Wake up(369)

Chapter 64 The Sound of the Waves

369

Nanyangsheng and Wanru left their hometown and returned to Hong Kong.

Wanru organized a large-scale gathering in Hong Kong, attended by her and Nanyang Sheng’s teachers: Bai Yu, dean of Central Plains College of Humanities, Shen Zhirui, professor of group psychology at Central Plains College of Humanities, and Hong Wenxuan, professor of sociology at Central Plains College of Humanities. There are also alumni Qin Xiling, PhD in Sociology, Lin Beixue, PhD in Medicine, Shen Haidong, PhD in Political Science and Law, and Zhou Yuzhong, PhD in Management.

The restaurant Wan Ru chose is Cafe Bau, which is one of the must-try restaurants in Hong Kong. The name of the restaurant pays homage to a rare hybrid plant in Hong Kong - Bauhinia (Bauhinia), and Cafe Bau is a dining concept born locally. It selects local agricultural products and fresh ingredients to create a Farm-to-Table delicacy choose. Each dish is carefully curated by renowned chef Alvin Leung and his team, offering fresh flavors unique to Hong Kong: dishes such as local hydroponic vegetables (beetroot, corn) with Bazhen sweet vinegar, walnuts and homemade Cheese, handmade cheese and black pepper penne with clam sauce and three yellow chicken wings, seafood of the day with local cabbage, mashed potatoes and Yangjiang black bean vinegar, etc. All use the most familiar ingredients to create a new taste experience.

Cafe Bau is located at Shop 8, Podium Level 1, J Residence, 60 Johnston Road, Wan Chai.

It is very difficult for former mentors and friends to gather together in Hong Kong. For Nanyangsheng and Wanru, it was the happiest thing to meet their most revered professor of group psychology, Shen Zhirui. Of course, Qin Xiling was most happy to meet Hong Wenxuan, a professor of sociology who liked him the most. Lin Beixue, Ph.D. in Sociology, is Qin Xiling's girlfriend.

The most gratifying thing about this party was that Mr. Bai Yu, the dean, was invited. Mr. Bai Yu is a nationalist elite full of ideological beliefs. The person who respects Mr. Bai Yu is Shen Haidong, a doctor of political science and law.

After all the staff arrived, Wanru gave a thank you speech first, and then asked Dean Bai Yu to speak a few words for everyone in accordance with Chinese tradition.

Dean Bai Yu was obviously a little excited to see his former colleagues Shen Zhirui and Professor Hong Wenxuan coming, as well as so many doctoral alumni.

Dean Bai Yu raised his glass and said:

I am very excited to see old friends reunited in Hong Kong. I have retired and now live in Hong Kong. My daughter and son-in-law live in Hong Kong, and they often take me around Hong Kong. The one that impresses me the most is Victoria Harbour. Although Hong Kong has been returned to China, the traditional customs and folk beliefs here are very different from those in the mainland. It may be difficult for Hong Kong people to assimilate to mainland values. I am a traditional nationalist, let me completely accept the Western management model of Hong Kong, I cannot change my point of view. Therefore, I am just here to retire in peace, eat Hong Kong food, drink Hong Kong tea, and do not get involved in any political activities, nor attend those speeches or meetings with political tendencies.

Sociology professor Hong Wenxuan smiled: Dean Bai Yu, I haven't seen you for many years, why have you changed so quickly?

Dean Bai Yu smiled: I have changed? no. I still stick to my previous beliefs. My beliefs have not changed. I just read more books and newspapers in Hong Kong in my free time. These books and periodicals are not available in the mainland.

Shen Zhirui, a professor of group psychology, said: Dean Bai, you should walk more and see more, staying at home all the time is not good for your health. Professor Hong and I went to Victoria Harbor together not long ago, and we often talked about domestic affairs. Not long ago, we were talking about Hu Jintao being taken away suddenly at the closing ceremony of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The Hong Kong media broadcast video clips, showing the world more details of the scene before Hu Jintao was taken away. It is said that Hu Jintao is Deng Xiaoping's designated successor. You have had contact with Hu Jintao. What is your opinion of this former leader?

Dean Bai Yu looked at Shen Zhirui and smiled: You are still the same, you always like to force me to make political statements.

Shen Zhirui smiled: Dean, don't get me wrong, I just want to hear your opinion, and your opinion represents the voice of the red intellectual elite.

Dean Bai Yu thought for a while and said:

In my mind, Hu Jintao is a real red elite. He is not only a great politician, but also an elite leader in the intellectual circle.

