Secrets of Linga
Agudengba told
the story of the lingam to his donkey, Mahu. He said: "Don't think that I
am just making up stories for you out of boredom. This is an Indian myth that
has been passed down for thousands of years. Some people still worship this
lingam today." As a sacred object.”
Ma Hu, who was
riding a donkey, laughed: "People say donkeys are the stupidest. In fact,
there are people stupider than donkeys in the world. Mr. Agudenba, please
continue talking. I really want to know those people who are stupider than
donkeys." How stupid can people be?"
Agudumba
continues to tell the secrets about the Linga:
The great god
Shiva sacrificed his life for his beloved wife Sati. His incarnation Rudlo was
naked and danced a crazy dance of destruction in the ring of fire. The gods
used all their powers to curse the savage to lose his masculine characteristics
forever.
The savage
turned into a cloud of smoke under the curse and his lingam fell to the ground.
Because the savage is the incarnation of Shiva, this Linga is also the
reproductive root of Shiva. Linga is a sacred and majestic object.
Shiva, who lost
his masculine characteristics, made the whole world unbalanced, everything
became dead, and the weather began to become chaotic. The gods were afraid that
the world would be destroyed, so the group went to the gods Brahma and Vishnu
to seek answers, and told the two gods about the crazy wild man they
encountered in the forest.
The two gods
Brahma and Vishnu searched for a thousand years, but they still could not find
the end of the flaming pillar that burned the savages. So the two people,
exhausted both physically and mentally, returned to the starting point, only to
find that Shiva had already I don’t know how long it took to stand where I was.
Only then did
Brahma and Vishnu realize that the flaming pillar they saw was Shiva's Linga,
which was his male genitals.
Seeing this,
Brahma sighed and told his children of the gods: "Do you know that the
wild man you saw in the forest is Lord Shiva? Because after He lost his most
beloved wife Sati, Only when people are filled with grief and have nowhere to
vent their emotions can they turn into the madness you see, causing the world
to be destroyed again."
After hearing
what Brahma said, the gods learned that they had committed a heinous crime,
causing the almighty Lord Shiva to lose his masculine characteristics in the
blazing pillar. It was as if he had been sentenced to perform penance as a
ghost in the Asura world.
Everyone then
begged Brahma if he could come up with a solution so that Lord Shiva could
forgive them.
Brahma saw the
panic of the children of the gods and told them calmly: "As long as you
put away your anger against the wild man's behavior in the forest and re-create
a male characteristic, I will give the male a special name and call it
it." Linga. Every day, worship and revere the Linga, offer flowers and
fruits, and admire the Linga with the same spirit of worshiping Lord Shiva, and
the world will return to its original appearance."
After listening
to Brahma's words, the children of the gods reshaped a hard and beautiful Linga
out of hard stones, and worshiped and worshiped the Linga every day, rain or
shine. In the coming year, the day and night of the entire world will become
normal, and the four seasons will begin to rotate.
Just when the
first flower stamens bloomed in the Himalayas, Shiva appeared in front of the
gods again.
As soon as the
gods saw Lord Shiva appear, they all knelt down and worshiped in front of the
Lord. They told Shiva about their ignorant and rude sins, and hoped that the
Lord could forgive their sins. Seeing this, Shiva explained to the children of
the gods:
"At that
time, I was running naked through the woods, just looking for a way to relieve
the pain of my lust. The pain of losing my wife must be eliminated by
time."
After hearing
this, the gods all praised Shiva's practice method and praised the greatness of
Lord Shiva's asceticism.
Agudengba smiled
and said to the donkey Mahu: Until now, temples in India will enshrine lingams,
just like worshiping Lord Shiva. There is also the custom of worshiping Linga
in Southeast Asia.
Agudengba sang a
bizarre "Linga Song":
The great god Shiva means auspiciousness,
Linga represents the symbol of the great god.
The great gods Vishnu and Brahma,
Met a huge lingam.
So the two sides split up to look for each other,
The beginning and end of the lingam.
Vishnu is responsible for finding the end point,
He transformed into a wild boar,
Keep digging underground,
If you can’t find your goal, give up.
He knelt before Shiva,
Recognize Shiva as the real Brahman.
Brahma is responsible for finding the starting
point,
Transform into a swan,
He keeps flying upward,
Until I discovered the pandanus flower,
He asked Shuhua to give false testimony,
Proof that he had discovered the starting point.
The omniscient Shiva was angry;
He cursed Brahma for being shameless,
So that he will not be worshiped by all living
beings.
Shiva blessed Vishnu,
Let him be like himself,
Will be worshiped by all living beings.
According to Hindu thought,
The creation and destruction of the universe,
They all come from the same great god,
Shiva's lingam is representative.
Shiva temples across India,
There is also a Shiva shrine in the house,
The main thing worshiped is Linga.
But few worship the Shiva image.
The breast of the Shaktism,
Also wearing the lingam symbol.
Linga appears erect,
And with Yoni as the base,
That's a statue of female genitalia,
Symbolizes Shiva's wife.
The meaning of this coordination is:
The two natures of yin and yang are never
separated,
Interaction is the totality of all things.
It is recorded in Indian epics:
When Shiva was making love to his wife,
Once for a thousand years,
Indian civilization was born from this.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
