For freedom
Wild boar are nocturnal animals, usually
most active in the early morning and evening, becoming nocturnal in disturbed
areas, usually starting shortly before sunset and continuing throughout the
night.
Wild Boar King Deborah usually doesn't come
out and walk around during the day. Approximately 12 hours of the day are spent
sleeping among dense foliage. Generally, they are active in the morning and
dusk for food, and enter the dense forest at noon to avoid the sun.
After the wild boar king Deb woke up, he
went out to look for food under the cover of night.
Wild boar is an omnivore that feeds mainly
on plants, with plant matter accounting for about 90% of its food. Their
feeding habits are very diverse, as long as they can eat anything, they feed on
young leaves, nuts, berries, grass leaves and roots, and use their hard noses
to dig roots and bulbs from the ground. They love to eat those protein-rich
nuts like acorns in the fall and prepare themselves for the winter ahead.
The food of wild boar is actually very
rich. It feeds on grass and worms in the soil. Sometimes it also steals bird
eggs, especially the eggs and chicks of grouse and pheasants. Although bird
nests are generally well hidden, wild boar have a very good sense of smell and
can smell the location of the nest. Usually the female incubating the eggs will
fly out quickly, hoping to lure the wild boar away from the nest, but the wild
boar knowing that a nest of eggs is nearby will continue to search for the nest
until it is found. Apparently wild boars are not stupid.
Wild boars are not only good at preying on
rabbits, mice and deer calves, but also scorpions, lizards and snakes, and even
young leopards and jackals. They will supplement their diet by eating just
about anything that fits in their mouths.
The snout of the wild boar King Deb is very
tough and powerful, and can be used to dig caves, push 40-50 kilograms of
weight, or be used as a weapon. Its sense of smell is particularly sensitive.
It can use its nose to distinguish the ripeness of food, and can even search
for a walnut buried under 2 meters of snow.
Wild boar Wang Debo can also use his sense
of smell to determine the location of sows.
Interestingly, domestic pigs and wild boars
often have secret affairs. In the deep mountains and forests, when the sows
raised by the mountain people reach the estrus period, it is sometimes
difficult to find a mate, so they "elope" into the forest to mate
with wild boars.
After the "honeymoon" is over,
the wild boar will send the "bride" out of the forest. When they part
ways, they will stop at the edge of the forest for a long time, looking up and
reluctant to leave. Four months later, the child of love was born. The piglets
were also colorful, with yellow stripes, some yellow and white, some yellow and
black. They were different from purebred Eurasian wild boar piglets, and
different from domestic pigs. There is a difference.
Piglets born from the combination of
domestic pigs and wild boars grow fast and strong, and their meat is lean and
has high nutritional value. This undoubtedly brings people ideas for the
development of Eurasian wild boars.
As the owner of an animal farm, Shan Weng
naturally would not give up this opportunity, so he acquiesced that the sows he
raised went to the mountains and forests to mate. But he never expected that
this would also bring him a huge disaster.
A sow named Pangpang ran into the mountains
and forests to find her best friend He He, and became the new concubine of the
wild boar king Deb.
Sow Fatty learned that the food in the
mountain forests had been reduced due to excessive human deforestation, so Sow
Fatty suggested that the wild boar Wang Debo plunder the feed from the animal
farms. She can assist Pig Queen He He in leading the sows and piglets in the
wild boar herd directly to the feed warehouse, where there is a lot of feed.
The wild boar Wang Deb adopted Sow Fatty's
suggestion and convened a pre-war meeting with all the wild boars to formulate
a plunder plan, which was named the "Special Action Plan". The wild
boars directly reported to the personnel at the animal farm Attack and keep
them out of the feed bank. Pig queen He He and sow Pangpang led the sow and
piglets directly to the feed bank for a feast. As a result, a human-pig war is
about to break out.
Sows Pangpang and He He led the piglets in
the wild boar group to happily dance the "Revenge" dance:
Some
people often say that we are stupid pigs,
Some
people often say that we are stupid pigs,
In
fact, there are more people in life,
Much
dumber and clumsier than a pig.
We
broke out of the pig pen,
We
return to the mountains,
We
know what freedom is,
We
know what freedom is.
In
order to fight for freedom,
We
live in the wind and rain;
In
order to achieve revenge,
We
are armed to the teeth.
Living
in a pigsty,
All
we can do is wait for death.
Live
in confidence,
To
be free.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
