Buddha's hometown
Guided
by crow Betty, Agudemba rode a donkey to Lumbini in Nepal.
A
Nepalese old man received Agudengba very warmly and fed Agudengba's donkey
fodder.
The
old man in Nepal is of yellow race, and the language he speaks is Newari, which
belongs to the Tibeto-Burman language family. The old man told Agudumba that
his name was Lavani.
Old
Lavani is very hospitable, friendly and enthusiastic, he has a warm smile for
everyone.
Old
Lavani opened a small restaurant in Lumbini. When introducing his restaurant to
Agudumba, he said: Most of the population in Nepal has strong religious
beliefs, so it can be considered a safe place. Violence can be seen all over
the world, and it is also seen sometimes in Nepal. However, Nepal has no record
of any aggressive fighting resulting in human death or property damage. Nepal
is a peaceful and safe travel destination. Nepalese people continue to live in
happiness and harmony even though the country's economy is facing many crises.
He smiled and said that the glowing faces of the people were the best
reflection.
Old
Lavani prepared rice for Agudengba. Some of the hand rice here is made of
lentil paste, and there are also some curry vegetables as ingredients. It is
one of Nepal's unique delicacies.
The
special delicacy here in Nepal is spring rolls, and the spring rolls here are
very different from Chinese spring rolls. Domestic spring rolls are generally
long, and they are filled with some vegetarian vegetables and some pork, while
local spring rolls are filled with Some fried vegetables and noodles are fried
in a pan. Of course, its appearance is different from that in China, and the
difference is quite big.
The
old man Lavani said: Nepalese people don’t eat beef because cattle are sacred;
they don’t eat pork because pigs are too dirty. So the spring rolls here do not
wrap pork or beef.
The
old man Lavani added: The dumplings here are also different from Chinese
dumplings. They have different shapes and different ways of making. They have a
Niva flavor. The dumplings here are sewn on the plate with leaves and then
dipped in them. Some curries, mixed with potatoes and side dishes, were very
delicious.
The
old man Lavani said most proudly: Lumbini is the birthplace of Sakyamuni, the
founder of Buddhism. "Lumbini" means "lovely" in Sanskrit.
Lumbini is the "hometown of Buddha", located at the junction of
southwest Nepal and India, in Rupandhi County, 360 kilometers away from
Kathmandu.
Agudengba
asked the old man Lavani: Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha Sakyamuni. It
should be said that Nepal is his hometown. Why do Indians claim that Buddhism
originated in India and is even recognized by some Western countries?
Old
Lavani said: Since the 6th century BC, some countries have appeared in Nepal.
The Kirat Dynasty was the first dynasty in the history of Nepal's Kathmandu
Valley. It ruled the Kathmandu Valley for about nine hundred years, but this
dynasty eventually It was overthrown by some people in Uttar Pradesh, India. In
other words, the power of the Kirat Dynasty was limited to the Kathmandu
Valley, let alone the area where Buddhism first spread in the Ganges River
Basin in northern and central India. In other words, Buddhism Place of origin,
so there is nothing wrong with saying that Buddhism originated in northern
India in ancient times. It can also be said that Buddha was born in Nepal, but
Buddhism originated in northern India. In fact, ancient India should be called
the South Asian subcontinent.
Old
Lavani added: Li Bai was born in Kyrgyzstan, and has always been considered a
Chinese poet. Because Kyrgyzstan, where Li Bai was born, belonged to the Tang
Dynasty of China, and Li Bai wrote Tang poetry after coming to mainland China,
there is nothing wrong with calling Li Bai a poet of the Tang Dynasty. Now,
although Li Bai's birthplace no longer belongs to China, it should be
understood that when Li Bai was born, the concept of Kyrgyzstan did not exist.
Therefore, there is still nothing wrong with calling Li Bai a Chinese poet. The
birthplace of Buddha and the origin of Buddhism are two different concepts.
The
old man Lavani impromptu sang the Buddhist song "Lumbini":
Go to Lumbini for spiritual practice
Bow before the Lord Buddha
Enlightenment of True Zen under the
Bodhi Tree
The world of Saha is vast and boundless
Flowers bloom and fall without
melancholy
Yunjuanyunshu not confused
Interpreting sadness inside and outside
dreams
Opening the Heavenly Eyes on the Way of
Cultivation
Seeing through the coldness and warmth
of human feelings
Pudu Cihang has faith
May all living beings be happy and I
may be healthy
Dharma boat with a destination in mind
