Bereaved dog

When Agudenba was chatting with hunter Chu Sanxing, Chu Sanxing asked Agudenba: Chinese people respect Confucius very much because Confucius advocates etiquette and morality, and he is regarded as a saint. Why is it that in a country that advocates benevolence, justice and morality, there are so many gangsters?

Agudengba said to Chu Sanxing:

With the gradual development of society and the materialistic world gradually affecting people's hearts, we find that there is more hypocrisy and less sincerity between people now. In the past, we usually praised honest people and considered them worthy of deep friendship. But today, what we look down upon the most is honest people.

Why does this happen? It's because people's psychology has changed. In the eyes of many people, the only way out is through conspiracy, and if you are too honest, you will only be bullied. For example, those evil people who are good at cheating and deceiving people are honest people. Perhaps, this is not the fault of the human heart, but the fault of the world. Because of the changes in the general environment and the gradual intensification of social competition, most people want to get to the top by any means necessary. This is the current situation.

When Agudengba was chatting with hunter Chu Sanxing, the little boy was also sitting aside.

Agudemba said to the little boy: In order to save a bird, you lost your decisive decision. When you officially started to rescue the bird, the poor bird was injured by a wild cat. Your kindness and love are in line with Confucius' philosophy of benevolence, which is "doing your duty without giving in", but I know that you have not read "The Analects" or even know Confucius. Your kindness comes from nature, not from Confucius' teachings.

Agudengba turned to Chu Sanxing and said: The Chinese claim to be a country of etiquette and regard Confucius as their holy ancestor. If I want to answer your question, I have to start with Confucius.

Confucius (September 28, 551 BC - April 11, 479 BC), whose surname was Kong, whose given name was Qiu, and whose courtesy name was Zhongni, was born in Liyi, Song Dynasty (now Xiayi County, Shangqiu City, Henan Province). He was born in Zouyi (now Qufu City, Shandong Province) of the State of Lu during the Spring and Autumn Period. Confucius traveled around the world with his disciples for fourteen years. In his later years, he revised the Six Classics, namely "Poetry", "Book", "Ritual", "Music", "Yi" and "Spring and Autumn". Ranked first among the "Top Ten Cultural Celebrities in the World" by UNESCO. Throughout his life, Confucius revised "Poems" and "Books", settled "Rites" and "Music", prefaced "Book of Changes" and wrote "Spring and Autumn". Others say that the Spring and Autumn Annals were written by an unknown person and revised by Confucius. Therefore, Confucius is known as a famous thinker, educator and politician in China.

According to legend, Confucius had three thousand disciples, including seventy-two sages. After Confucius's death, his disciples and his subsequent disciples recorded the words, deeds, sayings and thoughts of Confucius and all his disciples, and compiled them into the Confucian classic "The Analects of Confucius". Confucius' Confucianism has had a profound impact on China and the world, and he is revered as the founder of Confucianism.

Agudengba smiled and said to Chu Sanxing and the little boy:

The Confucius I want to tell you today is not a saint in the eyes of those Confucius believers. In my eyes, Confucius is a sanctimonious loser.

When I was a child, I heard a famous saying from Confucius: "Only women and villains are difficult to raise. Those who are far away will be inferior, and those who are close will be resentful." Thinking about it now, it makes people roll on the floor laughing. In fact, if you study this sentence carefully, you can get a taste of it. According to current accounts, Confucius sighed solemnly and regretfully: Women, if you treat them better, they will no longer know who they are. If you want you to give them a house or a car, just ignore them, and they will cry and cry again. Yes, hey, it’s better to stay away...

If we recall Confucius carefully, he also had other cunning, worldly, and show-off sides.

One year, Ziyou, a student of Confucius, became the mayor of Wucheng in the state of Lu. Ziyou is a good comrade. After coming to power, he did not engage in political performance projects and image projects, but carried out activities to emphasize five points and four beauties, focusing on spiritual civilization. In the streets and alleys, there are either bands singing or loudspeakers playing light music. The purpose is to cultivate and cultivate the sentiments of the people. When the people are full and listen to music, they will no longer want to vent their excess energy by fighting, and it will also reduce the trouble for the police comrades, right? Ziyou has always remembered the words of Master Confucius. Confucius was particularly wise and had golden sentences. Once when Confucius was giving a lecture, he said: A gentleman will love others after learning rituals and music, and a villain will obey orders after learning rituals and music. On this day, Confucius went to Wucheng to play and found that the streets and alleys were full of music. When he thought about it, he knew that Ziyou must have used the tricks he taught. He was quite ecstatic, feeling like a fairy from heaven. This drift was not stable for a while. When he saw Ziyou, he said with a smile: Ziyou, you are such a nerd, why do you need to go to such trouble to deal with these little people? How can you kill a chicken with a knife? What a waste of our taxpayers’ money!

Ziyou was stunned. He didn't expect Master Kong, who usually talks about great principles, to say such shameless words.

Confucius knew that he had said the wrong thing, especially in such a public place. He was so anxious that he suddenly got wise, pulled his face, cracked the corners of his mouth, laughed boldly and said: You said it very well. I just tried you, you are still so smart and kind, you did not let me down!

