Creator God Brahma
Brahma, the creator god, is sometimes said
to be the chief of the gods, the architect of the universe and the guardian of
the world. His status is equivalent to Pangu in China. Pangu is said to be the
god of creation by the Chinese, while Brahma is said to be the god of creation
by the Indians. He was hatched from the golden egg of the universe floating in
the ocean of chaos, and he created the world.
Brahma is depicted by Indians as
red-skinned, wearing white robes, with four arms, holding a spoon, a rosary, a
bow, or a pitcher. And his most striking feature is that he has 4 heads. Brahma
originally had five heads, but once he was arguing with his classmate Shiva
about who was the creator of the universe, and the two refused to give in.
Finally, Shiva was enraged and in a rage, he cut off one of Brahma's heads,
leaving Brahma with only four heads.
Brahma is dignified and wise, and is
dressed in gorgeous gold clothes. Brahma's mount is the swan, which is actually
his own incarnation. The Erawan Buddha that Asians are passionate about is said
to be Brahma, another image of Brahma.
One day, Brahma told the god of love, Kama:
You have the ability to shoot arrows at people, and you can make the person hit
by the arrow fall into lust and love to the point of being unable to extricate
themselves. This made Kama question Brahma's words a bit, because it was like
an arrow shot by Cupid, the familiar god of love.
Kama, who possesses this ability, wanted to
test whether he had the ability as Brahma said, so Kama fired arrows at Brahma
and several gods. As a result, after Brahma was shot by an arrow, he couldn't
resist his lust and fell in love with his daughter.
Later, the other gods who discovered that
something was wrong immediately prayed silently for Lord Shiva to appear and
stop Brahma's apostasy.
After Shiva learned the news, he returned
to heaven and scolded Brahma and other gods who were hit by arrows, saying that
they had acted against heaven. It goes against the principles that gods should
have.
Because of Shiva's deterrence, Brahma and
the gods defeated the passion in their hearts. At the same time, Brahma
believed that his shameful behavior was all caused by the God of Love! So He
found the God of Love, and said to the God of Love viciously: You have
embarrassed me so much, and I tell you, you will be burned to ashes by the
divine fire emitted by the third eye of Lord Shiva!
The God of Love heard Brahma casting a
curse on himself, and quickly told Brahma: You created me to control the love
and desire of all creatures in the universe, but now you blame me for the
mistakes made by love and desire.
After listening to the God of Love's
excuse, Brahma thought for a while and realized that this was wrong, but he
couldn't change it because the curse had already been spoken.
So Brahma added: As long as Lord Shiva gets
married, you can avoid death.
After all, Shiva is immersed in his own
practice and has no desires or hopes. It would be impossible for Him to have a
favorable impression of other gods unless his arrows hit Shiva.
But isn't it an act of suicide to shoot
Shiva with your own arrow? Once discovered it will be burned to ashes.
The God of Love is very, very distressed
about this matter. No matter which way, it seems that he can't escape the
ending of being burned to ashes.
Having reached the point where he would
still be burned to ashes even if he thought about it, the God of Love had no
choice but to ask Brahma for help.
Brahma was also troubled by the God of
Love. He thought for a long time but could not think of a good solution.
Kama melancholy sang "Arrow of
Love":
When
people are lonely and lonely,
Emotions
will be the most fragile,
Inexplicable
sadness,
Make
you feel sentimental.
Beware
of the arrows of love,
may
have ejaculated on you,
If
you don't pay attention,
Tragedy
happened at this time.
Love
is not a game,
Don't
let your fantasies be taken seriously,
Romance
does not mean eternity,
Infatuation
is a trap in life.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
