The monkey moves the mountain
Agudumba continued to tell the mythical
story of Rama versus Ravana to the donkey:
Shortly after the battle between King Rama
and the ten-headed demon king Ravana began, the Rakshasa generals Thunder Teeth
and Agampo died one after another. In the end, the commander of the Rakshasa,
Balahasadha, also died in the hands of the monkey army. Especially after
hearing the news of the death of his brother Gongpajana, the ten-headed king
Ravana burst into tears.
At this time, there were no generals
available for the ten-headed king Ravana. Indrajit asked his father Ravana to
fight. He wanted to avenge his uncle and his dead brother.
Indrajit used illusions to create the
illusion of killing Sita in front of the battlefield, which made Rama
grief-stricken. Fortunately, Vibhisana awakened Rama and asked him to send
people to interrupt Indrajit's ongoing sacrifice to prevent him from
cultivating a powerful weapon.
Vibhisana asked the monkey soldiers to lure
Indrajit away. He and Lakshmana came to the altar, bent their bows and arrows,
and waited for Indrajit to return.
Indrajit came back, and when he saw
Vibhisana he couldn't help but burst into anger, and then laughed at Lakshmana
as a defeated general. Indrajit and Lakshmana were fighting alone, shooting
showers of arrows at each other. Both men's armors were shot into pieces by the
other's arrows, and their bodies were covered in blood, but no one could gain
the upper hand.
Ravana also immediately led an army of
100,000 demons out of the city to fight again. The two armies met in close
combat, and the sound of killing shook the field.
Rama and Lakshman wielded swords and
halberds, and fired arrows; the monkey army sent by the Monkey King was also
highly skilled in martial arts and agile, and they killed the demon army so
much that rats scurried away, leaving mountains of corpses and rivers of blood.
The ten-headed demon king Ravana saw that
the Rama brothers were brave and the monkey Hanuman and the monkeys were
unstoppable, so he sent his son Raiyin into battle.
Lei Yin is no ordinary person, and his
magic arrows are extremely lethal. As soon as he came out of the battle, the
situation changed. A rain of arrows fell on the monkey army, causing a chaos.
Seeing this, Lashman jumped up to the high
ground and loaded his bow with an unavoidable divine arrow. This was an arrow
used by the Emperor Indra. Laishman fired a powerful arrow at Lei Yin, hitting
Lei Yin's chest. Finally, Raiyin, the son of the demon king Ravana, finally
fell.
Seeing that his beloved son was killed,
Ravana's twenty eyes turned red. He waved twenty weapons with his twenty arms
and rushed forward screaming.
Rama raised his sword to meet him. It was
the enemy who wanted to see him and was extremely jealous. The ten-headed demon
king relied on his many heads, eyes, and hands to dance twenty weapons in a
dizzying manner.
Rama's battle against Ravana became
increasingly fierce.
Ravana was eager for revenge, ordered his
generals to rectify their troops, boarded his gleaming chariot and left the
city again. At this time, various omens appeared in the sky, but the irrational
Rakshasa King ignored them at all.
The fierce fighting began again, and
Ravana's generals were killed one by one. But he charged personally, and the
monkey army was defeated.
Vibhisana quietly walked around to the side
of Ravana's chariot and beat the horse pulling the chariot to death with his
vajra.
The ten-headed king was furious, jumped out
of the car, and wanted to kill Vibhisana with a javelin, but Lakshmana stopped
him with a hail of arrows.
The Ten-headed King threw his javelin at
Lakshmana. Lakshmana was seriously injured and fell to the ground. King Miaoxiang
and Hanuman stepped forward to carry Lakshmana away.
Lakshmana was dying, and Rama was extremely
anxious. At this time, the Bear King said: "In the Himalayas in the far
north, there is a magical Kailasa medicinal mountain. There are four kinds of
grass growing on the mountain called 'Revival grass', 'Healing grass', 'Injury
grass' and 'Eldergrass'. 'The magical herb. Let the monkey Hanuman fly on the
wind to pick up the herb in time, and Lakshman can bring him back to
life."
The divine monkey Hanuman jumped across the
sea, climbed over the mountains, and came to Mount Kailasha. However, those
celestial beings were very frightened when they saw Hanuman. Each and every one
of them retreated into the soil and never came out again. In anger, Hanuman moved
the entire mountain and took it back to Lanka.
Lakshmana regained his health after
smelling the scent of ambrosia. Hanuman moved Mount Kailash back to its
original place as he had come.
Lakshmana and Rama went to the battlefield
again.
The gods watching the battle in heaven
decided to help Rama. Emperor Indra asked his charioteer Morita to drive his
chariot down to earth to help Rama.
An unprecedentedly fierce battle began.
The Ten-headed King cast his magic, and the
arrows shot from his bow immediately turned into poisonous snakes and flew
towards Rama. Rama's golden arrows were given by the Garuda King, and they also
turned into countless rhinoceros, destroying all the snake arrows. The two of
them fought for a long time. The ground shook due to their fighting, and the
sky was filled with rain of arrows. Rama cut off one of Ravana's heads, and
immediately a new head grew on Ravana's shoulders.
Rama knew that he could not win in a close
combat with Ravana and would only consume his physical strength. He showed his
weakness, turned around and ran away, followed by Ravana.
Morita reminded Rama to use the divine
arrows given by the great god Brahma.
The death of the Ten-Sou King has come.
Rama saw closely and shot Ravana in the chest with an arrow. Ravana staggered
and continued to chase. Rama's second arrow came and hit him again in the
chest. These two arrows almost killed him, and Ravana trembled and fell down.
This arrow of Brahma is extremely powerful.
The tail feathers have the power of the wind god, and the arrow tip has the
power of the fire god and the sun god. Ravana could not avoid it, and the
divine arrow penetrated his chest and heart.
Agudengba told the donkey that Ravana, the
King of Ten Songs, was very remorseful before his death and left a "Thinking
Song":
I am
a god and demon and have nothing to fear. What should I be afraid of?
Unexpected
result: defeat by others. Why?
If
you don't respect your parents and show respect to God, what should you do?
Brothers
and sisters are born from the same roots, why are they fighting?
Children
and grandchildren will have their own blessings. Why worry?
Being
diligent and frugal in running a household is better than asking for help. What
is extravagant?
The
land of the forefathers is harvested by the future generations. What do they
occupy?
Prosperity
and wealth are all the flowers in front of you, what are you proud of?
When
will retribution end and what will it end?
Bullying
is a disaster but a blessing to others. What is it?
Being
clever is mistaken for cleverness. What a coincidence?
We
can clearly distinguish right from wrong. What are we arguing about?
The
world is like a game of chess. What does it mean?
Once
everything comes to an end, what are you busy with?
If
you didn’t practice cultivation in your past life, you will suffer now. What
should you blame?
Today
I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. What are you worried about?
Don't
blame me
It
turns out that ghosts and gods are inferior to humans
There
are many people who are not as good as me
Don't
praise me
Even
though I am a god, it is difficult for me to defeat humans
Those
who are better than me are as numerous as the stars
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
