Wisdom and courage
Because scavenger Luoba killed five hundred
bandits, he was recommended by the general and was promoted to the minister of
environmental protection by the king. Luoba was also rewarded with many
treasures.
However, the king's old ministers were very
jealous and said to the king: "This Luoba was originally just a scavenger.
Don't trust him too much. Now the king rewards and favors him so much that he
surpasses all the old ministers. This is There’s always something wrong.”
When Luoba heard them stopping the king, he
loudly threatened these old officials and said: "If anyone has the courage
to compete with me, come to the square and try your skills with me!"
After hearing what Luo Ba said, the old
ministers were all too frightened to say anything.
But the next day, they came up with another
way, because at that time there was a ferocious lion in a large wilderness in
their country, cutting off roads and eating people there, and no one could kill
it. The old ministers said to the king : "Since this Luo Ba is so brave,
wouldn't it be better to ask him to kill this lion and eliminate this great
harm for our country?"
The king thought it was very good, so he
gave Luoba a knife and a stick and asked him to kill the lion. Luoba had no
choice but to go now. He gritted his teeth and bravely went to the wilderness
to look for lions.
When the lion saw Luoba, he immediately roared
and jumped towards him.
Luoba immediately climbed up a big tree to
take shelter. The lion looked up and roared at him under the tree.
This big tree was chosen by Luo Ba in
advance, and he set a trap under the tree.
The lion roared ferociously under the tree.
Luoba sat on the tree trunk and threw the noose down, which happened to catch
the lion's neck. The lion was so frightened that it just trembled and struggled
desperately, but fell into the trap Luo Ba had set under the tree in advance.
Luoba told the general: "I have
captured the lion."
The general sent soldiers to tie up the
lion and took it to the square in front of the palace, shocking everyone who
watched.
The king rewarded Luoba twice, and all the
old officials had no choice but to respect him.
The people gathered around Luoba and sang
the joyful "Wisdom" song:
Foolish
people only blame others,
Incompetent
people always sigh,
Cowardly
people choose to give up.
Intelligent
people have great abilities.
The
wealth of life is the way of thinking,
rather
than monthly income figures.
Our
lives are never a rehearsal,
Every
day is live.
A
brave man will always face reality without fear,
Adapting
to circumstances is the way to deal with things;
The
wise man contains infinite wisdom,
Wisdom
and courage are a pair of good friends.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
