The Four Heavenly Kings are all Golden Ghosts, with fierce, square faces. They don't protect the Jade Emperor in Heaven, but guard the temple gates of incense burners. Money can make the devil turn the millstone; without money, one becomes the millstone-turning devil. Golden and jade-like exteriors conceal evil intentions; a golden sable coat can turn the god of wine into a ghost.
