Donkey fighting tiger
Agudengba once used his wisdom to persuade Tiger King Tiger. Tiger
King Tiger punished the lords who oppressed the people. Agudengba told the
donkey Mahu about this, but the donkey Mahu was not convinced. In order to let
Agudengba know that the donkey is not stupid, he decided to challenge Tiger
King Tiger.
The donkey Mahu went to the snowy mountains with Agudengba. He
made Agudengba squat in the grass and came to the Tiger Cave in the snowy
mountains alone.
Tiger King Tiger had never seen a donkey before. When he saw
Donkey Mahu for the first time, he felt that this huge creature, maybe a god,
was hiding in the cave and only dared to peek at Donkey Mahu secretly. Tiger
King Tiger did not dare to go out of the cave to approach it. He was very
cautious because he did not understand how capable Donkey Mahu was.
The donkey Mahu started roaring towards the tiger's cave, and his
roar caused a loud echo in the tiger's cave.
Tiger King Tiger was greatly frightened, thinking that the donkey
Mahu was coming to eat him, so he suddenly jumped out of the cave and ran away
far away.
The donkey Ma Hu smiled and said to Agudengba: Did you see it? The
donkey roars and the tiger is frightened.
At this time, Tiger King Tiger, who was hiding in the grass, was
carefully observing every move of the donkey Mahu. He felt that the donkey had
no special abilities, so he began to approach Mahu and tease it. Donkey Mahu
was furious and kicked the tiger on the head with his hoof.
When the tiger saw that the donkey was only capable of this, he
rushed forward and tried to kill the donkey in one bite.
The donkey Mahu quickly ran behind Agudengba and escaped the
disaster.
Tiger King Tiger unexpectedly saw Agudengba. Not only did he stop
attacking, but he also showed his favor to Agudengba by lying on all fours.
Donkey Mahu and Agudengba bid farewell to Tiger King Tiger.
Mahu, the donkey, said to Agudengba: Legend has it that my ancestors
were once eaten by tigers as lunch. Today you can witness that tigers dare not
hurt donkeys.
Agudemba smiled and said: Do you think tigers are afraid of
donkeys?
The donkey Mahu smiled and said: No, no, the tiger is afraid of
you. I have Agudengba accompanying me, how can the tiger hurt me?
Agudengba laughed: It turns out that donkeys are really not
stupid!
Agudengba rode his donkey Mahu upside down and walked by the
stream in the mountains and forests. Along the way, he sang "Walking
Around the World on a Donkey" by Naqu in the Snowy Land in Tibetan:
Riding a donkey to explore
the snow-capped mountains,
See the red lotus at the
foot of the snow-capped mountains.
Look around at the
mountains and mountains,
Looking at the blue sky is
particularly pure.
The donkey's hooves
clattered all the way,
Climbing mountains and
ridges with a calm mind.
Don’t be afraid of bumpy
mountain roads,
Sometimes I look down and
sometimes I look back:
Ancient people loved to
draw pictures of riding donkeys.
Today, people still write
about elegant affairs.