Hu Jintao was born in 1942. The Communist Party of China was established in 1949, and he entered elementary school not long ago. The Chinese students of this class, and countless generations after that, all studied politics from the CCP’s propaganda documents; all their history were newly edited “history of class struggle”; most of their Chinese were political poetry, essays by Lu Xun and Chairman Mao's poems and essays or party newspaper editorials. In school, regardless of middle school or university, reading Western literary works is a manifestation of "backward thinking"; in the 1950s, reading Soviet works "How the Steel Was Tempered" and "The Story of Zoya and Shula" "The works are no longer good. All publishing organizations in the society are the Party's propaganda fronts, and things with "problematic ideological positions" cannot be turned into printed letters. Time after time of political campaigns, the thoughtful and knowledgeable predecessors were either unlucky and down, or kept silent. Young students growing up in such a big environment cannot have any other ideas and talents except natural science knowledge and science and technology skills.

Dean Bai Yu told Professors Shen Zhirui and Hong Wenxuan that we teachers were all trained in that era. Our teaching periods were all in the era of Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao, and it was impossible for us to teach students out of the political environment at that time.

Shen Zhirui said: The principal is right. From the 1950s to the "Cultural Revolution Movement", there are still a large number of publications from past years in Chinese society and private families. There are still quite a lot of classic works of Chinese and foreign literature, history and philosophy. Many young students have absorbed a lot of human civilization from them. A heritage and a crystallization of ideas. Unfortunately, in this red-tide country, they are regarded as "dissidents" who are "ideologically reactionary", "dissatisfied with the party", and "resist ideological reform". ", "Red and expert" classmates to expose, criticize and suppress. I have suffered this loss.

Professor Hong Wenxuan smiled:

I was one of those youths who performed well. This kind of "excellent performer" includes two situations and properties.

One is childish, naive and simple people. They believe that the party and the government are naturally correct, and they should not disobey, obey, or follow. Don't use your own mind to think about things. Don't really know right from wrong. Such people are the vast majority. Such people may not be able to rise to the top, because they are not speculators.

The second is to assess the situation and rush to the "upper limelight", always firmly based on the "commanding heights" in politics. Such people do not believe that there is any theory of moral conscience in this society, because the right to define and explain moral conscience is the monopoly of those in power. To be at ease, the only way is never to lose. The essence of this kind of person is to follow the trend. If they are smart and obtain the Fa, such people will rise steadily. Fortunately, I am not one of these people.

The purpose of Zhao Ziyang's so-called "our training" is to treat the first type of people as the basic masses and use the second type of people to form a cadre team. I don't know if Hu Jintao belongs to the second category. But he definitely does not belong to the first category of people.

Those two types of people are "tame tools" and "screws". It is Mao Zedong and other founding leaders of the Communist Party of China who want to shape hundreds of millions of next-generation teenagers in China into stereotyped products.

Perhaps Zhao Ziyang understands that Hu Jintao, one of these products, cannot have any breakthrough "actions". And Deng Xiaoping's designation of Hu Jintao to succeed Jiang Zemin must have had extremely far-reaching considerations.

Shen Zhirui said: I agree with your opinion. Deng Xiaoping saw that economic reform and opening up had paid off, China had changed, and people's hearts had also begun to change drastically. People who are well-off are always more difficult to deal with than people who are starving and thin. I remember that the vulgar trend of "Hong Kong-Taiwanization" in mainland China was very rapid, and calls for democratization and change were also growing louder. Deng Xiaoping firmly believed that it is impossible for socialist China to go downhill like this.

Professor Hong Wenxuan said that according to Chen Yun's opinion: the most trustworthy people are only "one's own children", so they have started to let them come to power and become officials. According to Deng Xiaoping's instructions: "Let some people get rich first", as a result, his family and descendants became rich. Deng Xiaoping felt that the political need to return to pre-Cultural Revolution was already very urgent. Otherwise, the above-mentioned things will be difficult to keep for a long time. Although Deng Xiaoping said he opposed the Cultural Revolution, he was still on the path of the Cultural Revolution. The key to adhering to the Four Cardinal Principles was to uphold the leadership of the Party and the dictatorship of the proletariat. Therefore, Deng Xiaoping's "reform and opening up" was limited to the economic field, with the purpose of getting rid of the CCP's backwardness and poverty, and no longer looking like a beggar in rags on the international stage. He has no intention of letting the common people live in a relaxed atmosphere where they can think freely and speak freely; if so, why bother to clean up "spiritual pollution", why oppose "bourgeois liberalization", and why bother to drive Hu Yaobang and Zhao Ziyang out of power. He knew that the improvement of the overall economic situation would lead to a surge of "nonsense" in society demanding democratization and liberalization. Jiang Zemin, who likes to hum foreign songs, memorize English classics, and pretend to be elegant, will only accelerate this slide.

