The monkey god comes to the world
When Agudemba and his donkey were traveling
in India, he told the donkey the mythical story of the birth of the monkey god.
After Prince Rama's wife Sita was captured
by the ten-headed demon king Ravana, Rama paid a visit to Sukari, the king of
the monkey kingdom on the mountain, and asked the monkey king to help them
defeat the ten-headed demon king. The Monkey King sent a divine monkey named
Hanuman to inquire about Sita's whereabouts. The monkey god Hanuman found Sita
and reported the message to Rama. Later, the monkey king Sugli led the monkey
army across the sea smoothly, surrounded Lanka Island, and began to challenge
Ravana.
Agudengba said to the donkey Mahu: Do you
know the origin of Hanuman, the monkey god? He is actually the prototype of Sun
Wukong. As early as more than a thousand years before the publication of
"Journey to the West", the image of this divine monkey appeared in
Indian mythology. Between 400 BC and 200 AD, a mythological epic
"Ramayana" appeared in India. This book, together with another epic
masterpiece "Mahabharata", is called "India's "Soul"
masterpiece. The divine monkey Hanuman is the holy monkey in the eyes of
Indians.
It is said that a long time ago, there was
a very famous mountain in ancient India called Sumeru. There are many gods and
goddesses living on the mountain, and there is also a monkey country on the
mountain. The king and queen of the monkey country govern the small monkey
country peacefully and happily.
The queen of the monkey kingdom was very
beautiful and gentle, and the wandering wind god fell in love with her. The god
of wind blew a new wind of life into the queen's head and asked her to give him
a son as beautiful as herself.
Sure enough, the monkey king gave birth to
a little furry monkey. This little furry monkey looked extraordinary: its pure
golden fur shone like rice awns in the sun; it had a long big tail, which showed
its strength even before it went on the battlefield. ; The limbs are long and
flexible, and the movements are nimble and agile.
The God of Wind was so happy when he saw
the little hairy monkey that he went up to the sky and down to the earth,
dancing and singing for several days. He wished his son to grow up quickly and
travel around the world with him when he grows up. However, the God of Wind
never imagined that the newborn monkey would suffer bad luck.
One morning, the queen took the cute little
woolly monkey to the forest to pick wild fruits. She placed her son in the
clearing in the forest and walked deep into the forest with the little basket
in her arms. The little woolly monkey sat alone in the open space, waiting for
his mother to bring him sweet and fragrant wild fruits to eat. However, after
waiting for a long time, he still didn't see his mother coming back. He was
hungry and thirsty and couldn't help crying. ah! This little furry monkey cries
so loudly! The wild beasts ran away in fright, and the leaves trembled. The sun
didn't know what happened, so he jumped to the top of the mountain to watch.
Through the tears, the little hairy monkey
saw a red and round thing suddenly appeared on the top of the mountain. He was
so happy that he opened his mouth with white teeth and smiled:
"Huh? Why haven't I seen such a big
red fruit? It must be sweet and thirst-quenching!"
He jumped up and grabbed the coveted
"big red fruit". Ho! This monkey can jump so high that it jumps into
space and goes straight to the sun!
The sun was clearly visible at this time,
and the earth-shattering sound turned out to be the cry of the little woolly
monkey. Nothing else strange happened, so he smiled, drove the solar chariot,
and rose high into the sky to illuminate the world.
The God of Wind was floating in the air
when he suddenly saw a ball of golden light rising from the green forest and
heading straight towards the sun. He felt very strange. When he saw clearly
that it was his son, the little woolly monkey, chasing the sun, he was
astonished!
The panicked cry of the Queen of the Monkey
King came from the clearing in the forest - she heard her son's cry, and when
she rushed back to feed her son, she found that he was missing somewhere. The
God of Wind didn't care to explain his son's whereabouts to the queen, and
hurriedly chased after the golden light. While chasing, he blew out bursts of
cold air, for fear that his son would be scorched by the sun.
Taiyang heard the sound of wind blowing in
his ears, and there was still a hint of cold air. He didn't know what happened.
He turned around and saw that Father Feng's son was coming straight towards
him. The wise and kind Sun understood everything immediately. He knew that this
little hairy monkey was too young and didn't know what he was doing! The sun
put away its heat and did not scorch him.
Coincidentally, at this time Aro, the son
of Emperor Shakten, was also catching the sun. Arrow is a bad guy who bullies
the sun and moon, and he enjoys torturing the sun and moon. He took advantage
of Taiyang's opportunity to look at the little woolly monkey and climbed into
the car where Taiyang was sitting. Just as he was about to stretch out his long
arm to scratch Taiyang's armpit, he was bumped by the little furry monkey.
