Agudumba tells the donkey the mythical story about Rama's marriage. This
story is a little sad.
Agudenba said:
Rama is the seventh incarnation of the great god Vishnu. Rama returned
to his country after his marriage. After some time, Jikayi, the concubine of
the King of Ten Chariots, received an invitation from his brother Yudaqi to let
her son Bharata go to their country to stay for a while. Bharata accepted the
invitation and took Sadaluna with him. It was Lakshmana’s biological brother
who left Kosala.
After Bharata left, King Ten Chariots felt that his son Rama was upright
and brave, possessed all the virtues of people, and also had great talents. He
was already old. It would be great if he could see young Rama crowned as king.
What a happy thing, and I can die without regrets.
So the ten chariot kings held a meeting, hoping to make Rama the king.
This proposal was unanimously approved by all the ministers and Brahman saints,
and everyone praised Rama's talents and virtues on the spot.
The King of Ten Chariots happily asked Rishi Jiyu to prepare for the
initiation ceremony, and Rama would be crowned the next day.
The kingdom was full of joy. The citizens of Ayodha were very excited at
the thought of Rama becoming king. Village residents also came to the capital
to prepare to watch Rama's enthronement ceremony.
The King of Ten Chariots even invited kings of other countries on the
earth and Brahman saints to attend the coming-of-age ceremony of his son Rama.
At the same time, the King of Ten Chariots summoned Rama and told Rama
the reason why he wanted him to be crowned: It turned out that the King of Ten
Chariots had had a nightmare recently, dreaming that his star palace was
invaded by heavenly dogs. The King of Ten Chariots was worried about his
misfortune, so He hoped to crown Rama as soon as possible and removed Rama's
younger brother, Bharata, because although Bharata was upright and kind, he was
afraid of any changes and that his brothers would turn against each other for
the throne, so he made this plan. When the sun, moon and ghosts meet, it is an
auspicious day for ascending to the throne.
Rama and his brother Lakshmana visited Kosaliya and Queen Sumitara. Rama
informed them of the good news and asked them to prepare the items needed for
the enthronement ceremony. Rama also vowed to marry his brother Lakshmana
shared the throne.
Both queens were very happy and blessed the brothers Rama and Lakshmana.
Rama also began fasting with his wife Sita and held sacrifices to Narayana and
Shiva in preparation for his ascension to the throne.
However, some people are still unhappy. Another wife of the King of Ten
Chess, Jigayi, has a hunchbacked slave girl named Mandala. Mandala was puzzled
by people's joy, why people were so happy, and what on earth the king of ten
chariots was going to do.
When Mandala heard that Rama was going to be the king, he was furious
and immediately ran to Jighayi. However, Jighayi was very happy and gave
Mandala exquisite and gorgeous jewelry to reward her for bringing good news to
herself. .
Mandala was furious and said to Jighayi: "I came here to tell you
this bad news, but you still want to give me any jewelry! Rama has become the
king, what will your son Bharata do?! He doesn’t love you anymore. He lies and
deceives you because he only loves Kosalya and wants to destroy your son
Bharata!"
Jijiayi replied: "In my opinion, Rama is no different from his
biological son. He knows the etiquette, abides by the law, and follows Bodhidharma.
I am very happy that Rama can be empowered and enthroned."
Mandala then said many threatening words: "Prince Rama will become
the king. Once he becomes the king, his mother will be the Queen Mother. You
and the second prince Bharata will have nothing in this court. Rama Bharata
will be killed, and you will be kicked out of the palace and excluded from the
royal family forever. Now quickly find a way to prevent Rama from being
crowned, otherwise your Bharata will surely perish! Seeing that you two are
going to suffer, Think of a way quickly!"
Mandala kept chattering in Jigayi's ears.
Jigayi had long been dissatisfied with Rama being the crown prince. She
wanted her son Bharat to inherit the throne and make her the queen mother. Now
that Mandala said this, she was anxious, hateful, and helpless. She said:
"Rama is the eldest son, and the king has made the decision to let him
ascend the throne today. What else can I do now?"
With so many threats, Jigayi became panicked and asked Mandala,
"How can we stop this?"
At this time, the slave girl Mandala came close to Jigayi and said:
"You once went to the battlefield with the king to participate in the
battle between the gods and the asuras. The King of Ten Chariots was injured by
the sword there. It was you who saved his life. He You have been given two
requests, and now it’s time to tell him. My good queen, you once told me that
the king himself promised you two graces. How could you forget? Now you can ask
him to fulfill these requests. Two graces. Let him banish Rama to the forest
for fourteen years and ask Bharata to succeed him. When Rama comes back, your
son will have established his feet."
Jigayi remembered. That was when the King of Ten Chess came back after
being seriously injured in a battle. Jijiayi stayed up all night, bandaging him
with medicine and taking good care of him. After the injury healed, the king
promised her two graces, but she said she would ask him for them when she
needed time.
Jigayi was completely confused by Mandala, so he did as she said. He
also said that if he succeeded, he would reward Mandala heavily, so the two
entered the palace of the King of Ten Chariots.
So, when the king of ten chariots came to Jijiayi's palace that night,
the king of ten chariots loved him very much as the queen. Jijiayi asked the
king to fulfill his promise and fulfill the two things he had promised her.
grace. The King of Ten Chess said: "Just tell me, I will definitely
satisfy your request."
Jigayi took off all his gorgeous jewelry and clothes and lay naked on
the ground. When the king asked the queen, Jigayi shamelessly said: "My
first wish is to let Bharata take my place." Rama ascends the throne; my
second wish is to banish Rama to the forest for fourteen years."
The king of ten chariots was stunned. God, what kind of requirements are
these! It's more terrifying and cruel than taking his life or taking out his
heart and liver! But he had to agree to her request. He had fallen into the
trap set by Jigai and could not extricate himself. After hearing this, the king
of ten chariots immediately fainted and fell to the ground as if he was struck
by five thunders.
After the King of Ten Chariots woke up, he was in a trance, his liver
and gallbladder were broken, and he said angrily: "You evil-hearted woman,
why do you want to exile my Rama? Rama loves you and me very much. I am really
blind! How can I banish my Rama?" You, a snake-hearted woman, got
married!"
But Jigayi hardened his heart and refused to change his mind, saying,
"Today, either you will exile Rama, or I will die here."
The old King of Ten Chariots was so angry that he fainted twice, but his
oath could not be broken. King of Ten Chariots gave up all his dignity and
begged Jigayi, but Jigayi was hard-hearted and refused to let Rama go.
After Agudengba told the donkey to this point, Agudengba sang a Lankan
song "Love Hate":
what is love
Don't think that love is love
Affection does not mean love
Love is not love either
ugly woman
Treat love as a game
evil woman
Treat love as a money
opportunity
shameless woman
Treat love as a ladder to fame
and fortune
Snake-hearted woman
No love for her husband
Such a woman
Found all over the world
Sadly
There is it beside you
When you submit to a woman
like this
It means your love has gone
bad
Your name will be shamed by
history
All your profits will be wiped
out
when you lose your head
Marry such a woman as your
wife
Love will soon fall apart
Love is no longer sentimental
Love hates unbearable
love hate
I hate that I was blind in the
first place
Mistaking love for honey
love hate
Hate the loss of humanity in
this world
Unmarried infertility is no
longer news
Love and hate
Extreme joy brings sorrow
