Kama, God of Love
As long as Kama, the God of Love, shoots an
arrow, he can make the person hit by the arrow fall into lust and love to the
point of being unable to extricate himself. Kama, who possesses this ability,
wanted to test whether he had the ability as Brahma said, so Kama fired arrows
at Brahma and several gods. As a result, the person who was hit by the arrow
found it difficult to resist lust.
After Shiva learned the news, he angrily
rebuked the gods who had been hit by the arrow, saying that they had acted
against heaven and violated the principles that gods should have. Kama, the god
of love, was also frightened by Shiva.
In desperation, the god of love asked
Brahma for help. Brahma and the god of love approached Vishnu for help. Vishnu
told Brahma and the God of Love to seek help from the Mother of the World, and
there should be a solution to all this.
The Mother of the World agreed to help, and
she was reincarnated as the daughter of Takshasa. The reincarnated goddess was
called Sati, the previous life of the Indian god Parvati.
After a long time, Sati also grew up from a
baby girl to a graceful beauty.
One day, Brahma, Vishnu, and Takshasa each
took their wives to Mount Kailasa in the Himalayas to find Lord Shiva.
When the gods saw Lord Shiva, they danced,
saluted and praised the Lord. Shiva was very happy to see this situation.
When Shiva saw the gods coming to see Him,
he asked: If you have nothing to do, come to Kailasa. May I ask if the gods
encountered any difficulties when they came? This Mount Kailasa is located deep
in the Himalayas, where Shiva practices asceticism.
Upon hearing that Shiva asked first, Brahma
said: Great God, you are in charge of destruction, and I am in charge of
creation. If you don't destroy more asuras, how can more creatures be born in
the world? And the birth of living beings into the world is to be created
through the birth of human beings. If people want to have children, they must
first get married. Vishnu and I are already married. Great God, if you can get
married, it is also the wish of the gods!
Seeing this, Shiva closed his eyes and
responded: I am an ascetic and have no great interest in sexual indulgence. But
I will not refuse the wishes of you gods. But, which woman would be willing to
accept my powerful power and practice with me?
So Brahma told Shiva that Sati, the
daughter of Dakshasa, was willing to make vows and conduct precepts for Shiva.
Please ask Lord Shiva to accept this beautiful woman who is willing to practice
with you. Seeing this, Shiva agreed to the wishes of the gods.
Shiva married Sati. Sati followed Shiva on
Mount Kailasa to practice life.
From this point of view, Shiva should
actually have a very direct love for Sati, otherwise how could he be moved to
marry Sati? If there is no love, he would not be able to get married casually,
not to mention Shiva's stubborn character?
Kama, the god of love, was temporarily detached
from his troubles.
Saadi, the daughter of Tuosha, fell into
deep love. She sang "Love Boat" happily:
Let
your heart be filled with happy sunshine,
Singing
cheerful songs and sailing into the distance,
Love
does not require timidity and cowardice.
Look
at life with a beautiful heart,
Only
by combining strength and softness can we respect each other.
The
vitality of life depends on vitality.
The
river of life is still very long,
Don't
change the direction of the flow in the harbor,
The
love boat surges with the water of the river of love.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
