Brahma's Regret
After another
thousand years, strangely enough, after vowing to practice, Uma's dark skin
gradually transformed into a bright, slightly golden complexion.
The old donkey
told Agudengba the story of the snow mountain goddess Uma’s practice. After
thousands of years, strangely enough, after Uma vowed to practice, her dark
skin gradually transformed into a bright, slightly golden complexion.
The old donkey
told Agudemba: After the great god Brahma heard about this incident, he was
very excited. He decided to go to Mount Kailasa to meet Shiva in person.
Because at that time the three realms fell into chaos, the sky showed strange
phenomena, and everything was blazing.
The great god
Brahma came to Kailasa Mountain, and the current situation of Kailasa Mountain
is also extremely hot.
The sacred bull
Nandi, who saw Brahma coming, was guarding outside the temple. The white sacred
bull Nandi was Shiva's mount. It saw Brahma and immediately ran out to prevent
Brahma from visiting Shiva.
The sacred cow
Nandi said to Brahma: "Due to the disturbance of the God of Love and the
God of Spring, the Lord Shiva does not want to meet anyone now. Even you, the
great god Brahma, cannot enter the temple."
Nandi looked at
Brahma and said: "Lord Brahma, you want the God of Love and Spring to help
facilitate the marriage between Shiva and Uma. Now it seems that this is in
vain and has additional complications."
"If the Lord
does not receive anyone, can I ask you to convey emergencies in the three
worlds?"
Seeing this,
Brahma could only entrust the sacred cow to inform Shiva how critical the
situation between the three realms was.
Brahma told the
sacred cow that the three realms are already in turmoil and have encountered
Uma's practice disaster. Only Shiva can save all living beings, and ask Shiva
if he is willing to meet Brahma.
After hearing
this, the sacred cow immediately walked into the temple and explained to Shiva
the reason why Brahma came.
"Nandi,
please invite Brahma to come in and see me. It seems that he has caused trouble
again." Shiva said to the sacred cow.
Brahma finally
entered the Shiva Temple. After Brahma bowed to Shiva to show respect, he began
to describe the current situation.
The great god
Brahma said to Shiva:
Since the Snow
Mountain Goddess Uma is the daughter of the mountain god, a series of severe
ascetic practices caused all living beings in the three realms to feel
extremely hot and burning pain. Especially what they endured in the heaven
realm was more painful than the punishments in the other two realms.
Brahma also knows
how this series of sufferings came about: Uma's penance created all of this.
Brahma went to
Mount Kailasa to meet Shiva:
"World
Honored Shiva, the current situation in the three worlds is controlled by
Taroga, and the more powerful gods are captured by Taroga. They come to see you
in order to pray for your protection. Now only you, the benevolent and supreme
one, can The crisis in the Three Realms has been saved."
Shiva closed his
eyes and sat in meditation without saying a word. Seeing this, Brahma became
uneasy. After bowing to Shiva again, he stood up in despair and planned to
return to heaven.
At this time,
Shiva opened his eyes, looked at Brahma who was disappointed and wanted to
return to heaven, and asked: "If you can no longer control the current
situation, what is the solution to everything?"
"Due to my
negligence, Taroga has an indestructible body. The only exception is that he
will only be defeated at the hands of your child, the World Honored One. All of
this is caused by my sin. I ask the World Honored One if you can communicate
with me. Uma, the daughter of the mountain god Himachal, got married and gave
birth to a baby to compete with her? And now Uma is also working hard to be
worthy of the position of the wife of the World Honored One. As a result, the
three realms are also punished, and all living beings are also suffering. The
burning pain..." Brahma's mouth trembled, fearing that he would make a
slip of the tongue and become ashes under the fire of Shiva's third eye.
After hearing
this, Shiva still closed his eyes and continued to sit in meditation.
When Brahma saw
this situation, he was fully informed of the cause of the matter, and after
bowing, he returned to heaven. In his heart he only expected all the miracles
to happen.
After Brahma
left, Shiva did not want to immediately help Brahma's request, but still cared
about his own practice. But at this time, He remembered that incident thousands
of years ago... That was what the great god Vishnu once said to Shiva:
"World
Honored One, if you firmly believe in the divine will of the Vedas: the entire
world and the universe are endless in the cycle of creation, operation and
destruction, then one day your beloved wife will definitely return to
you."
This is what
Vishnu said to Shiva when the body of Shiva's ex-wife Sati was broken into
fifty pieces.
"Sati, are
you... Uma, the daughter of the mountain god Himachal?" Shiva's heart was
also shaken by Vishnu's words back then.
The old donkey
told this story to Agudengba, and the old donkey sang the song "Sorrow of
Love" composed by Shiva:
Why does the
sadness of love torture me.
I stare fondly at
the past,
Will never forget
that time.
We once had an
oath of eternal love,
Said they would
never be separated from each other.
But your painful
tears,
What came out was
the sadness in my heart.
Even if I am a
great god, I will never be able to do anything.
Let's go back to
the past.
I can only give
you all my love,
Put it into the
thoughts and memories of practice.
My Satie, a
thousand years from now,
Uma suddenly
appeared in front of me,
Could it be that
Uma is your reincarnation?
That mixture of
sorrow and joy that no one understands,
Dandelions still
blooming in yellow.
We all love the
beauty of dandelions,
If we really had
a previous marriage,
How can you crush
our weak hearts?
Lost love in the
cold wind again.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
