Shiva, the bisexual god
When
Agudenba traveled to India riding his donkey Mahu, he happened to meet an old
acquaintance, the old donkey. The old donkey was leading a team of donkeys to
transport goods to an Indian temple.
During the
communication with Agudengba, the old donkey told many stories about Indian
mythology. The old man said: Who do you think is the most powerful god? In my
opinion, the most powerful one is actually the Snow Mountain Goddess.
At this
time, a crow flew on the shoulder of Mahu, the donkey. He raised his voice and
said: No, no, the most powerful god is Shiva!
The old
donkey was very unhappy when he heard the crow. But he did not argue with the
crow. He just said to Agudengba: I have completed this shipment and am now
ready to leave India and go to Nepal. I hope we still have a chance to meet.
The old
donkey said goodbye to Agudengba and went to Nepal.
Where is
Agudenba going next? He hasn't made up his mind yet.
The crow
said to Agudengba: My name is Betty. If you don't hate me, I suggest you go to
Mount Kailasa, which is the sacred Mount Kailash in Ali, Tibet, China. I was
getting ready to fly back to my homeland. I can be your tour guide along the
way. I know all the myths and legends here, so you won't feel lonely.
Agudemba
did not object to Crow Betty's suggestion. Under the guidance of Crow Betty, he
rode his donkey Mahu on his way back home.
Crow Betty
said to Agudemba along the way: The Chinese have many myths and legends, but
the Chinese are always unfamiliar with Indian myths. For example, the great god
Shiva is often mistaken because Shiva's name seems to be more feminine. Again,
Shiva is a male god, but Shiva is also a bisexual god. His female body is
called Shakti. It is the female Shiva, but to be more precise it is called
Shakti. A lot of people don't understand these things.
Shiva is
one of the three main gods of Hinduism. As the god of destruction and
destruction, Shiva naturally has the strongest fighting power among the gods.
He practiced yoga assiduously at Jivasa Peak in the Himalayas all year round,
and gained the most profound knowledge and magical wisdom through the most
rigorous asceticism and the most thorough contemplation. At the same time, he
also has a powerful army, all of which are composed of monsters with terrifying
shapes. And his third eye on his forehead is a weapon more terrifying than a
nuclear bomb. This eye is always closed tightly. Once it is opened, it will
spew out the fire of wrath that destroys the world and destroys everything it
sees. Even gods are not immune.
Shiva is
also full of self-sacrifice. When the Goddess Ganges descended from the
snow-capped heaven, Shiva personally took the water with his head in order to
prevent the water from being too strong and drowning all living beings. He let
the Ganges flow through his hair for thousands of years, and then flowed to the
world after being buffered.
In
addition, Shiva rides a white bull on his crotch, and the trident he always
holds in his hand is a symbol of lightning, which can drive storms; the black
bow and arrow on his back can spread plague. The wrapped cobra can quickly rush
towards the enemy and feed its poison.
With these
magical weapons, Shiva fought in all directions, killed countless demons, and
destroyed the three cities of Asura.
Agudemba
had already heard these myths that Betty the crow told Agudemba, so he was not
interested in them.
Agudemba
said to crow Betty: Can you make a fair evaluation of Shiva? I need your
answer.
Betty the
crow flapped her wings and sang "The Great Shiva":
Oh, the great Lord Shiva
You are a hero among the gods.
You have a dual character of good and evil,
Your temper is violent and irritable,
You are always gentle and kind;
You are the terrible demon king,
He is also the loving Lord of all.
Oh, the great Lord Shiva
You accept the worship of the world.
Since you are a symbol of wisdom,
and the idol of fools;
You are an Avenger,
Also a patron saint;
Since you are an ideal man,
You are an ascetic.
O great Lord Shiva,
You are the God of Destruction in the Three
Realms.
Your rage is shocking to the world,
It will make the whole universe tremble.
But when you become gentle,
Extremely emotional,
That's a generous favor.
You are still the dancing king of the three
realms,
Create two kinds of dance, hard and soft.
O great Lord Shiva,
If I could describe you in one sentence,
That is:
Absolutely strong and absolutely cool!
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