It can be seen from this incident that Confucius is not only an idol with serious eyebrows and gentle manners in the Confucius Temple, but also a cautious actor. He can do the same things that ordinary people do for image. After all, people are afraid of being famous and pigs are afraid of being strong. If you are not careful, your saliva can drown you.

How to respond beautifully in a critical moment and regain your face is a science. Confucius was an upright person. The so-called uprightness meant that he always emphasized straightforwardness. He was embarrassed to teach such dishonorable things to his students. As for how to do it...this, this, Buddha said, it cannot be said, it cannot be said, it would be wrong to say it.

Agudengba continued: Yang Huo was a famous corrupt official in the Lu State and a social celebrity. He really wanted to win over Confucius, but he wanted to see Confucius several times, but Confucius turned him away. On this day, Yang Huo went to Confucius's house. Confucius pretended not to be there and hid himself away from anyone. Yang Huo left only the ham and left. At that time, ham was a noble gift for people in the upper class to get along with each other. The hand left by Yang Huo showed that, Kong Laoer, you can do whatever you want. If you don’t see me, I want to see you. You look down on me. Lao Tzu, I still give you face.

Confucius was not willing to return to Baiyang Huo at all. Yang Huo is not a good guy. If the paparazzi secretly took a photo and scribbled on it, it would definitely make the headlines the next day. Of course, he was happy to be in the headlines, but to be in the headlines with such a person with a bad reputation would be a waste of time. But he didn't want to offend anyone. After thinking about it, Confucius came up with what he thought was a foolproof way, which was to go back and pay homage to Yang Huo when he was out.

That's quite hypocritical. I hate others but don't dare to say it openly, for fear of offending others, and if I don't worship, I'm afraid that others will say I'm rude, so I have to do some secretive things. The old master definitely got off to a bad start.

By the way, people in the world reported that Yang Huo was not at home today. Confucius hurriedly walked out of the door, fearing that he would be late. But Forrest Gump damn said, fate is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get. Confucius met Yang Huo on the way. He complained endlessly, and in his heart he greeted Yang Huo's mother and ancestors a hundred thousand times. How bad! But he still had a smile on his face, "Oh, I was going to visit my house, but I didn't expect to meet you halfway. It's fate, it's definitely fate."

The Yanghuo people were unreasonable and said harshly, "You, come out and serve the country as an official. If you don't come out, you will be old and you won't be able to do anything you want to do."

Confucius said in his heart, will he just take refuge in you? Why don't the people curse me to death? But he still said perfunctorily with a smile, yes, yes, you are right.

After returning home, Confucius thought about it and thought it would be better to make an explanation. He specially held a reception to release his latest academic theory, which is "it is indecent to come and not to reciprocate." The implication is that all the men have come to pay their respects to me. It would be rude if I didn't return the favor. But I don't like him very much, so I went while he was away. A person should be like me, comprehensive and thoughtful, do you understand? After all, everyone is a respectable person.

Agudengba said with a smile: The Chinese custom of reciprocity originated from this story of Confucius. From then on, giving gifts and bribes became official. "It is rude to come and not reciprocate" has become a golden saying! Popular in China from generation to generation.

Therefore, Confucius wanted to pay attention to etiquette. After he preached it everywhere, everyone on the earth knew that if he did not follow etiquette, he would be a beast. If he did not follow etiquette, it would be better to let him die.

Agudemba continued:

During their political exile, Confucius and several of his students were once besieged by government troops in Chen and Cai. Seeing that they had not had food for several days and nights, and were about to go to see God, the student Zilu believed that he was not afraid of hardship. Not afraid of death, he broke out of the siege, snatched other people's clothes, and exchanged some wine and pork for Confucius to eat. Of course, he didn't tell the teacher where these things came from. I guess Confucius actually knew in his heart that these wines and pork were definitely not obtained in the right way, but he didn't ask. Doesn’t it mean that those who don’t know are not guilty, so they can eat with peace of mind.

Later, when Confucius became a Taoist and was highly regarded by Duke Ai of Lu, he began to pay special attention to his status. He would not sit on the mat if it was not placed upright, and would not eat the meat if it was not cut squarely. Zilu was quite confused. He felt that the teacher was so pretentious, was he starting to become corrupt? So he asked Confucius, "Teacher, you were very hard and simple back then, but you must beware of the attacks of sugar-coated bullets from capitalism."

Confucius's face was straightened, and he said deeply, after analyzing the specific situation in detail, we are also human beings. Back then, there was no condition, and if you didn't eat, you would die. Now that living conditions have improved, we should also pay attention to etiquette. Zilu, remember, as long as this person lives, he only needs to be polite, otherwise he will be no different from an animal. Zilu looked at the teacher with admiration and nodded sincerely.

