王八鬼-泥塑Tortoise – Clay Sculpture

神龟象征吉祥瑞 龟负洛书禹治水 汉帝使用龟符咒 唐代五品佩龟袋 岂料神龟命不长 死后被骂王八鬼 只是因为忘八端 得罪儒家受侮辱 The divine tortoise symbolizes good fortune and auspiciousness. Legend has it that during Yu the Great's flood control efforts, a divine tortoise carried the Luoshu (a feng shui symbol). Han Dynasty emperors used tortoise-shaped talismans. Tang Dynasty officials of the fifth rank wore tortoise-shaped money bags. However, the divine tortoise died young and was cursed as a "tortoise ghost" after its death. This was simply because it forgot the Eight Virtues (a concept in Chinese astrology), offended Confucianism, and suffered humiliation.
