The Animal
Nature Debate
Veterinarian Mr.
Doug Thor was invited by Dun Jiashu, director of the Animal Nature Research
Center of Shuiyun Manor, and began to teach the animal students the second
lesson "What is animal nature?" on the lawn of the manor.
The dog Erbao,
the gossip cat, the tiger cub Tago, and the lion cub Manqi arrived on the lawn
early and occupied a good position to listen to the lecture.
Dunjiashu is an
expert on animal nature, while Doug Thor is a veterinarian who talks about
human nature. Mr. Doug Toll started his lecture today for the first time:
"Students, I believe you must have heard of the words 'human nature' and
'animal nature', but the meanings of these two words are different. Today's class
In class, I will first explain to you what ‘animal nature’ is.”
Veterinarian
Doug Tolle stroked his long white beard with his hand and said to the animal
students: "Beast nature is the instinctive attribute of animals. It is the
nature of animals in order to survive and reproduce. The main manifestations
are: animals will fight for food in order to obtain food. Spouses compete with
each other to find a suitable place to live. The form is brutal, brutal,
bloody, and unscrupulous. This is primitive, instinctive, and innate."
The animal
students were silent.
Speaking of
"animal nature", it is generally interpreted as "barbaric and
cruel". Human beings often think of the law of the jungle,
"describing extremely savage and cruel temperaments", "losing
reason, primitive impulses" and so on. No matter how we defend animals, we
cannot make humans give up criticizing and attacking animals for their
bestiality.
Doug Tolle
explained and analyzed this. He said: "Society is often realistic. From a
biological point of view, bestiality is natural. Bestiality expresses an innate
biological quality. It is uncovered and naked. The main function of bestiality
is still that of animals. In order for oneself and the tribe to survive and for
the continuation of the race’s incense. Beastiality was originally a behavior
for one’s own survival and reproduction of offspring.”
Black-necked
Crane asked: "Some people think that bestiality is the natural attribute
of animals and the source of evil. Is this right?"
The students
listening to the lecture, including pigs, horses, cattle, sheep, chickens,
ducks and geese, remained silent.
Doug Thor
pointed at the little lion Manchi and said: "In order to give their
children a good meal, there will always be tragic scenes of lion parents struggling
to kill prey. Humans do not accuse lions of being evil and worship lions very
much."
Doug Toll turned
to the group of animal students who were listening attentively. He said:
"Male animals always fight fiercely to compete for mates, and the female
who watches on the sidelines always chooses the winner in the end. Human beings
are not It is shameless to think that the winner is shameless, and no one will
accuse female animals of being watery. Natural animality has primitive
biological attributes. Because of animality, nature is full of vitality.
Motherhood in animals is also a kind of animality, that It is a kind of warm
bestiality, a kind of bestiality that is more worthy of praise.”
Gou Erbao and
Bagua Mao did not understand Doug Thor's explanation of animal nature. Gou
Erbao and Gossip Cat started talking quietly. Gossip Cat stared at Doug Thor's
legs and said to Gou Erbao: We all have four legs, but we know better than
these two-legged ones how different races should live in harmony. .
Black-necked Crane
and Hen Ham also disagreed with Doug Thor's explanation of animal nature. Hen
Ham said: We also only have two legs, but our maternal love is more noble than
humans.
Betty the crow
stood on the branch. She raised her neck and sang "The Dead Song":
It is natural for cats to catch mice.
Dogs protect their homeland as a sign of loyalty;
It is the hen's responsibility to hatch eggs.
It is fate that the cranes are together.
All birds and beasts have love,
Only human beings are the most ruthless,
Fighting for power and profit to destroy the nine
tribes,
Fishing, hunting, killing, life and death are
natural principles.
Stir-fried, stir-fried, stir-fried and braised,
Stewed, fried, braised and grilled,
Roasted over fire and stewed to relieve salivation,
Everything is served on a plate.
Is animal nature good or evil?
Why bother arguing?
Fish, insects, birds and beasts are all life,
When you fall into the human world, you lose your
soul.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