Shen Zhirui said: In my opinion, Hu Jintao's knowledge level, political attitude, ideological stance, and performance are like "Comrade Lei Feng". The appointment of Hu Jintao means that the time has come to make full use of the "screw". Hu Jintao is in charge of Guizhou, and he has a good reputation. In times of peace, he can make the people content with the status quo. He was in charge of Tibet, and when the Tibetans rose up to resist, he did not hesitate to command the armed military and police to severely suppress it, "treating the enemy as cold as severe winter." This is the most precious quality that can make Comrade Xiaoping rest in peace. However, Hu Jintao was unfortunately targeted by Zhao Ziyang. Hu Jintao has done nothing, and under his governance, Chinese society has become a mess.

Hu Jintao has no innovative initiatives, no clever tricks to clear up the chaos, no charm to unite people's hearts, and no power to straighten out the team. What he said with a stern face were all clichés, and the "harmonious society" he advocated with all his heart was a castle in the air. What he displayed was the worst and most reactionary way of sealing, blocking the Internet, blocking newspapers, blocking periodicals, and blocking some old party members. The police acted sincerely and sincerely, and used various hooligan methods to intercept petitioners who had nowhere to complain...and so on. However, he lived up to Deng Xiaoping's great trust: the CCP's "red country" did not change color and collapse under his hands.

At this time, Dean Bai Yu spoke:

In November 2002, Hu Jintao was elected as the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee at the First Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee and became the party's top leader. In March 2003, he was elected as the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, and later in 2004 and 2005, he was elected as the Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China and the Chairman of the National Central Military Commission. Hu Jintao is an alternate member of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, a member of the 12th to 17th Central Committee, a member of the Political Bureau and Standing Committee of the 14th to 17th Central Committee, and general secretary of the 16th and 17th Central Committee. He is a representative of the Seventh to Eleventh National People's Congress and a member of the Standing Committee of the Sixth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

During Hu Jintao's term of office, he partnered with Premier Wen Jiabao of the State Council. During their tenure, the two were called the "Hu Wen system" by the outside world.

I think China has undergone tremendous changes in the ten years of the "Hu-Wen system":

1. Hu Wen and Wen have been in power for ten years, and they have never regarded themselves as big countries, and they have not advertised "being a responsible big country", and they are not two fools. 2. Reduce the burden on farmers, abolish the agricultural tax, and realize the dream of Chinese farmers for thousands of years of "planting the land without paying grain (tax)". 3. The "New Rural Cooperative Medical Care" has been implemented, so that thousands of farmers have avoided the tragic experience of "being impoverished due to illness" and "returning to poverty due to illness". 4. The implementation of urban minimum living guarantees has given tens of millions of laid-off workers a way to survive. 5. Respect human rights, abolish detention centers, and abolish reeducation through labor regulations. 6. Increase pensions for retired workers by 10 to 12 percent each year for ten consecutive years. 7. Foreign affairs visits, basically without wives. 8. It is not easy to hold large-scale international conferences in China. 9. When a natural disaster occurs, you can immediately go to the disaster area to inspect and condolences to the victims. 10. In Beijing, we do not engage in the construction of various venues to show the strength of the people. 11. Steady diplomacy and relatively harmonious relations with other countries. 12. Do not engage in personality cults, and do not hype individuals. 13. The slogan of the scientific outlook on development is pragmatic and easy for the people to accept. 14. There have been no riots in the two special zones of Hong Kong and Macau for ten years. 15. Served for two terms, not attached to power and position, and retired naked. 16. Be polite and scholarly. 17. Never mention radical slogans, and rule by doing nothing. 18. The first slogan of "no tossing" was put forward to warn the people of the country. 19. Be open and aboveboard, and never form cliques within the party.

During the ten years of the "Hu-Wen regime", the national treasury was filled with foreign exchange reserves as high as 3 trillion U.S. dollars. It never competed to be a world leader, and most importantly, it never threw money abroad.

Dean Bai Yu also concluded that: the scientific concept of development is to adhere to the people-oriented, comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development concept, and promote the coordinated economic and social development and the all-round development of people. People-oriented means to take the interests of the people as the starting point and foothold of all work, to continuously meet people's various needs and promote the all-round development of people; to be comprehensive means to continuously improve the socialist market economic system and maintain a sustained, rapid, coordinated and healthy economy While developing, speed up the construction of political civilization and spiritual civilization to form a pattern of mutual promotion and common development of material civilization, political civilization and spiritual civilization; coordination means to coordinate urban and rural coordinated development, regional coordinated development, economic and social coordinated development, and domestic development. and opening up to the outside world; sustainability means coordinating the harmonious development of man and nature, properly handling the relationship between economic construction, population growth, resource utilization, and ecological environment protection, and promoting the entire society to embark on a civilized development path of production development, affluent life, and a good ecology .

  1. Group psychological exploration novel (Shenyang)

Today is like a crow gathering, and tomorrow will disappear like a beast. This is the case for hooligans, politicians, and ignorance people. Today, you can mix together, and will run counter to the benefit tomorrow. I explore the novels of group psychology, hoping that more people in the world can wake up from nightmares.
