Mouse
Agudemba rode his donkey Mahu to a small
river. There was a small forest beside the river. The crow Betty suddenly flew
from the perching branch to the ground and caught a poor crow.
Agudenba saw the little mouse being caught
by the crow. He quickly snatched the poor little mouse from the crow's sharp
mouth, and then took it back to the small tent he had just set up in the
forest.
Agudengba brought some milk and grains to
the little mouse and comforted it. Agudengba also named the little mouse
"Maosi".
The little mouse Mausi was playing in front
of the tent, when a big cat came straight towards the little mouse. The big
cat's whiskers stood upright and its tail was raised high.
However, in addition to meditating,
Agudenba also knows many magic spells. As soon as he saw that his little mouse
was in danger, he immediately used magic to transform it into a stronger tabby
cat. The big cat couldn't find the little mouse Mausi in front of him, but met
the huge tiger striped cat, and the big cat walked away quietly.
Unexpectedly, that night, a wild dog barked
in the woods. The poor tiger cat was so frightened that it hid in the corner of
the tent and trembled.
Agudemba transformed the tiger-striped cat
into a ferocious big wolfdog. When the big wolf dog roared, the wild dog was
scared away.
But not long after, a hungry tiger came
outside the tent. The tiger was looking for food in the forest and suddenly
encountered a large wolfdog that had just transformed from a tabby cat.
Fortunately, the god Agudemba was by his
side. With a wave of his hand, he immediately transformed the big wolf dog into
an extremely strong and majestic Bangladeshi tiger. The big tiger of Bangladesh
scared away the hungry tiger.
Now, don’t mention how proud the big tiger
of Bangladesh is! It wanders around in the forest all day long, dominating
other small animals.
Agudenba saw everything in his eyes, and he
taught the big tiger of Bangladesh a lesson: "Without me, you would be
just a poor little mouse, and you don't even know if you can survive until now.
Don't be so self-righteous!" "
The big tiger of Bangladesh suddenly became
angry and completely forgot all the kindness that the god Agudumba had shown
him.
The big tiger of Bangladesh roared:
"Whoever dares to say that this king was once a little mouse, I will eat
him!"
Agudengba has seen the tiger's thoughts. He
said: "You ungrateful thing! Go back to the woods and continue being a
rat!"
In the blink of an eye, the arrogant and
invincible tiger of Bangladesh transformed back into the frightened, trembling
little mouse Mausi.
Mouse Mouse ran back into the woods and was
never seen again.
Agudumba said to his friend the donkey
Madhu: "I turned a little mouse into a big cat, then turned him into a big
wolfdog, and finally turned him into this majestic tiger of Bangladesh. But he
is self-righteous and ungrateful.”
Agudemba danced and sang:
What
is weak?
What
is powerful?
Don’t
be timid when you are weak;
Don't
be arrogant when you are strong.
The
sun god is the beacon,
But
the sun is too hot;
The
clouds are stronger than the sun,
But
a little too frivolous;
The
wind is stronger than the clouds,
But
likes to flow too much;
Snow
mountains are stronger than the wind,
But
cannot move;
A
mouse is not as good as a cat,
Not
as good as a wolfdog.
The
mouse turned into a tiger,
Being
timid is still like a mouse.
What
is eternity?
What
is change?
There
is no eternity in the world,
There
are always changes in life.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
