Shiva's madness
Agudengba told the donkey
Mahu a legendary story that shocked the world. It was a story about Linga. What
is Linga?
Agudenba said:
The great god Shiva died for
his beloved wife Sati, and his incarnation Rudra began to dance a sad and
mournful dance of destruction in the ring of fire.
At this time, the gods on
the side were also suffering from severe pain. The great god Vishnu noticed
that the situation was getting serious. If Shiva does not stop dancing and
continues, the whole universe will be destroyed along with His sorrow.
In order to stop Shiva's
mourning dance, the great god Vishnu cut Sati's body into fifty pieces using
divine magic.
Shiva was dumbfounded when
he saw his beloved wife's body broken into fifty pieces. The ferocious Rudra
appearance that Shiva had originally displayed suddenly disappeared. Shiva then
stopped dancing too.
Vishnu saw that Shiva had
returned to calmness and reason, and then he said to Shiva:
"World Honored One, if
you firmly believe in the divine will of the Vedas: the entire world and the
universe are endless in the cycle of creation, operation and destruction, then
one day your beloved wife will definitely return to you."
After Vishnu finished
speaking, he scattered the fifty pieces of Sati's body across India. The place
where the body parts of Sati fell immediately became a holy place.
After losing his beloved
wife Sati, Shiva was devastated. After listening to Vishnu's advice, he
returned to the mountains of the Himalayas to practice hard, and warned himself
that he must practice to the selfless state of being ruthless and desireless. ,
Never encounter grief for love again.
Away from the gods, Shiva
continued his severe asceticism, but his longing for his wife increased day by
day, reaching an unbearable level. With nowhere to vent his emotions, he began
to become mentally disordered and became a crazy god.
Shiva, naked with his face
smeared with mud, began to shuttle between the Himalayas, scurrying through the
mountains and forests like a wild monkey.
On this day, Shiva was still
crazy and running freely in the forest. At this time, he saw the children of
the great god Brahma, that is, the gods, taking their wives to gather happily
in the forest. The sweet scenes stimulated Shiva. , making Shiva run towards
the gods completely crazy.
Shiva transformed into a
savage, sometimes screaming and roaring, and sometimes dancing with teeth and
claws. Because he was naked, his rough dance was sexually suggestive, teasing
the wives of the gods, but the wives of the gods didn't know why, and watched
intently. After dancing with the savage, they all began to take off their
clothes and danced a harem coitus dance with the savage!
At this time, the gods on
the side were all angry when they saw that their beloved wives were dancing in
an inferior way with this savage who suddenly appeared.
Shiva's crazy appearance
made the gods only believe that he was a wild man who wandered out of nowhere,
but they had no idea that he was the incarnation of Lord Shiva. So the gods
used all their powers and began to curse together: let this savage lose his
masculine characteristics forever!
At this time, the savage
turned into a ball of smoke and disappeared among the wives of the gods. The
wives of the gods suddenly woke up and saw each other naked, and hurriedly ran
to find their own clothes to put on.
At this time, the gods
walked to the smoke where the savages disappeared, and only saw a Linga falling
to the ground.
Agudengba said to the donkey
Mahu: Do you know what a lingam is?
The donkey is not a smart
animal, so he naturally can't answer.
Agudumba smiled: Linga, that
is the symbol of maleness. Donkey, I can't blame you for being stupid, because
in Indian mythology, Linga is actually written as the protagonist of the story.
Maybe it is a bit ridiculous, so no one will think of what this thing is.
Agudemba continued:
Because the savage is the
incarnation of Shiva, this Linga is also the reproductive root of Shiva.
Linga means "sign"
in Sanskrit, and the name Shiva means "auspiciousness" in India.
Therefore, Shiva's lingam represents the "auspicious symbol of the
universe" and is therefore a sacred and majestic object.
At this time, Shiva, who
lost his masculine characteristics, caused the entire world to become
unbalanced. There was no day and night, no four seasons, and everything in the
world became dead. At the same time, the weather in the world began to become
chaotic. When the gods saw this, they were very afraid that the world would be destroyed,
so the group took the Linga dropped by Shiva to find Brahma and Vishnu for
answers, and told them about the crazy savage they met in the forest. Two gods.
Brahma and Vishnu saw the
appearance of this linga, looked at each other, and remembered a major event
that year:
At that time, the two gods
Brahma and Vishnu had a quarrel over who was the master of the divine world.
Just when they were arguing, a flaming pillar of fire suddenly stood between
the two of them. The two of them looked at the flaming pillar that was about to
burn down the entire universe. The bottom of the flaming pillar was even about
to burn Asura. A hole was burned out of the door of the world, and the survival
of the entire universe was at stake. The two decided to find out the source of
the burning flame as soon as possible and put out the soaring pillar fire.
At that time, Brahma
immediately transformed into a swan and flew to the top of the pillar to find
the source of burning fire; Vishnu transformed into a wild boar and dug below
the pillar to find the source of burning fire.
However, the two gods Brahma
and Vishnu have been searching for thousands of years, but they have not found
the source of the flaming pillar. Could this flaming pillar be Shiva's Linga?
Agudengba sang a
"Boring Song":
boring boring,
The world is full of boredom.
Boring people wow,
Will make up boring myths,
The mythical god of boredom,
The lingam will be regarded as a sacred object,
Let the ignorant believers worship.
Boring people wow,
The lingam will be built into a stone pillar,
Standing in broad daylight,
A fool can still carry a lingam,
Parading the streets and holding sacrificial activities.
Boring people wow,
Will not admit that I am stupid,
On the contrary, they show off their faith and loyalty,
As long as nonsense becomes a myth,
All living beings will kowtow and kneel.
boring boring,
The world is full of boredom.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