Arrow didn't know what kind of ghost this fluffy, golden little monkey was. He
was so frightened that he fell into the clouds and fell heavily on the top of
Mount Sumeru. He got up, grinning in pain, ran back to his father's palace, and
complained in tears.
Sakyamuni is the lord of gods, and people
also call him Indra. The power and power of Indra, the emperor, are boundless.
Someone dares to frighten his son. Is this okay? He picked up the crying
naughty bag Ah Luo, mounted the elephant, and went to settle the score with the
little woolly monkey.
But when the little hairy monkey caught up
with the sun, he found that it was not some sweet wild fruit, but a beautiful
car with a smiling red-faced giant in the car. He was greatly disappointed.
At this time, the God of Wind protected his
son, the little monkey, saluted the sun, turned and left. It just so happened
that Emperor Shaktian and his son came here riding an elephant from afar.
The little furry monkey was delighted:
"Yeah! This gray, white, fat, round thing with all kinds of colors all
over it looks like a big fragrant pie! Or it's just a big fruit I've never seen
before."
Thinking this, his stomach growled eagerly.
He jumped up two steps and rushed to catch the elephant. Emperor Shitian became
furious and shouted: "How dare you, this little hairy monkey, attack the
Emperor of Heaven!"
As soon as he spoke, Emperor Shitian raised
his hand and struck out a string of thunderbolts. I saw a golden light shining
directly on the little furry monkey. The little furry monkey fell on its back
and landed on the top of the mountain, motionless. It turned out that when
Emperor Shakten struck the thunderbolt, he also threw out the vajra, which hit
the little hairy monkey on the left side of his face. The little hairy monkey
died immediately.
Fengshen failed to catch his son, and in an
instant, his son, the little hairy monkey, was beaten to death on the top of
the mountain. He was furious, picked up the dead little woolly monkey, and
cried bitterly. The God of Wind stopped working, and the world fell silent.
This wind god was originally the most
diligent god in the world. He is not only in charge of the winds of nature, but
also active in the bodies of ghosts, humans, and gods in the three realms of
hell, earth, and heaven, wandering and advocating all the time, never stopping.
At this time, he abandoned his work and just cried bitterly for the death of
his son. Not only did the clouds stop flowing, the trees did not shake, the
water stopped flowing, and the waves stopped, even the wind in the bodies of
gods, humans, and ghosts stopped. Without the moving wind in the body, people
cannot breathe and move, like zombies and rotten wood; Xu Shen suffers from
hydrophilia because he cannot relieve his bowels; even ghosts cannot wander
around.
Gods, humans and ghosts all petitioned
Brahma, the supreme god, to relieve the pain of the wind god so that the breeze
could blow again and give life to all things in the three realms. So, the great
god Brahma led the gods to the place where the wind god was. They saw that the
God of Wind was holding the dead baby monkey and sitting in a daze.
When the God of Wind saw the great god
Brahma arriving with all the gods, he hurriedly stood up and bowed and knelt
before the great god Brahma. With a kind smile on his face, the great god
Brahma grabbed the wind god and took over the little woolly monkey. As soon as
he touched the head and body of the little furry monkey, the little furry
monkey opened its eyes and looked around at the gods, showing a cute and lively
attitude. It was like rain falling on a long-drought field, and life returned
to the little woolly monkey.
The God of Wind was extremely happy. He
thanked the great god Brahma and immediately blew the wind of life to the three
realms. It was vast and fluttering, washing away all filth and disease, and the
world regained its vitality.
The great god Brahma turned to the gods and
said: "You must favor this furry child so that the wind god will be
happy."
After listening to the command of the great
god Brahma, all the gods came forward one after another and made a wish to the
little hairy monkey:
Shakti Indra gave the little hairy monkey a
lotus garland and promised that his vajra would never hurt the little hairy
monkey again;
The God of the Sun bestowed upon the little
hairy monkey extraordinary energy and a classic, enabling him to possess wisdom
and the most outstanding eloquence;
The God of Life bestows eternal life on the
little hairy monkey;
The King of Hell gave the little hairy
monkey a gift that he would never get sick.
The other gods also declared that their
various magic staffs and weapons could not harm the little hairy monkey.
Because the left cheek of the little hairy
monkey was broken, the gods named him Hanuman, which means "big-jawed monkey".
They hoped that his handsome appearance would not be affected by this injury.
After that, the gods drifted away with the
great god Brahma.
When Agudengba told the donkey the mythical
story of the coming of the monkey, he happily sang a song called "Song of
the Coming of the Monkey":

Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
