Magic Cow Mahisha
Mr. Niu met Agudenba who was traveling in India. He said to Agudenba:
Before I first arrived in India, I thought that Indians always regarded cows as
gods. But after arriving in India, I realized that although India is still
There are still countries where "cow" is worshiped, but tracing back
to the origin of the god of Hinduism, it is actually clear where it is: the cow
is the mount of Shiva, the god of destruction, not Brahma, the creator god, nor
Vishnu, the guardian god. Shiva, the God of Destruction, is not just
destruction in the Chinese sense. Even if you have never read Indian mythology,
you will know that Shiva's destruction is to bring about new creation. If
nothing is broken, nothing can be established; only when something is old can
something new be established. Indians have had this concept for a long time.
When low-end civilization is destroyed by high-end civilization, it will be
"progressed". Civilization is the rebirth after destruction.
Lord Niu told Agudemba: Shiva's divinity is quite complex, and in some
ways is similar to Zeus. In the myth of Shiva, the cow is not an important
role. There are also magic cows in India. Oh, and the monkey god, Sun Wukong
and the Bull Demon King may have become sworn sworn friends in India.
Agudumba asked: I heard that the magic cow in India is called Mahisha,
which seems to mean buffalo?
Lord Niu said to Agudengba: Mahisha is the leader of the Asura tribe. If
you say this, you will know that the Indian magic cow does not have only two
hands like humans. Similarly, Mahisha is not a imprisoned son of the curse, but
one of the leaders of the Asura tribe who is fierce and powerful and has
outstanding military exploits.
However, there are many Hindu stories about Mahisha after he won the
battle. The main ones are of course singing and dancing to seize the original
god's mount. What's even better is that he used his horns to dig into the
ground and dig mountains, as if he was looking for something. Perhaps Mahisha's
digging in the ground was like Shen Nong's taste of herbs, both of which were
an act of searching for resources. Mr. Niu said.
Lord Niu told Agudenba the mythical story about Mahisha:
Because Mahisha was too arrogant, the gods created a goddess to fight
Mahisha. This thrilling battle was probably similar to the battle between Sun
Wukong and Erlang Shen. After all, Mahisha is also a bull demon. In short,
Mahisha was killed by the goddess created by the gods.
Then the goddess continued to fight with King Asura, and King Asura was
more advanced than the Bull Demon. When the goddess was almost defeated, the
Dark Goddess was born from her body. The Dark Goddess is not only powerful
enough to destroy the Asuras, but even the three main gods are threatened.
Compared with the Chinese and Greek narratives about the Minotaur,
Hinduism has more causes and consequences. What can be noticed is that the
tauren are not the main god class. They are very powerful, but they are
probably just the tool man class. Compared with Mahisha, Chiyou may be a combat
robot.
Chinese legend: The Yellow Emperor built a drum to outwit the Minotaur.
China only remembers two wars. Huangdi was very capable and Chao would win.
But in Indian records, Indians legend: The gods built another fighting
robot to defeat the Minotaur. The war between devas and asuras is endless, with
each side winning or losing. This makes people feel that Indians are more
honest.
Agudenba smiled: If Indians are
so honest, what does it mean for Mahisha to be made into a bull demon? These
myths and legends seem to be relatively rich and complete, and Indian gods also
have almost unlimited power. However, that is only a record left by the winner,
so that it can break the sky. Turn legendary myths into "true
records" of history.
After listening to Mr. Niu's narration, Agudengba sang the "Song of
God Creation" in the Snowy Land in reflection:
The great
sufferings and tribulations of life,
Not everyone
deserves to be cursed,
Because after
suffering,
Only then can we
realize:
God did not
create man;
God is man's
creation.
Homo sapiens who
created myths,
Always claiming
to be superhuman,
He is the Son of
God,
He is the
incarnation of God,
To deceive the
ignorant public,
Creating gods
becomes creating blessings.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
