The Fifth Showcase of Yu Garden, Shanghai上海豫园秀之五

豫园园主潘允端 曾任四川布政使 其父官至左都史 年迈辞官还魔都 为了侍父而建造 取豫悦老亲之意 故名豫园誉江南 亭台楼阁皆具长 Yu Garden was built by Pan Yunduan, who once served as the Provincial Governor of Sichuan. His father held the high-ranking position of Left Vice Minister of the Imperial Secretariat. In his old age, Pan resigned and returned to Shanghai. The garden was built to care for his father, and named Yu Garden to express his desire for his elderly parents' happiness. It is renowned throughout Jiangnan for its exquisite pavilions and towers.