In Confucius's sanctimonious life, there was another suspected scandal. That also happened during his exile. The heroine is Wei Linggong's wife, Nanzi. Nanzi is the best representative of the decadent and decadent life of the upper class. She was originally a royal noble from a small country called Song. When she was young, she was in a relationship with her cousin Chao. However, at that time, intermarriage with the same surname was tantamount to incest, so the two could only date secretly in private. Later, Nanzi married Wei Linggong, the chairman of the Wei Kingdom. Because of her unparalleled beauty, Wei Linggong was completely fascinated by her. And what kind of person is Wei Linggong? He has taken up all the little hobbies of the upper class, such as promiscuous relations between men and women. From this perspective, these two couples are really the best team.

Duke Linggong of Wei felt that one-on-one sexual relations were not enough, so he specially invited his wife's old lover to the palace to play two-on-one. Nanzi saw that her husband was so open-minded, so she took the initiative to hook up with her husband's subordinate Mi Zixia.

Everyone can see that Nanzi is a famous slut. Just like this woman who was addicted to fornication, she heard that a famous intellectual had fled to her own country. She didn't know what kind of nerves she had, and she sent someone to summon Confucius into the palace.

Logically speaking, Confucius should refuse this invitation. But he didn't. The master, who was fifty-six years old at the time, threw the famous theory that "women are not to be messed with" out of the window and ran away obediently. After entering the palace, I spoke a few words to Nanzi through the curtain, heard the jingling of the jewelry on Nanzi's head, and didn't even see him face to face.

When Confucius returned to his place of residence, Zilu, who had been waiting impatiently, immediately slapped the table and said, "Teacher, how do you go to see that woman?" Why not reject it? Don't you usually tell us that women are tigers? What's more, she has a bad reputation. Why don't you keep yourself clean? This is not the behavior of a magnanimous gentleman.

According to Confucius's practice, he should tell some great truths, immediately gain a theoretical advantage, and paint a glorious image for what he did. But he probably hadn't recovered from the tinkling sound, or was still muttering in his mind about why he didn't insist on seeing Nanzi's true beauty just now. When he was suddenly scolded by the student, he was startled and instinctively blurted out, He raised his hands and swore an oath: If I do something shameful, the sky will strike me with thunder, the sky will strike me with thunder! ——You see, no matter how smart a person is, when forced into a hurry, there are times when he pretends not to be what he is.

The old man's words are quite a bit like "There is no three hundred taels of silver here," which is ruthless but affectionate. It's not that he really did something shameful, but that maybe the old man did have some romantic thoughts in his heart. It can't be said, it can't be said. The old man said it, food and sex are nature. The secret of it can be understood if you take a closer look.

However, Confucius' reputation was not affected in any way. As mentioned before, after all, he made the entire rules of the game - this is his difference and the brilliance of his old man's show. But he also said that we are all human beings, and it is inevitable that there will be times when we don’t think carefully and reveal our true feelings.

Agudenba smiled and said:

According to "Historical Records·The Family of Confucius", Confucius went to Zheng State and got separated from his students on the way. So Confucius stood alone at Guodong Gate. A man from Zheng said to Zigong, a student of Confucius: "The man standing at the east gate. His forehead is like Yao, his back is like Gaotao, his shoulders are similar to Zichan, but the difference from the waist down is three inches." , as tired as a dog that has lost its owner and wanders around." Zigong told Confucius the actual situation.

Confucius smiled happily and said: "It is a trivial matter to say who I look like. However, it is indeed true to say that I resemble a dog that has lost its owner and wanders around! It is indeed true!"

Confucius was not a saint, but just a human being. He was a man of humble origin, but he used the ancient nobility as his standard to lobby everywhere, worried about the rulers, and dreamed of restoring the rule of Duke Zhou. He was very lonely and helpless, with burnt lips and dry mouth, wandering around, really like a homeless stray dog. Even Confucius admitted that he was a lost dog. A homeless dog is a homeless dog. It is a metaphor for a person who has nowhere to go and is running around. The synonym of bereaved dog is drowned rat.

What’s interesting is that those who praise Confucius sing praises for this bereaved dog, saying that Confucius was a man who was keen on pursuing the past, tireless in learning, and tireless in teaching. He passed on ancient culture and taught people to read classics; a man who was moral and knowledgeable, but A person who has no power but dares to criticize the powerful people of the world; a person who is passionate about ancient ways and dreams of restoring the rule of Duke Zhou and stabilizing the people of the world. Confucius' spiritual home was "Zhou Rites", which was one of his traditional cultures, so Confucius was not considered a "lost dog". If Confucius is described as a "lost dog", then this is a personal attack on Confucius. I thought that those who sang the praises of bereaved dogs must also be stray dogs.

Agudengba sang a song "The Lost Dog":

The lost dog wanders everywhere,

Looking around, there is chaos.

The rites are ruined and the music is ruined, and the king's way is delayed.

There is no way in the world, and it has been going on for a long time.

There is no wise king above, no wise men below.

The people are free to indulge their desires, but there is no discipline.

The dog hopes to save the world and is sanctimonious;

He looks like a dog and hits a wall at every turn.

Observe people and their appearance, and live a life of hypocrisy.

It was miserable and panicked, and no one cared about it.

When the common people saw it, they laughed and scolded them.

If the limbs are not diligent, the grains cannot be separated.
