Tibetan mastiff and donkey
Agudengba rode his donkey Mahu to
the beautiful snowy Shuiyun Manor and met the owner of the manor, Dunjiashu.
While the owner of the village, Dunjiashu, was chatting with Agudengba, the
black-necked crane Zongzong and Tibetan mastiff Duoqi adopted by Dunjiashu also
chatted with the donkey Mahu.
The black-necked crane said to
the donkey: Not long ago, when a big bad wolf was about to ambush me, the
Tibetan Mastiff Duoqi shot out like an arrow. He bit the male wolf's throat.
Before the male wolf could react, the black-necked crane said to the donkey: ,
Duo Qi lifted the male wolf up hard, and then threw it heavily on the stone.
The male wolf died immediately. At this time, two female wolves rushed over.
The Tibetan Mastiff used its huge and powerful body to knock over the oncoming
female wolf. Facing the female wolf with its belly upturned, the Tibetan
Mastiff once again accurately bit its throat. At this time, another female wolf
found an opportunity and embedded her fangs into the Tibetan Mastiff's abdomen.
But the Tibetan Mastiff did not flinch. He used strong force to throw himself
away. The female wolf was thrown out with the torn flesh and blood of the
Tibetan Mastiff. The Tibetan Mastiff let out a low roar and flew out like an
arrow again. A few bites instantly killed the female wolf. Also killed by the
mouth.
Black-necked Crane Zongzong said:
Tibetan Mastiff has saved my life.
The Tibetan Mastiff looked down
upon the donkey in front of him. The Tibetan Mastiff said: "Hey, donkey
brother, you can only pull a stone mill and carry goods, what else do you
deserve to be praised for?"
The donkey answered slowly and
calmly: "You guard the gate and the courtyard for your master, which is
quite realistic. However, if it weren't for my hard work, how could I get so
much barley and goods? How can I have food and property for you to
protect?"
The Tibetan Mastiff was
speechless.
The black-necked crane flapped
its wings and sang the Dangbei song:
Sui Xiaoqingmai always raises his head high,
Suida's highland barley always lowered his head silently.
Nothing can be accomplished by the strength of one person alone.
A single piece of firewood cannot ignite a fire.
The water in the creek will just scream all day long,
The water in the sea never roars.
Although the back of the bee has patterns, it is not called a tiger.
Although a snail has antennae, it is not a yak.
We should work together to be friendly and united,
Because tigers dare not eat herds of yaks.
Although we cannot be at the top of a hundred people,
We will not fall behind thousands of others.
Taking the legendary wise Agu Demba as the protagonist, I started to create the Chinese-English version of "Snow Land Fable" using the traditional fable creation method that combines poetry and prose. Writing fables makes me feel like a child again. Studying snowy culture is my prescription to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
