Even the devil
has kind words
Agudengpa told
the donkey that when Rama fought against the ten-headed king Ravana, Rama saw
it closely and shot Ravana in the chest with one arrow, and then shot the
second arrow and hit his chest again. These two arrows killed him, and Ravana
trembled and fell down.
Rama used an
arrow from the great god Brahma. The tail feathers had the power of the wind
god, and the arrow tip had the power of the fire god and the sun god. Ravana
could not avoid it, and the divine arrow penetrated his chest and heart.
The Ten-headed
King fell, the sound of heavenly drums sounded in the sky, and showers of
flowers rained down.
Agudengba said
that Ravana, the King of Ten Songs, was very remorseful before his death and
left a "Song of Thoughts". This song shocked and moved the great god
Brahma.
Ravana (Rāvaṇa), whose name means "making people cry with
violence", is the son of the sage Visilava and Jijisi (the daughter of the
Rakshasa king Sumali), and also The brother of Kubera, the god of wealth.
In order to
avenge his dead brother and injured sister, Ravana also abducted Rama's wife
Sita because of her lust. Sita's husband Rama therefore went to Lanka Island,
killed Ravana and Save your wife. Despite this, Ravana is not simply a demon
king. He is a very capable ruler and a loyal follower of Shiva. Under the
guidance of his father, Ravana is familiar with the Vedas and Upanishads and is
well versed in military affairs. , and can play the viena.
Ravana once
performed intense asceticism with Brahma for several years. During the process,
because he was angry with Brahma for ignoring him, Brahma cut off his head, but
every time it was cut off, Ravana would give birth to new ones. After repeating
this 10 times, Brahma finally appeared, injected the nectar of immortality into
Ravana's navel, and granted him the blessing of not being harmed by gods and
demons other than mortals, and then connected all the severed heads. Back on
his neck.
Ravana, who
gained divine power, led his grandfather's army to Lanka Island, also known as
Lanka Island. He once threatened his half-brother Kubera to seize power by
force. Kubera had to give up and leave at his father's suggestion. But Lanka
Island was extremely wealthy under Ravana's rule, and the people did not know
what hunger was.
Perhaps these
exploits of Ravana touched Rama.
Rama said:
"No matter how many bad things Ravana did during his lifetime, he was a
king and a warrior after all. He died in battle, and the hatred towards him
should disappear with the end of his life."
Therefore,
Rabojan had defected to his brother Vibhisana, the king of ten heads, and
presided over the funeral with the status of the king of ten heads.
Rama walked to
the body of Ravana, the king of ten heads. Unexpectedly, Ravana suddenly opened
his eyes.
Rama said to
Ravana, "I wonder if you have any other instructions?"
Ravana, the king
of ten poems, said to Rama: "I am about to leave, but I have two words for
you. If you want to do good things for the people, do it today, and don't delay
doing good things until tomorrow; if you have distracting thoughts of doing bad
things, you can let go. Do it tomorrow and maybe tomorrow will change your
mind.”
After saying
this, Ravana, the ten-headed king, turned into a wisp of smoke and rose into
space. It turned out that it was the great god Brahma who resurrected him and
asked Ravana to leave these famous quotes on governing the country to Rama.
Agudumba sang the
song "Ravana's Sayings":
Think carefully about everything you think
about
There are always changes as time goes by
you want to do good
Do it today now
like delaying time
Maybe I'll forget
You have evil thoughts
Don't do evil immediately
Leave it to tomorrow
Maybe I'll give up
Often changes in one thought
Think twice before acting, remember to do
good and abandon evil
