The cycle of day and night continues

Day and night, the sun and moon change; lingering clouds drift by; noisy storms arise; a chaotic world brings no peace; every second passes in an instant; every moment cannot be held back; year after year, wrinkles appear; youth has faded, leaving only longing.

Time lingers,

Time flies like an arrow, yet lingers; fleeting in an instant; every second gone, never to return; constantly turning; year after year the flowers are similar; year after year the people are different; the seasons cycle, day and night alternate; generation after generation, it's all fate.

Buddhist Interpretation of Hungry Ghosts: Their karmic cause in life was stinginess, greed, jealousy, or deceit. After death, they fall into the realm of hungry ghosts. Reincarnated, their nature is hard to change; they wolf down their food, are gluttonous, eat in an unsightly manner, and fear others will steal it. They are constantly scolded and disliked.
