,
Huang Wanli was sent to a "May 7th Cadre School" in Jiangxi for
quarantine inspection. During this period, Huang Xiaolu once went to visit his
father.
Huang Xiaolu said: "I saw him sitting in the
room first. He winked at me. At that time, it was under quarantine inspection,
as if I was going to visit a prison. I had to talk to the so-called 'Worker
Propaganda Team' or The leaders of the 'Military Propaganda Team' talked. They
said, your father behaved very badly. He was very stubborn and didn't explain
his problems properly. I said that I brought him some clothes. In fact, in his
clothes, Some had sugar in one pocket and sausage in the other. I knew his
'cadre school' wouldn't eat very well at that time. I handed it over to him. He
didn't let me see it. I felt very uncomfortable. I I cried and went back to my
mother. After a day or two, I returned all the food I stuffed for my father. He
said that you can give him clothes, but not food."
In Huang Xiaolu's view, her father Huang Wanli was
not wronged to be a rightist.
Huang Xiaolu said: "I don't think he thinks he
is wronged by being a rightist, because he thinks he has scolded someone. If
you say he is anti-party and anti-socialism, I have to admit it."
Huang Xiaolu is full of pride for such a rightist
father who once brought disaster to himself and his family.
Huang Xiaolu said: "He is 'I am born to be
useful', thinking that he is very talented. He has always been so crazy,
because he is really very talented. So he is quite satisfied with his life. He
always talks to his mother. Said, "Those things I wrote about China's
water conservancy projects, my suggestions, you can watch, after all, they will
control the Yellow River according to my method. After all, the Yangtze River
Dam will be blocked within 10 years after it is closed." Chongqing Port,
it will be bombed.' I think I am very lucky that I can be his daughter."
Pan Guangfu talked about the old stories of the
"puppies" with emotion. Chai Jianmin, He Jiafu and Li Tiandao were
all old people in their 90s. At that time, they were all tossed about in their
own lives, but they could hardly care about their own. what happened to the
children and grandchildren.
Group psychological exploration novel (Shenyang)
回复删除Today is like a crow gathering, and tomorrow will disappear like a beast. This is the case for hooligans, politicians, and ignorance people. Today, you can mix together, and will run counter to the benefit tomorrow. I explore the novels of group psychology, hoping that more people in the world can wake up from nightmares.
