Mantis Ghost - Clay Sculpture

The mantis is a natural predator, chasing and ambushing its prey. Its defenses fall into three categories: intimidation, flight, and feigning death. The female mantis is a deadly lover, luring the male and preying on him. Its forelegs tucked up as if in prayer, it chooses to go to heaven rather than remain a ghost.
