Rama
is born
Why did the great god Vishnu descend to earth in his incarnation and
carry himself to the house of the King of Ten Chariots? Agudemba told the
donkey that famous Indian mythology story.
At the beginning, the great god Brahma promised to give a favor to
Ravana, the ten-headed king. The ten-headed king requested that neither gods
nor demons could kill him.
The Ten-headed King was the king of Lanka Island, which is today's Sri
Lanka.
The great god Brahma once agreed to the request of the ten-headed king
Ravana, but the ten-headed king Ravana looked down on human beings, so he did
not mention that humans could not kill him.
Since the ten-headed king Ravana received the grace of Brahma, he became
arrogant and domineering. Not only did he steal the speeding car of his
brother, the God of Wealth, but he even captured Indra, the king of gods.
For this reason, the great god Brahma decided to punish the ten-headed
king Ravana. Because the Ten-headed King did not mention that humans could not
kill him at that time, the great god Brahma and the three main gods Vishnu and
Shiva decided to punish the Ten-headed King by relying on the power of a strong
man.
At this time, there was a beautiful and rich country, Kosala, south of
the Himalayas. In its capital city Ayotta lived the famous Ten Chariot Kings.
There are eight ministers under the King of Ten Ches, all of whom are capable
people. They assist the King of Ten Ches to govern the country in an orderly
manner, and the people live and work in peace and contentment. But the king was
getting old, and his three queens did not give him a son or a daughter, so the
king decided to hold a grand ceremony to win the favor of the gods and give him
a son.
The great god Brahma informed the great god Vishnu of this matter.
Vishnu thought that an opportunity had come, so he incarnated and descended to
earth and was reborn in the family of Shichawang. He would destroy the
evil-doing Ravana as a mortal.
So Vishnu appeared in the blazing sacred fire of the temple with a
golden bowl in hand. He asked the king of ten chariots to share the milk in the
golden bowl with the queens to drink, and told the king of ten chariots that he
would have a son. Soon, all three queens were pregnant. Later, the eldest queen
Chausaraye gave birth to her son Rama, the second queen Jidhii gave birth to
her son Bharata, and the third queen Ramitara gave birth to twins Lakshmana and
Sadaluna.
Time flies, and all four sons have grown up. All of them are handsome
and well-educated. They have received a good education since childhood and
learned the classics and the skills to govern the country and lead troops in
war. Among them, Rama is particularly outstanding. His appearance has all the
characteristics that Indians consider perfect. He has a humble personality,
manages the country well, and is deeply loved by his countrymen.
One day, all the friends and sages came to the city of Ayotta. He said
that two Rakshasa came to the pure forest where he was practicing, and behaved
wildly, disrupting his practice. He asked the king to let him take Rama away to
help protect the pure forest.
The third prince Lakshmana always respected his brother Rama and
insisted on going with Rama. After the two brothers came to the Jingxiu Forest,
they killed the Rakshasa who disturbed the Jingxiu Forest. The elders in the
forest were very grateful to the brothers. The friends and sages gave Rama
weapons and taught them martial arts.
One day, the friends and immortals told the brothers that the king of
Mithila City, Janaka, was going to hold a ceremony to sacrifice the gods, and
many heroes would go there. When Rama heard that King Janaka had a bow
belonging to the great god Shiva, which no one could draw, he couldn't help but
be excited and eager to try it.
The friends and sages brought Brother Rama to the city of Mithila. King
Janaka told them that the bow of the great god Shiva was the national treasure
of Mithila. Many years ago, when the king was plowing a piece of land for
worshiping the gods, a girl appeared in the furrow. This girl was given by the
earth goddess Earth Mother. The king named her Sita and swore to the gods that
only the girl who could pull away Only a man with a magical bow can become
Sita's husband. Now many famous kings and princes come here because of its
reputation, but no one can draw this magical bow.
The king ordered someone to take out the divine bow. Rama lifted the
divine bow with one hand, stretched out his arm and pulled hard, and the divine
bow was broken. King Janaka happily married his daughter Sita to Rama.
When Rama returned to the city of Ayodha with his newly married and
beautiful wife, the whole city was boiling. The clean streets were lined with
colorful flags and flowers. People danced and sang to bless Rama on his new
marriage.
At this time, the King of Ten Chariots felt that he was old and weak,
and wanted to establish a prince as soon as possible. He discussed with the
ministers, and the ministers unanimously agreed that making Rama the prince was
what the people wanted.
Agudenba said to the donkey Mahu: In fact, the eldest son Rama is also
the male protagonist in the Indian epic "Ramayana". He is the seventh
incarnation of Vishnu, and his full name is Ramachandra. He came down to earth
to save the gods from the tyranny of Ravana, the Rakshasa king, and later
became a god worshiped by Hindus. His divinity is not very prominent in the
Ramayana, but he completely became a god in the Medieval Ramayana and some
other dialect adaptations. Believed by the "Rama Sect".
When Agudemba and his donkey were traveling in India, he told the donkey
the mythical stories of India. Singing a divine song "The Birth of
Rama":
